I travelled over from Northern Ireland to get some trail prep done with Lewis. His training field was well kept and had great stations/enviromentals to help build confidence in my dog. Lewis is easy to get along with and his teaching in my 1-1 lesson was well broken down insuring I understood each step. His decoying was exceptional, working grips with my dog and safe catches every time! Will definitely be visiting Lewis again on my next trip to England.

It’s very rare to come across a club that equally prioritises the needs of high drive performance breeds while maintaining obedience that allows them to function well in day to day life. As a dog trainer it’s common for me to come across certain breeds in pet homes that require an extra curriculum activity to meet their genetic requirements. Having a trusted club like Pawfection that specialise in meeting working drives through programmes that require clean obedience is priceless. I’ve seen only admirable and outstanding achievements come from the dogs in this club. One dog in particular “Koda” a herder x gsd, who needed more than a pet life could provide her, is now qualified in PSA and is thriving. There’s a noticeable difference in her that only comes from doing something that makes her feel fulfilled. The team are great too, always very open, friendly, adaptable and a great mix of skill sets.

Pawfection exceeded all expectations. Their expertise in close protection dog training is outstanding. Our dog is incredibly well-trained—confident, obedient, and reliable in every situation. The team was professional, knowledgeable, and supportive throughout the entire process.

Been training psa (obedience and protection) with pawfection for 2 years, Lewis has got my dog from pdc to now trialing level 3. I travel a 500 mile round trip weekly to train there and its worth every mile. The facilities and training are great, would recommend pawfection to anyone who wants to enjoy their dog more whether it be obedience, protection or both.

I have been training at Pawfection for around two years now. I regularly travel for 121 sessions and also attend PSA club weekly, which is a mix of obedience and protection training, this is an 8 hour round trip for me and it’s totally worth it. I have seen huge progress in my dogs. The passion and understanding Lewis has for each dog he trains is obvious to see.
I also recently got a puppy from Lewis. She is everything I wanted and more, social, stable and a pleasure to own. I can’t wait to see what she can achieve with the right protection foundations being laid in training with Lewis, which is super important for any puppy. I honestly couldn’t recommend Pawfection enough.

I’ve done multiple sessions with Lewis and would highly recommend. I’ve taken different dogs including my GSD, Cane Corso & Doberman for bite work and obedience sessions. Lewis & Iona are very skilled in the sport dog world and have helped me tons with my GSDS obedience and protection, they explain everything they do in a detailed way for you to understand. I can’t recommend this company enough, super skilled and their training ground is always amazing, clean, tidy and kept to a high standard. Their knowledge is fantastic 💪🏼

Couldn’t recommend Lewis enough!!
We live Newcastle way, therefore for the type of dog training we do there isn’t many trainers our way. So we do a good long travel to get to Lewis and his facilities! The facility itself is great! Absolutely well set out and big enough for training let alone events! Lewis and co workers, are all friendly! Including other trainers that come to the facility to work. Everyone is friendly! Lewis and his team are well knowledgeable, and have helped fix many little issues.
I’ve left my female with Lewis before for a period of time to fix an issue I had with leash pulling! Let’s say, after the stay we have no more constant leash pulling🙏

Can’t thank him enough! And happily travel there no matter the length of time it takes!

Couldn't recommend pawfection more! they're amazing with dogs and are really great and friendly people, i go here weekly for obedience and bitework, honestly couldn't tell you anywhere else to go, their the best. , my doberman did a board and train here for about 3 weeks and she came back perfect, so thankful for lewis and iona

What can I say I started training here around 4 years ago with my boy Zeus can’t fault it one bit grounds always clean and tidy Lewis very helpful with the training for the dog and myself as a handler very knowledgeable and friendly makes you feel at home top bloke

Purchased my first Herder puppy from Lewis. The whole process couldn’t have been easier. From our first communications explaining what I was looking for through to viewing the pups and being shown around the PawfectionK9 facility, to finally selecting our pup with Lewis’s expert opinion. The almost constant updates on the puppies progress, the first training sessions at the PawfectionK9 training ground everything interaction has been seamless.
The continued support and advice from Lewis has been first class.

Lewis is a great trainer and breeder. Top quality facilities and is always looking to further his knowledge in dogs and training. I started using him back in 2022 with a dog i purchased elsewhere and he brought her up to the high standard she is today. Read the dog well and only pushed her to the limits she could be at comfortably. Always progressing in every session. She is now an exceptional all round PP dog

Since then i purchased a young pup from one of his litters and he has excelled aswell. The purchase was easy. Communications and updates were regular and informative and handover was a breeze. He whelped the dog to a high standard as is blatantly obvious from his clean facilities and top quality equipment. The dog was regularly seen after handover for foundational training and he even sorted out a couple of handler errors along the way. He has since been health tested with excellent hips and elbows.

Pawfection all the way

I was struggling with my dog for 3+ years. She’d learnt loads of bad habits, she’d eat rocks on walks, was reactive to strangers out and about and just a general pain to live with. I’d gone through loads of trainers with little progress. I knew she needed ‘a job’ but had no idea where to start or what she’d be suitable for. Lewis and Iona were recommend to me and they were honest from the start with what they thought they could achieve. She did a months residential and she came back a completely different dog.
Still, 2 years on since she came home and she’s stable out and about and couldn’t care less about people around her. She no longer tries to grab hold of rocks and her recall is perfect. Not only is she now excelling in dogs sports she’s also super calm at home and super easy to live with.

Their facilities are unmatched and I’d recommend anyone with a dog who is struggling to reach out to them.

Couldn’t recommend and thank Lewis and the guys at pawfection enough!! Took my German shepherd for some basic manners as was starting to get a handful so I left rocky with him for just 4 weeks the outcome has been astonishing even a couple of close friends carnt believe how he has progressed overall also👍👍 carnt wait to get my 1to1s started next week 😬😆

Most importantly the dogs and training are exceptional in that the dogs are level headed and social as well as having the precision training that's required for protection dogs!
