Working with Jimena at kimkim, she assigned Guido (our guide) and Odi (our driver) from Peruvian Soul for our Cuzco-Machu Picchu trip to Peru. Wow - what a great experience for us. Guido is one of the most knowledgeable guides we have ever used, and educated us on Inka customs and history as only a local can. He took us to all the wonderful sights in and around Cuzco and educated us on where to find the best cuisine. In Machu Picchu, we spent two days with him and again marveled at his knowledge of the Inka trails and history of this wonder of the world! And of course, Odi drove us safely wherever we went on some very challenging roads! Thanks again to the Peruvian Soul team and kimkim for crafting a memorable itinerary for us to experience Peru. Highly recommended!!!

Our family (2 adults, 2 children - 8 & 10 years old) had an AMAZING two-week trip to Peru in July! Our local specialist, Jimena, understood right from the start the sort of trip our family was looking for and made the planning process extremely easy. She made all of the arrangements for us to see everything we had on our wish list, but also included many stops and sites along the way that we didn't even know about but made the trip all the more special. Upon arrival in Lima, we were greeted by Bosco (at like 2:00 in the morning!) who was exceptionally friendly got us to our hotel and ensured an easy check-in. While we had some free time in Lima, we took a food tour through the Barranco neighborhood that was exceptional. After Bosco got us back to the airport a couple of days later, we were then greeted in Cusco by our private guide Guido and driver, Alan. I cannot say enough good things about these two gentlemen. Guido has been leading tours in the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu for many years, and his deep knowledge and easy manner enriched each of the six days we spent with him. I even ended up needing to go to a clinic one day because of food poisoning and Guido and Alan stayed with me and ensured I got the meds I needed and got back to the hotel, even though it extended their day by a lot. I'm forever grateful them, and our entire time in Cusco/Sacred Valley was so much richer than I expected it to be because of them. After our time in the Cusco area, we headed back to Lima where we met with Bosco again. He traveled with us from Lima to Paracas and while he wasn't leading our tours, it was reassuring to know he was nearby if we needed anything at all. Our tours of the Ballestas Islands, Paracas Nature Reserve, and overflight of Nazca lines were fantastic. I highly, highly recommend any and all parts of this trip to others. It was truly a trip of a lifetime and one that our family will remember forever. Many, many thanks to the entire team who made this happen!

Our recent trip to Peru was filled with fun and physical challenges. The Inca Trail from KM 82 to Machu Picchu is a good endurance test with elevation gains of approximately 5,000 feet and many ups and downs over four days and 30 miles. Please be physically prepared for this test. It will not be fun if you are sore or ill during the hiking and camping. Having guides and drivers during our entire trip was a real plus. Valeria, Julio, Chino, Yisus, Enrique, and Willy were wonderful ambassadors of Peru. Many thanks to Anne and Jesus for organizing such a fun and eventful trip. Recommend that you change a little money at a bank or at the airport ahead of landing in Peru. The exchange rate at the airport is poor but having soles in your pocket should help with tipping, etc. when you arrive. Your guides can help you with larger exchanges during your trip. ATM’s are another great source for soles. The Quechua, Aymara, and Uros peoples are happy and pleasant to be around. The Peruvian people seem to be hardworking and fun loving rolled into one. The Barranco and Miraflores are must see destinations while in Lima. Cusco and Saxay Wumun, Moray, Marasal, Puno, Ollantytambo, the Sacred Valley, and Lake Titicaca all had much to offer visitors. Whether you hike or take the train, Machu Picchu should be on everyone’s itinerary. The children of the Sun have a rich heritage and are happy to share their history with anyone who wishes to see. Hi, from start to finish my visit to Peru was superb, all thanks to Peruvian Soul. Everything was well organised from the small things like being picked up/dropped off at the airports to the tour guides (especially Willie around Machu Picchu and Cusco). Nothing was ever a problem if we had to tweak things. I’m not one of those people who write glowing reviews for the sake of it, but this company truly deserve it.

Absolutely stellar collaboration of accommodations, activities, resources. Jimena did an outstanding job organizing a trip that needed to be adjusted to a solo trip after my brother suffered an injury last minute that did not enable him to go.

