OYO NO REFUND POLICY
In my job im in different locations around the UK, thought i would try OYO, last night at 23:00 i spoke to the reservation team who were excellent , i booked 1 night at Swann Heathrow and 2 nights at Clacton Pier. Today I got in to work at 9am and found that my job in Heathrow cancelled and i now need an extra night at Clacton pier instead, called OYO reservations who said no problem i can cancel Swann and get refund and book clacton pier tonight. She transferred my call to cancellation Customer experience team and had Kushboo deal with cancellation and refund, she said that the OYO policy is no refund after 9am , she said i should have read the policy but i informed her that it was the reservation team that took my booking and they never mentioned this policy? She refused to refund so that payment is wasted. She even had a supervisor confirm no refund he or she refused to provide their name, whilst it is normal to get a supervisor or manager name in UK , in India they wont give name, i have now booked another hotel in clacton for tonight. NOT THRU OYO!! And i wont be booking 5 nights at Clacton Pier next week .

I booked the room on line with Booking.com. Shortly after I tried to cancel my reservation. I could not get internet service due to driving in OK. I stopped at the Lonestar Inn and asked ifI could cancel. The woman working the front desk said she would cancel for me. I have been charged for the room even though I cancelled within a very short period of time. If I had known I was going to pay for the room, I would have stayed at the property. I will never stay at an OYO property again.

Made a reservation at Oyo Greenery in Pattaya, Thailand. Arrived at hotel and was told there is no record of the reservation. Staff here were very unhelpful and rude.
Oyo customer service have been of no help whatsoever and just told me to call Oyo Thailand but the number is not recognised. No other help has been offered.

I booked "Townhouse 850 THE REDFOX HOTELS" thru OYO for 2 guests in Chennai but when reached hotel it was changed to 1 guest. OYO said that its changed by Hotel management, and Hotel management said they can't change. Finally OYO verified that the hotel has booked for 2 guests only. Hotel management asked for additional amount and OYO asked to pay and enter into room because it was late night around @10PM and OYO representative asked for all proofs (Email confirmation where its mentioned 2 guests and PhonePe transaction screen print) which I sent to OYO. I received a mail from OYO, saying that they reimburse the additional amount paid in hotel in 7-14 days. Finally no response from OYO. I tried to reach multiple times but no response from customer support.
Later I understood, it seems this is a kind of cheating by OYO as well by aligning with Hotel management. So both are cheaters.
From today I am not going to book the hotel thru OYO. Worst experience with OYO.
My advice to readers who wants to book this hotel : "Townhouse 850 THE REDFOX HOTELS" ... Please DO NOT book, they are cheaters. You can review the feedback about this hotel in google. Don't believe OYO feedback.... Its fake. This hotel is not even worthy of 1 star... Worst hotel management and rooms.

We arrived and was devastated there was no onsite parking as advertised! The court yards was not as described in the picture, it was filthy! The room was supposed to be deluxe but was a family room with two of the beds pushed together to make a double bed, the chair in the room was cracked leather, the food was frozen not fresh! I paid £430 each for all of the above! I complained to Expedia.co.uk and resolver however due to Oyo hotel not replying to my emails I had to accept £75 refund from Expedia.co.uk. avoid this place, even the locals were shocked at 1. How much it cost 2. The star rating 3. And weren't surprised at the food, and accommodation!

This place is the worst place I have ever stayed in, well not exactly as we didnt stay there at all as it was that bad.
Allocated room 14, which was up in the attic, 50 stairs to climb. Room was ok at first glance but we were there for a hospital appointment the following day and after travelling from Newcastle Upon Tyne we were in dire need of a shower. The shower bracket was broken meaning the shower would have to be held above by hand and now on checking reviews this has been like this for a number of months. Secondly, the water pressure was not enough to shower, the water was almost a trickle and it was all hot, no cold available, so it was boil alive or do without. I rang the help number and we were then allocated room 3 on the ground floor. This room was disgusting. Dirty, and unsecure bathroom window, stains on the bathroom floor which were god knows what, stunk of dampness and had midgey like flies all over the place. I rang the help number again and told them that it was disgusting and that we couldn't possibly stay there and that I wanted to pursue a refund and that we had booked an alternative at a further cost of £90 per night. Another couple of points, the front door was insecure, the security key pad was no good as the door did not close properly anyway and there was a lot of undesirables hanging about on the street outside and all the inner doors in the property were bob standard internal doors. I have asked for a full refund from Hotels.com Do not think this will be forthcoming as the reply I had from them is as follows-

I went to mussoorie and was wandering around for the hotel. And I found a good hotel on the OYO app and booked the room within 2 mins. The check-in was hassle free and the staff was co-operative. So overall it was a decent stay.

