Machine is good and good quality however a little bit of the frame was bent when arrived also when you pull the trigger for mig wire to come out it pull the wire reel and makes it all slack

When I was looking for a new MIG set…
When I was looking for a new MIG set last year, I wanted a powerful single-phase pulse welder with a 4-roll wire feed. This was so that I could weld aluminium whilst away from my workshop and its 3-phase supply.
Whilst there were various brands that offered some of what I needed, the PATON™ ProMIG-250-15-4 MIG Welder appeared to offer it all - at an extremely competitive price. I'd never heard of the company before and made a few enquiries by email about aspects of the machine and the warranty. I was very impressed to get informative replies to my questions almost by return - which was the complete opposite of the response from some UK companies.
Based on the replies to my questions I went ahead and placed an order. I have no regrets. The welder arrived in less than a week, delivered by Fed-Ex - who I have found always deliver on time and always with great care.
This welder has got a much higher duty rating than a well-known UK built 'equivalent', plus the 4-roll wire feed which is essential for worry-free feed of aluminium wire. The listing says its maximum welding current is 335A - which I imagine is the peak pulse current. Also, I note that its programming snips off the blob that forms on the wire at the end of a weld - enabling the next arc to strike up perfectly.
In the past I have owned a Fronius Transpuls Synergic 330 and a Lorch S3 Mobil, both of which cost 10x the price I paid for this Paton machine - and both of which broke down after the guarantee had run out and were uneconomical to repair. Whilst the Fronius and Lorch were lovely machines and had more programming available the defaults on this Paton machine do the majority of what I need it to.
If anyone is wondering about Paton, I have no hesitation in recommending them. Based on my experience, and that of others who have left reviews here, I think you will be well pleased.

Really good bit of kit !
I had a few concerns about buying a Chinese machine and I was looking to buy British ! Well, that would be ok if I had pockets full of money. Then I saw Paton machines and, I think I've bought their cheapest MIG welder. I'm totally impressed with it. I've asked for a bit of advice concerning the settings and I had the CEO reply with simple advice that is very helpful. The results have been so good. The wreck of a Herald that I'm getting repaired is coming along just fine and nothing seems to be a problem with this machine ! I can thoroughly recommend this company's products, going on my experience.

Paton ECO-160-C Welding Kit
Paton ECO-160-C Welding Kit. Great little welding kit. Cant believe how small and neat they are now. Lovely soft 3 meter length cables to work with that roll up in the box easily. Decent quality electrode holder and earth clamp. Good rubber feet so the metal unit isn't sitting on the ground, nice carry handle as well as a strap. Looks a well made unit.
I don't like the 2 pin plug with adaptor to 3 pin UK plug, surely they could be supplied with a 3 pin plug for UK market.
I would have liked to have seen the rod diameter size on the digital display instead of the amps. Then you could have quickly set it to the rod size and finely tuned it after that.
As i bought the kit it came with a helmet but its only cheaply made and doesn't stay up no matter how tight it is. I would have rather paid more and you upgraded the helmet but having said that, also in the kit was 2 packs of welding rods, 2 magnetic holders and a pair of gauntlets and a plastic case, so even if you bin the helmet it is still a fantastic value kit.
I would have given 5 stars had it not been for the issue with the plug and amps on the dial instead of rod size.

Regarding the plug, thank you for pointing this out. The machines are supplied with a 2-pin EU plug with a UK adapter so that the same unit can be used across different European markets. That said, we fully understand your point and we are already looking at options to supply factory-fitted UK plugs for the UK market in the future.
As for the display showing amperage instead of electrode diameter, we appreciate the suggestion. Many welders prefer to fine-tune the amperage depending on the welding position and material, which is why we show amps by default, but your idea is very valid and we will pass this feedback to our engineering team for consideration in future models.
Regarding the helmet, the one included in the kit is intended as a basic starter option, but your feedback about offering an upgraded version in the kit is very useful and something we will definitely review.

Best powerful little welder money can buy Promig 250-15-2
Fantastic ! I purchased this machine over the competitors because of duty cycle and price .I have tested this machine on thin sheet mild steel 1.0mm all the way upto 12mm mild steel rsj and it welds perfectly, 250 amps on 240v supply unbelievable and the size of it , it's tiny !
Massive improvement over the transformer welders I'm used to and you can carry with one hand easy.
5 year warranty and a fantastic service department that answers the phone in a couple of rings and then goes above and beyond to make sure your happy .If your looking for a new welder and unsure of Paton .Dont be ,there amazing ,5 stars all the way .

Had an issue with our welding machine
Had an issue with our welding machine, got in contact with Anton Stepakhno, He passed me on to their technical dept and I had a video call, the tech guys were great. Packed the machine up and they sent me a label. Got the machine back and all works perfect. Great customer service from start to finish and kept me in the loop. would recommend their services and welding machines.