Edwar was exceptional as a guide. He was interesting, funny, knowledgeable, authentic. I would highly recommend him and Peruvian soul to anyone going to Peru!

We had an amazing experience. The walking tour in Baranco with Andrea was so informative and left us looking for all of the food choices. The Pisco tour and dune buggy ride with our guide Alavore was excellent. He went out of us way to make us feel welcome. And the few days we had in Cusco with Willi were amazing. He is probably the best tour guide I have ever had.

Peruvian Soul planned an amazing 17 day trip in Peru for five of us. We visited the Amazon, Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley, Cusco, Arequipa and the Colca Canyon. There were lots of details to our trip and Peruvian Soul handled everything perfectly. We had amazing guides, memorable experiences, outstanding food, and we learned so much about the history and culture of this beautiful country. We went on a 7 hour hike of the Inka Trail, explored the Citadel at Macchu Picchu, and then went rafting in a different location (opposite direction of Macchu Picchu)
The guides were wonderful, really passionate about their work. The entire team made our whole experience easy. Planning was amazing, they handled all logistics, moved our luggage from point to point. We were really taken care of and they made sure that we got to experience the most during our short time there.

My husband and I spent a week in Peru and were so happy with our experience with Peruvian Soul. They were punctual, knowledgeable, helpful, thoughtful, made us feel safe, etc. We would absolutely recommend them to friends and family.

Our experience with Peruvian Soul was truly outstanding. Thanks to their entire team, our vacation in Peru was incredibly memorable and fun, but also efficient and well planned. Anne G did a remarkable job communicating with us to understand our interests and to build an itinerary that ended up exceeding our expectations every single day. Our guide (Julio Cesar) was incredibly knowledgeable about the history, culture, geography, and native wildlife in the Cusco and sacred valley areas. He was also very tactful and professional in recognizing our interests and reading our desire to go further/faster or tone it down for the day. I would HIGHLY recommend Julio as a guide in the Cusco area! Lastly, our driver (Odilon) was perfect. He was always on time, was extremely skilled in navigating difficult traffic, and was super friendly but not overly talkative. He always made us feel comfortable and safe while driving!

I would use Peruvian Soul again in a heartbeat!! Thank you for an unforgettable vacation in the Andes!!

A fantastic experience from Peruvian Soul.

I originally contacted Peruvian Soul to help me with a visit to Chachapoyas and the Utcabamba Valley during my self planned holiday.
From my interactions with them it became clear that I could use and rely on them to book the guides and accommodation and trips in each location.
They were incredibly efficient and sorted everything out at a cost effective price.
Having given us a day to explore in Lima to recover from the flight from the UK, we then did a food tour in Barranco before visiting the Larco museum.
After that the guides kicked in. We had Antonio in Arequipa and the Colca valley, Richard in Puno, Julio in Cusco and Jhon in Chacapoyas.
Each guide had a driver and loked after us from pick up to drop off.
In Lima, we had the lovely Carlos (ponytailed surfer) picking us up and dropping us off.
The itinerary was largely perfect with a mixture of ruins and local culture. For example, in the Sacred Valley we visited a farming community in the Highlands.
Our guide in Cusco is employed by Peruvian Soul and was amazing. He is allowed to guide up the one day Machu Picchu trail which helped us.
Our guide in the Utcabamba valley was self employed but clearly knows the valley well and took around Kuelap (thoughly recommended) and to the Gocta waterfall.
Well arranged by Jimena and well supported in country by Jesus.

Worked with Julio and he was such a joy, learning about his homeland PERU. Peru has so much to offer with its history, people and cuisine and I hope to see more of it in the future with this company and it's amazing guide JULIO!!!!!!!

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Rob. He explained everything very well and showed us around Cuzco, Machu Picchu, Sacred Valley, and Saqseywaman. In addition, he was patient in letting us shop for our alpaca souvenirs. The hotels they selected were very nice and food was provided on many occasions and tasty. I would go back and do my second tour in Peru with them soon!

We worked with Anne Godoy to plan our 10 day trip to Peru. She thoughtfully and quickly answered all of our many questions, and gave great ideas and adjustments to our schedule when we requested. She has great knowledge of the areas, and various activities available, was able to answer our questions about altitude and weather concerns, and made the entire experience very positive. I would highly recommend working with her for your trip planning.
