Defective earpiece after 10 months – statutory warranty rights ignored
I purchased the Nurosym device in August 2025 for approximately €700. After just 10 months, the earpiece stopped delivering any stimulation (confirmed by the official finger test). The device is fully charged and powers on normally.
Nurosym refused to replace the earpiece free of charge, citing a 6-month “consumable accessory” warranty. When I pointed out that under German and EU consumer law (§ 476 BGB), statutory warranty rights for a complete product cannot be reduced to 6 months for an essential component, they maintained their position and offered only free shipping on a paid replacement.
The earpiece is not an optional accessory – without it, the device is completely non-functional. This is a clear case of statutory warranty rights being denied. Disappointing from a company selling a medical device at this price point.