I was recently travelling to a different city. Due to some reason I reached late. Only option that came to my mind was OYO and definitely it gave one of the best services. As a female traveller I always have doubts but OYO gave the best services possible and hassle free service. The hygiene factor and the security was amazing.

OMG what a horrible place !!! I wish we could have negative stars. What a horrbile experience. Will NEVER EVER stay at any Oyohotel again !!! I had reserved and paid for a room at the Oyohotel on Garnnet Rd in Tulsa, OK.
This hotel was reserved through ReservationDesk, based on their review and recommendations NEVER will use them or stay at Oyohotel.
My room was reserved and paid for on a credit card (Thank God). I was promised this was an excellent hotel in a beautiful neighborhood with a pool, hot tub, airport shuttle and free full breakfat....don't know about the breakfast because we were NOT ALLOWED to stay !!!. I booked the room in my son's name for my son. I paid for the room in advance. When my son got there he discovered there was NO airport transportation. He got to the hotel by Taxi and was denied admission....I mean DENIED ADMISSION !!! Although he had 2 government issued picutre IDs and the computer printout of the reservation and the reservation print out on his smart phone they refused to let him have the room !!!! They said he may have the same last name but that was no proof he was my son !! They refused to call me for verification. They refused to allow him to stay in the lobby and call me, the desk staff ORDERED him outside to make him call (it was above 93 degrees) and then when he called me at work they refused to talk to me.
I tried calling they would not answer the phone at the hotel. I called the corporate office and I am not kidding was put on hold by a female "customer service specialist" ......I guess I am still on hold because she never came back. I called back on a different phone and was answered by a male "customer specialist" by the name of Tamal I am still on hold with him (19 hours later). I called on a 3rd phone and spoke with another customer specialist and put on hold a 3rd time. I called back on a 4th phone demanding to speak to a supervisor but all the superisors were to busy to speak with me but they would be glad to put me on hold.
My brother had gone the night before to bring my son his new car; had he been able to get hold of me before my son got on the plance all of this would have been avoided....the "beautiful hotel" with all of the amenities was actually an old old "ratty looking building in a sketchy part of town" with two cars with broken out windows and a truck at the back of the building had had it's catalytic converter cut off with parts still scattered around the parking lot.
Thank God for Wyndam. We were able to get a great hotel with true customer service from the OYO parking lot.

No cleaning, no new towels etc.
We stayed 5 nights at the OYO Sino Hotel in Shepherd's Bush, London in July 2022.
During our stay the room was not cleaned once! We only got new towels and toilet paper when on day 3 I coincidentally met a staff member, and I even had to fetch toilet paper myself a few days later.
Our rubbish was not picked up at all, so it piled up in our room!
We were three guests, but lived in a room for two meaning that it was very cramped.
One morning at 4.45 I was woken up by two staff members who chatted loudly in the back yard. Moreover, they apparently smoke weed which I easily could smell through the open window that had to be open because of the heat.
Free Cancellation policy ignored and full amount charged
I booked the OYO Plymouth Central through the Booking.Com website for last Thursday.
The cancellation policy at the time of booking stated that the room could be cancelled, free of charge, before 14:00 on the day of arrival. This is common on Booking.com, but not universal, and the policy is set by the hotel not the website.
I cancelled on the Thursday morning at 07:47,and received the cancellation email, confirming that it would be free, immediately.
Later that day, I was charged the full amount, and OYO Customer Services have treated me with derision on the phone (How could we have charged you when your agreement is with Booking.com? - despite my bank statement clearly saying OYO on the payment), contempt and have point blank refused to refund the charge even in the face of the emails confirming it should have been free at the time of cancellation.
When it comes to "Trust": I wouldn't trust this company as far as I could throw their Customer Service rep ... and as angry as I am I'd like to try!

