My visit to see Dr Hacking at the Oxford Hormone Clinic has been 100% satisfactory. We started off with a very friendly and personable meeting followed by a brilliant referral. Everything went well and now I am super-excited to finally be on the right path.

This was pretty clearly just a money making scheme. You pay your fee have a chat with a woman who is a Dr and you get what is obviously standard advice. I thought they would actually try to understand what was the best HRT for me but they just said carry on with what your GP has prescribed but you might want to up the dose. Testosterone was prescribed (which appears to be a standard response) for which a blood test is needed - I'm sure she said that she would send a letter saying I needed the blood test. When it came to it - I have to speak to my GP to arrange the blood test - since getting to see my GP is part of the problem it doesn't help to be told in order to get the medication I have to pay for (not on the NHS), I have to arrange a blood test through the NHS myself or pay another fee to have them do it. So despite paying for the medication I can't take it because I can't arrange the blood test. I wouldn't bother with this - just arrange an appointment with your GP and talk it through with them - if anything I felt more like part of sausage machine and received less individual attention with this clinic than I did with my GP. You can't interact with them at all everything is done through a portal where they post letters but you have no means of talking to them. There is no sense that this is in any way personal to me or a service.

Dr Melanie Hacking was outstanding - Kind, Considerate, Caring, listened carefully to all my issues surrounding Menopause and is extremely knowledgeable. The support i have received following the initial appointment has also been excellent.

Really great response. It was easy to book and quickly able to get an appointment. Dr Hooper was fantastic, she really listened to me and took time to understand what I needed regarding my menopause symptoms. She gave clear advice and guidance and followed up my additional queries quickly and with a real kindness and empathy. I found the whole experience so helpful and ended a year of feeling frustrated with just being given a prescription which did not address the real problem. I now have a tailored prescription and feel I am on the path to regaining my old self.

The professional and gentle approach of the doctor made me feel any question was relevant. At no point did I feel rushed or uncomfortable. I felt I could have told her anything and not felt judged or made to feel foolish. I had been hesitant to attend such a clinic at my age but quickly realised that it was still appropriate to seek medical assistance and am pleased that I did.

Hi! My video appointment with Dr Melanie Hacking was a joy. Hugely knowledgeable and reassuring getting right to the crux of the matter very quickly. She made me feel very looked after and in 'safe hands'. I also received super speedy replies to a couple of queries I had via email and she was just as reassuring.

Booked myself, a telephone consultation with one of the doctors to discuss my existing HRT and hormonal issues. When I was prescribed HRT a couple of years ago, nothing was explained to me and I was frustrated by the fact that I was still having some symptoms and wanted to get my prescription adjusted if necessary. I had an hour-long conversation with one of the doctors and she answered all my questions and hopefully going forward will resolve any issues that I am experiencing.

Like many women I have been suffering and it has finally been amazing talking to someone who was kind and caring and able to offer much needed professional HRT advice. Dr Hacking was able to put my mind at rest and answer all my burning questions. It is nice to be put at ease and not feel like your going mad!
The documented recommendation and prescription arrived quickly so I could start the process immediately. A month and a half down the road and I am feeling so much more human and emotionally stable. I thoroughly recommend the Oxford Hormone Clinic.

Dr Susanne Hooper was fantastic. Being able to talk to someone knowledgeable who really listened and was able to offer the help I needed (that my GP wouldn’t) was such an uplifting relief. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because it was very expensive. I had held off going for about 4 years because of the cost and it saddens me that this is unaffordable for so many women.

Doctors are excellent and the service is amazing ( speed of making and arranging appointments) would highly recommend.
