Looks good, but completely unreliable
I bought a pair of Pajar Maddox winter boots expecting a premium, durable product for Canadian winters.
Unfortunately, the quality is nowhere near what you would expect at this price point.
After only about a month and a half of normal winter use, the boots started failing in multiple ways:
1. the zipper keeps opening while walking, making them unreliable and frustrating to wear
2. the inner stitching began coming apart, showing clear signs of poor construction
3. the rear pull tab (heel loop) tore off under normal use while putting the boot on, which is literally what it’s designed for
This is not heavy use. Just regular day-to-day winter wear, and trust me when I say I take care of my stuff. 50$ walmart winter boots lasted 11 years.... These? Not even 2 months!!!
For a boot marketed for harsh winter conditions, this level of durability is unacceptable. A product at this price should last multiple seasons, not weeks.
They look great and are comfortable, but that means nothing if they fall apart almost immediately.
I would not recommend this model to anyone expecting real quality or durability, or even this brand at this point!
I do not recommend Pajar
I do not recommend Pajar. My experience was that this is a high price brand accompanied by poor quality. I bought a Pajar parka for men in 2024 from either Nordstrom or Holts in Toronto, can't quite remember. Because of the parka's modest cold temperature rating, I wore it only a few times in 2025. In 2026 before I could wear it the zipper pull tab broke off and the slider became stuck half way up. I contacted Pajar by email asking either for a replacement or the cost of repair by a third party. They sent me their return policy and asked for a receipt, which pretty much means they are not going to stand behind their product.
Avoid this cheap brand at a premium price! Cheap products
I bought some Maddox boots in december 2025 for christmas.
After putting them on 5 times, FIVE TIMES!!!!!! While I was gently putting them on, not laced up, zipper down, I GENTLY held the rubber pull tab and it just completely broke for no reason.
My friend has the same pair and the same thing happened! Pajar have since then changed the design and material of the pull tab because it was a factory defect on these models.
I had to get a refund. I would not buy pajar again, they are now made in China with alot of factory issues.
Produit peu durable
I have gone throught TWO PAIRS of 400$…
I have gone throught TWO PAIRS of 400$ pair of boots each. Lasted BARELY TWO MONTHS EACH!!!! NOT EVEN TWO WHOLE MONTHS!
Pajar used to be made in Canada, and it used to be an amazing quality brand. Since the death of the owner the company was taken by his children, and they moved most of the line production from Canada to China which made the brand go from high quality and durability to low quality full of defect.
I have had Maddox boots which looks and feels amazing comfort wise, but both pair I had (400$ each) broke within one month and a half.
After this, I got the second pair sent in May because they were out of stock and Pajar decided "ohhh we have a 6 months warranty not our problem" while THEY delayed my shipping 6 month to deliver it mid summer so the warranty wears out before the winter even starts. Then I wore them like 20 times from december 10 to january 15, and this pair broke also.
Avoid Pajar at all cost! It is not Pajar anymore they are running on their old quality reputation to scam people. I have had pajar for 20 years, me and my whole family! Trust me when I'm telling you NONE OF US will ever buy pajar again!
I am extremely disappointed
I am extremely disappointed with both the craftsmanship and the limited warranty on my Pajar winter coat.
I purchased the Rimi Women’s Urban Parka in late October, 2024 for $600, hoping to enjoy at least 7-8 years of warmth and wear. Unfortunately, earlier this year, the zipper began malfunctioning, and it has now reached a point where it is completely unusable. I contacted Pajar for assistance, only to find out that they refuse to help with a zipper replacement, citing a one-year warranty.
Considering I live in Calgary, where the coat is only worn for about 4-5 months a year due to our chinooks, I have realistically experienced less than one year of actual usage before it became unusable.
I used to take pride in wearing a Canadian brand coat, but I am now regrettably reconsidering my support for this company. It is frustrating to see that they do not manufacture products that can withstand our Canadian winters.
To say I’m disappointed would be an understatement.
I purchased winter boots for my…
I purchased winter boots for my daughter last year, they were too big so she started wearing them this year in November, by January i had to purchase new boots… they were also soaked and the hole
Sole of one of the boots came off while she was at school. Horrible quality for 90$
Will never purchase again.

I spent $300.00 on boots that are supposed to be fully waterproof and rated for up to -25 Celsius. They are NEITHER. Feet are constantly wet and cold. Huge disappointment, and I’d never buy that brand again.

