My six-month old lab inhales his food so I have always used a slow feeder to prevent bloat. He also loves to tip over, chew, and play with his bowl, and he has destroyed every plastic slow feeder or silicone insert feeder I’ve ever tried. The silicone inserts actually made it easier for him to grab onto and move his dish wherever he wanted, which led to some behavioral issues when he tried to get me to chase him. I considered a ceramic bowl with an integrated slow feeder design as they tend to be heavy, and it would be unlikely he could pick them up by the edge, but I didn’t want to take a chance that he would break it and cut himself trying to pick it up. What I really needed was a heavy bowl, stainless steel construction with an integrated slow feeder obstacle, that he would not be able to grab onto and move. I did quite a bit of searching without a lot of success until I found the Pawzevent XXL bowl – this was exactly what I had in mind. The wide, rounded top edges completely prevent him from picking up the bowl, and it can’t be tipped over. I was initially not sure about the donut-shaped design to encourage slow feeding (has a single large obstacle in the middle of the bowl so he has to eat around the outside), but it worked really well and he takes longer to eat now than with the maze-design plastic bowls I was using previously.

I did have a slight hiccup with delivery, but Pawzevent Customer Service was very responsive to my concerns and really exceeded my expectations in resolving the issue. I manage a large customer service organization for a manufacturing company that ships medical devices globally, so I am very familiar with these types of issues and I really appreciate the level of concern that Pawzevent had in satisfying a first-time customer. The next time I need a dish I will definitely buy from them again.

I shipped the large stainless steel bow to QLD Australia and it came exactly like picture. Also has rubber bottom to stop from scooting

I bought the xl slow feeder for my dog and received a small or medium bowl. I immediately reached out and they said to send pictures which I did and they will not return it I can’t use it at all I’m so disappointed and this bowl wasn’t cheap. I’m out 45$ and have a bowl I can’t use I think it’s a terrible policy and not fair when the bowl wasn’t even used!!! I would never deal with a company that’s doesn’t stand by their products and recognize they made the mistake and sent me the wrong bowl. I reached out to them the day I received it and was told no returns

Really, really good bowl.
We have a Bernese Mountain dog who has suffered with GDV in the past and we do everything to prevent it happening again.
He has has slow feeder bowls for years but they were plastic type. He's so desperate to stuff his face he had scraped the old bowls and I was fed up of replacing them.
I saw this bowl and ordered it, my husband took one look and said 'that won't slow him down'
Ha! How wrong he was! This bowl really does work and our boy takes longer to finish dinner than he ever has before.

The bowl feels really substantial and the bottom does seem to be a little bit non slip - but then nothing will stop 50kg trying to shove their face at it.

My only small negative is that you need to hold the bowl with two hands, there's no easy way to hold it in one hand. We hold the dog bowls at a good height for the dogs to stop gulping air when eating. I can't easily hold this bowl and one for the Newfoundland at the same time.
But that's my personal choice - not enough to drop a star.