My heart is a little "HEAVY" as I write this review. It hits VERY close to home, because as a whole, I don't feel my rating necessarily an accurate rating as before today, & before my last experience, approximately 2 weeks ago with the OyoHotel location: 1002 Columbus Pkwy, Opelika, AL. 36801. My fiance & I, were first introduced to this brand & chain of hotels, back in December of 2021 @ 7517 Tara Blvd, Jonesboro, GA 30236, which was a very nice stay! I loved the architecture, the look and the feel of the very small, clean, decadent & quaint motel, and the staff, with exception to the rude woman that worked front desk during the day, following the very nice & relaxed front deskman for the night. We had a very comfortable 4day stay at the hotel. I didn't know it then, but we would spend several months living mostly in hotels and motels. We stayed in several of their locations from GA to AL, & all of them were the same caliber of service, feel, decor, etc. Which as a motel by comparison of other motels, I consider them top tier, because of the very affordable pricing, that compliments, quality and service (mostly). I've noticed that between American brand motel management and those managed by Oyo Motel mgmt, EVERYTHING OYO by comparison is better. Note, I'm not speaking to other Motels/Hotels, managed outside of OYO. I have gone to many of those as well and this review is specifically about OYO. Even when you call reservation, they go out of their way to accommodate you in pricing and service. So I was very surprised and displeased with OYO hotels, & for now am boycotting this brand due to an unpleasant situation involving, both the Property Manager and his newly hired "African American" manager, who treated first my fiance who was dealing with the unfortunate situation with such disdain. Because I was not present at the time of the incident, which was involving some work he found out they were in need of when we checked in for a 3day stay. He'd volunteered on our removing several items from the property at a specific amount, the agreement also including several additional nights at the establishment. However due to some unforeseen events, that needed a little longer finessing & logistical preparation on MY behalf, in the span of 24hours, they soon mistrusted our ability to come through with what we stated and as our stay had finally come to a close, while I was finally getting my AL State Driver's License, the TAG to our 2012 Jeep Liberty, among several other errands, that including making the jeep payment as well as reserving yet another U-haul truck, given the previous state appts were taking longer than anticipated, so the the 1st U-haul truck was cancelled by the vendor themselves. I had just gotten inside the Driver Services building when my fiance texts me to say that he needs me to come & get him because he has been kicked out the room. I usually leave my bank card with him & he does me as well when either one of us has things to do, none of which requires the use of funds, but as I'd left the hotel at 6:00am because of all the things I'd planned without mentioning to my fiance, thinking I'd be back in time, which I wasn't. Because of the staff's impatience and perception, & the fact that I was not on site to neither pay for the days, stay, which I had, nor corroborate anything that I had him state to them in regards to my whereabouts. Even the reservations forwarded to them, coupled with the pictures I sent of the vehicle registration & AL State license paper receipt & 30day permit, all being date/time stamped wasn't enough to convince them of the truth of my words. So as I arrived, an hour later after securing my License, I find my beloved on the side of the parking lot with all our things, looking HOT & angry. I thought I'd be able to pacify the situation, arriving with all the documentation, however neither the hotel manager, nor the property manager were on site, and out things were locked inside the lobby, stated my fiance & he didn't know when they were returning, apparently going to lunch. As my fiance had to go work, & was already late, I decided to take him & return alone so I could speak with them under a less stressful environment, however, I was not to get the chance because Thomas, the newly hired manager called to inquire as the whereabout of my fiance & as I began to relate to him what I'd stepped in on, he accused me of NOT being me because my voice & that of my fiance's are indistinguishable, which I understood, but thought was ridiculous! I felt disrespected on both our behalves and was at that point not only ANGRY, but disappointment and DONE. THAT experience was harrowing enough by itself for me to take 2 stars of what I would have given a 5 based on their category of motel/hotel. I hope to one day be able to go back, but right now, I'm still harboring bad feelings!

This is one of the worse hotels I’ve ever been too. The room smelt like someone just smoked 2 blunts minutes before us walking in. I was legit scared to shower in their tub so I had to be a towel to stand in so I could shower! I do NOT recommend this hotel. I wouldn’t stay there if it were free!

Please don’t ever book a room at Oyo Hotel in Palmdale CA, unless you enjoy drug traffic, the smell of weed, filthy rooms with cigarette burns and heavy smell (non smoking room), loud music coming from cars parked in the parking lot at all hours, and someone banging on your door at 2am. The stairs leading to the upper rooms are unsafe. The blinds were broken, and the walls were gross. Cigarette burns on the bathtub and sink, something smeared on the refrigerator that I refused to touch. I did not feel safe, and didn’t feel my belongings were safe either.
Unfortunately, we stayed one night because we had been driving for 3 days - didn’t end up sleeping. We left ASAP for a better hotel. This is not a place for any family. DO NOT bring children here.
The management doesn’t care who they rent to, and do nothing to curb the unsatisfactory activity that goes on there. I’m quite certain that the questionable people that seem to gravitate to this hotel are people that live here. This place should be shut down - not only for the numerous health code violations, but to clean up the caliber of management running the place. It truly gives Oyo Hotels a serious black eye.
I can honestly say that I will NEVER stay at an Oyo Hotel again - and absolutely never in Palmdale, due to this experience.
Low-cost Option that we will use again
We have stayed at 3 OYO properties in the last few days. It would have been 4 but that one canceled on us citing too low of a rate... another story. But we have found the OYO brand to be very basic, but affordable and consistent. The WIFI in all hotels was strong enough for me to work online in live classes. 2/3 had a pool as well. We never paid more than $20 USD per night. The APP is useful and convenient.

I was left outside with my 16 year old daughter,managed to contact owner through the downstairs bar (they were helpful and rang him) he apologised but did nothing. Took my money out 2 days before travel and a text welcoming me the next day!! I still haven’t had my money and booking. Com can’t get hold of the owner either! Beware! It is still available to book!!!😱🤯
