Chaperone Experience
As a chaperone, I truly enjoyed the experience. The staff were excellent — very welcoming, kind, and helpful throughout. A special thanks to Dan and Georgina, who provided outstanding support with my students and were always available to assist with anything that came up.

The actual daily activity schedule

What kind of clothing to pack

Laundry arrangements

Places nearby where students can buy food or essentials

At The U for You, we provided a general meeting for families, but due to limited detailed information, we could only share an overview.

Photos and Graduation Access:
Some parents suggested the possibility of having a photographer not only at the graduation but also during other key activities throughout the programme. They would like access to an online platform where they could view and purchase these photos.

Regarding graduations, as a chaperone, some parents expected me to attend their child’s ceremony. While it’s not possible to attend all at the same time, it would be helpful to have a pre-assigned space or seat for chaperones at the graduations.

One of my students, along with classmates, submitted a formal request to change their teacher (specifically Tina Holdbrook-Smith). As far as I know, the change was not implemented. A parent followed up persistently by email regarding the matter.

Academic Feedback:
According to the students, they felt that the teacher was learning the material along with them, and they would have preferred someone with more expertise on the subject.

At The U for You, we can help manage expectations by clearly informing parents ahead of time that this is a summer programme, not an accredited academic course. We can explain that while students engage with specific topics, the focus is on gaining international experience, cultural exposure, and inspiration — rather than academic specialization or certification.

College Management:
I had a group of four 17-year-old students staying at Keble College who were not initially allowed to leave the premises during their free time. We had to request permission for them to go out, even though students at Queen’s and Balliol did not have this issue.
It would be ideal to have uniform rules across colleges and ensure staff are informed about students' permissions to leave during free time (up to curfew).

Overall Experience: 10/10
The experience was incredible for my students — they returned home happy, inspired, and full of great memories. They made friends from all over the world and loved immersing themselves not only in British culture, but also in the cultures of their international classmates.

They consistently spoke very highly of the kindness and helpfulness of the campus staff. Among the highlights they mentioned were the inspiring Brian Cox talk, the beauty of Oxford, and the opportunity to explore London. It was truly a meaningful and unforgettable experience for all of them.

As an agency, I feel very confident continuing to offer Oxford Royale to our families. It is an excellent programme with great value, and we would love to have Oxford Royale represented at our fair in September 2025. This will be a fantastic opportunity to keep recruiting students for future summer camps and to strengthen our collaboration.

Very good company with fantastic courses across the world. I learned a lot during the two-week course at Yale. I met plenty of great people, and I felt like a Yale University student for this time. I loved it!

I went a year ago or so now, but it remains one of the most fond memories i have. you meet so many amazing people and learn so much and discover cool stuff and get freedoms, its amazing! 2/10 food though, its absolutely horrible and we were forced to buy our own food because of how bad the cafeteria was haha. but amazing freindships with people across the world and ive reccomended many people

Amazing experience!

Oxford Royale provides an amazing experience for children/students. In addition the program and organization are perfect ,every student has a chance to meet studens from all around the world and make new friends, as well the developing process of the learning and disciplne of every student is a must in this program. We are pleasently amased and we are making sure to come again this year.

The Oxford Royale Academy experience was, in its entirety, phenomenal. The instructors were always eager to help with all kinds of problems. The numerous amount of activities provided allowed the students to interact and connect with one another. The classes were challenging and informative, allowing the students to gain further insight and knowledge on the chosen topic.

The experience we had as a family from our daughter's participation in the Oxford Royal summer program was unique. Initially, we as parents felt safe and confident from the beginning because the people of the program explained every question we had, informed us of every detail in a timely manner, they were very kind, helpful and organized. From our daughter's side, her participation in the program was constructive as it ultimately turned out that what she wanted to study was as she imagined and confirmed her initial thought, because the courses, the environment and the teachers were the best she had imagined for her academic future. Finally, our daughter met children from all over the world, with common goals and dreams and made friendships that still last after about a year! Thank you very much Oxford Royal

My children had the best experience ever at Oxford Royal! From the moment they arrived, they were welcomed into a warm and inspiring environment. The classes were engaging, the teachers were excellent, and the activities were both fun and educational. They made new friends from around the world, gained confidence, and came back full of amazing stories and memories. It was truly a life-changing experience that they will cherish forever.