I would give this company 0 stars if I could - a overwhelmingly negative experience - I will never shop with them again. I ordered boots in January - they took forever to get here and run ridiculously small - I even sized up a whole size and I could barely get my foot in. Then even though their website says 'easy returns' it was not at all easy (and they charge all sorts of hidden fees). I ended up finally deciding on an exhange because of all the return/restocking fees. It took weeks for it to get back to them and without any notice that it was received. Then it took over a week for them to finally just give me a partial refund instead of sending me the boots I had ordered for an exchange because they don't put what you order for an exchange on hold and it was sold out by the time they processed my return. Customer service was horrible and unresponsive. Buyers beware!
good boots for $500..
good boots for $500... support canadian made... but they never respond to your messages! What garbage customer service.. who in 2026 charges you $9 return and handling fee FOR EACH item being returned in the SAME ORDER? Ordered 2 shoes and 2 of their insoles... they charged me 27$ for the return of 1 shoe and the 2 insoles... even though the insoles were returned inside of the shoe box all WITH ONE SHIPPING LABEL! pathetic! lose a customer for life over $18...
crap Pjar useless boots
First season with Pjar winter boots after 6 weeks of casual wear the boots are useless. the "leather" is cracked, opening the interior of the boot to wetness and cold. useless boots and i had to replace winter boots halfway through the season. definately not replaces with Pjar! customer service sucks, they dont care that the product is defective. Never buy Pjar!!
The size of winter boots with ice…
The size of winter boots with ice grippers are a half size (1/2) bigger. I always get size 7, which equals to Pajar winter boot size 6.5. I should point out that Pajar recommends to get a half size (1/2) bigger winter boots. So, maybe I have the perfect size? I will try shearing insoles.
The delivery was great and swift. I misunderstood “processing time” to include delivery. Maybe it could be worded more clearly.
Cheap, Awful Customer Service
I ordered a pair of boots in late November (slightly on sale) and the lining ripped rendering them unwearable in early January. I’ve tried to contact customer service six times now and I am no closer to having a resolution for my issue. Half of the time, the response is from an AI bot that is not helpful. And when they finally do respond to me, they don’t answer my questions. I would never order from Pajar again, nor would I ever purchase any of their products again. It’s been more than a month now in the middle of the Canadian winter that I’m waiting for a resolution on these boots that have a warranty, and should have not ripped in the first place.
Unanswered email, Stuck in AI bots and 1 month for refund
Received Pajar boots for christmas, unfortunately they turned out to be way too big and I tried to exchange them. Unfortunately all of the popular size seems to be unavailable for almost all products on their page so I requested a refund and shipped the boots back.
It's been over a month now and despite numerous emails it has been incredibly difficult to reach a human and not just Ai bot after AI bot. Even when requests were escalated to human customer service, our email were left unanswered for weeks.
After weeks of trying I finally received an email from a representative and was told the reimbursement would be done on the same day, yet we are still waiting over a week later.
We ended up finding a phone number online and we were finally able to speak so someone and the reimbursement was processed.
However this took over a month of back and forth and unanswered email and generic AI bots communication, this is Highly disapointing of a Montreal/canadian business.
Too expensive compared to its quality
Too expensive compared to its quality. Bought two of their boots none last more than 2 months. If you are looking for quality I don’t recommend Pajar boots.
No refund, no answer, no call, …
I purchased winter boots for my son, came with a broken zipper. Pajar confirmed they received the item on the 20 December 2025. As of today, 20 January 2026, I have no refund, no answer to my request and questions by email or phone.
Return sent for exchange, but exchange never received and can't find out status. No one is home at Pajar!
I sent a return back to Pajar, which they received over 9 days ago and I can't find any information about the item I wanted in exchange for the return. I've called several times as well as left several emails and haven't heard a word.
Now I understand why there's a message on their web site that asks people to be respectful when dealing with a representative, although I haven't been able to speak with anyone or email with anyone except an AI bot.
I will never order from them again and will call my cc company to cancel the transaction if I don't hear back from them today.
2 stars
2 stars. One for each season. Pajar Mirko snow boots sole cracked at spot where grippers join after two seasons of normal city wear. Cracks appeared and water seeped into the inside soles. (There was obviously no incentive to write this review). Btw, Pajar only garantees the boots for 6 months. Paid almost 300$. Very disappointed.
Super quality boots
Super quality boots. Best ever for grip on ice. I ordered a size larger than usual but these are a good fit. And I like supporting Cdn companies!
