Sales staff are great. I was in a very time critical situation so I spent a lot of money to have the product shipped over night (it was delivered in about a week). Usually not a big deal and I'm certainly not one to complain but the situation cost us a family vacation, our first real family trip in 3 years. So I'm still a little frustrated with the whole ordeal.
Bought this system, water conditioner, not softener,(NS3 - pre filter, carbon tank and Naturesoft tank), after much research, to replace a salt (potassium) based system . The salt based system was expensive and we disliked the slippery feeling ( what you get from a water softener). We also had "water spots" on our fixtures (calcium deposits) probably due to the salt system nearing the end of its useful life.
The new system was delivered in about a weeks time, no issues. I was going to plumb the system (plastic pipe/fittings). It was easier to adapt to the existing 1 inch copper pipe. Followed the instructions for filling, soaking, etc. That was 2 days idle, which I used for pre-plumbing the system.
Our system has been in operation for about 3 weeks now. There is a BIG difference in the water quality. There is no chlorine odor at all. No more water spots on glass shower doors. The dishwasher (15+ yrs old) actually cleans with no water spots. I can now drink the water from any faucet, however, I reinstalled the refrigerator filter for extra filtering of ice and water. I added a spigot on the conditioned water so I can wash cars (very little to no spotting). Showers, washing hair and laundry were also improved.
As per the instructions, the water heater should be drained,flushed and refilled. I did a quick flush and removed about 3 cups of silvery sediment. I will do a complete flush in a couple months.
Living in central California for 2 years, we had a water softener guy test the water: 20+ grains of hardness.
The town I live in is giving a $300 rebate to demolish my old salt system., for environmental reasons.
I am going to have my water tested by an independent agency for my own peace of mind.
Note: I have not researched enough into the science of how the Naturesoft does what it does, which is to essentially preventing scaling , calcium mineral deposits, from adhering to pipes, etc and allow them to pass through the system without causing plumbing issues. I just feel that this system delivers what Pelican says it will do from what I've seen thus far. I hope to do a later review as well.
I would recommend the salt free system to anyone considering this alternative to a salt based system.

Products work correctly. Customer service is friendly except they do not tell you correct information. Told technical support how I was planning on installing the system as well as the material I was going to use. Was told everyrhing I was going to use would be fine for the system with no problems. That was incorrect however, the UV light system ended up melting the cpvc pipe I was using causeing an extremely foul smell and taste with the water. Called to tell them the problem to which I was told they have never had this issue, then proceeded to tell me they recomend using 10" of metal pipe so this does not happen even though I was never told this even when I told them exactly how I was putting it together. These systems are not cheap and this caused the price to go even further up due to having to buy new material for the system. Offered no compensation and was left to handle it myself.
Great phone support and easy to order but we cant find a plumber to install. Pelican should set up certified plumbers for each major area. We are only 35 miles for Philadelphia but no plumber wants to install so far. Hopefully we will work this out soon.
Absolutely the worst customer service. I never received what I ordered, usual FEDX issue. Spoke to them several times about this told them I want a refund. The person I spoke to seemed to think I was lying, very rude. Still trying to get my refund. Apparently, I will have to go to the Attorney Generals office to get my money back.

I live at the beach the view is great but the water I just put up with as we live in a condo.Untill now I love this product it not only made my skin feel softer but my hair stays cleaner longer!! The auto ship program is a must for me it’s delivered when I need it!!

I installed this unit 3 days ago, I keep checking the TDS readings no change from regular tap water.
I just took a new test: Tap water = 170 ppm. Filtered water = 174 ppm.
I see no significant change in the quality of water...
When I listened to the commercials on this system I was completely sold on the unit, it is a shame that this does not work for me.
If I am doing something wrong I would appreciate any suggestions and maybe we can correct this situation.

We did a lot of research before buying the PC-600 filter and found this one to be the best value and best filter for our home. The pre-filter is inexpensive and easy to change. In fact we just purchased another for our daughters house. Pelican shipped the order quickly. Very happy with our filter.
The installation was a little tricky and I needed to call for help, but once it was installed it has been working great. Very happy with the quality of the water, the capacity, and the water pressure. I have already recommended it to several friends!
Easy to install. Good fit on faucet. Good tasting water. Unobtrusive on counter.

I shopped around for a while for a water system that would fit my needs. The compact system was perfect for my home and the auto-ship system of replacement products has worked perfectly. Prior to purchasing, I had several questions, which they were quick to respond by both phone and email. I would recommend Pelican Water Systems to those concerned with water quality.
Unit seems to work very well. Installation was a little more difficult than expected and the cost of the installation kit was an unpleasant surprise.
I've had my Whole-house filter system installed for two years now. It is hassle free, easy to maintain and requiring very limited contact with customer service. I receive all replacement filters and UV lamps on a regular schedule, further reducing involvement with Pelican. In the rare instances I have contacted Customer Service,with questions, they have been courteous and very helpful.
Only had system a couple of week now so good so far.
