Scammed on fuel. Booked a car "full/full" on fuel. Picked it up late at night, contract confirmed car tank was 8/8.ie full. Did not notice until next day it was half full. I filled it up on return, 27 litres having done just 69 kilometres. They told me I was "told on pick up to return it with the same fuel level" A lie. I was not. Scammed out of 45 euros. This was through their asssosciate company Autosmenorca.

Bei CHECK24 gebucht und den Gesamtbetrag beglichen. Bei Abholung musste ich weitere 30€ - Bearbeitungsgebühr!!! - begleichen. Wurde mir vorab nicht mitgeteilt. Leider habe ich mein Portemonnaie nach Abgabe im Auto zurück gelassen und wollte es im Nachhinein abholen. Ist natürlich mein Fehler, aber wirklich schade, dass mir mitgeteilt wurde, es wäre nicht aufzufinden. Ich bin mir sicher,es lag auf der Rückbank.

Los coches están en buen estado, es lo único que hay positivo del servicio. Todo tiene costes adicionales, al llegar te exigen pagar un seguro a todo riesgo que supone el (70%) de lo que has pagado previamente, no te estipulan bajo ningún contrato cuánto supone al día el Seguro a todo riesgo. Por supuesto, si hay alguna avería por la meteorología y has contraído un seguro a terceros, eres el responsable y tendrás que pagar por todo ello. Colaboran con otras empresas que te cobran por anticipado el seguro y después si contratas otro diferente, te quedas sin el dinero aportado al principio porque ellos no se hacen responsables del reembolso. La otra empresa, no coge las llamadas y tampoco se hace responsable una vez has dejado el coche y te han facilitado un teléfono en la oficina que atienden… Adicionalmente a tu llegada para recoger el vehículo, tienen un recargo de 100 por el depósito del coche, su gancho del “lleno-lleno” con muchas mentiras. Tengan cuidado con esta empresa por qué se lava las manos en todos los aspectos, dinero que das, dinero que no vuelve a tu cuenta….
¡Servicio más que nefasto y un robo en mayúsculas!

Poor service. I had two trolley bags and the guy that drove us back to the airport told me it was not his job to help with the luggage. On arrival he rudely rushed us off the van banging the door and saying he ‘had more customers’ when we knew we were the last except for another couple that has issues with a scratch. Shame as he ruined what had been a positive experience thus far.

Be Careful - 120 euro deposit for fuel and if you don't pay for the extra insurance you have to pay a deposit by credit card for the insurance excess which was 800 euros in our case - other hire companies make this quite clear but Owners Club have buried that information deep in their Conditions so that you could very easily miss it and this condition is not stated at all on the confirmation email you get - their marketing is VERY misleading - we cancelled the car hire, losing one day's rental and waiting up to 10 days for the balance refund - which ate into out holiday money

We have hired cars over the years but this was first time with Owners Cars. Got an upgrade to a Toyota Yaris Hybrid automatic on arrival which was very good. Car unfortunately developed a fault when out one day
( discovered problem when about to drive back to our resort). Rang office and staff member was with us with a replacement vehicle ( further upgrade to Seat Arona FR automatic) within 30 mins. Excellent service. Staff pleasant cheerful and courteous. All cars in excellent condition and spotlessly clean). Definitely we will use them again- Excellent!

Brilliant fault free-service. Friendly staff, quick transfers. Good prices (insurance waiver included). No hustle pick up and even speedier return. We use every year.

Excellent value for money hire car service at Menorca airport. Have used Ownerscars twice yearly for the last 5 years. have not experienced any of the problems expressed in other reviews. Yes, you do get transferred by shuttle from airport car park to their offices a few minutes away. Have only had to wait less than 10 mins for the service. Staff always helpful and polite. Conditions of service and expectations are explained fully on their website when making the booking. The car we were offered was an upgrade on what we ordered, which is pleasant and not unusual. I would certainly use Ownerscars again and plan to do so.

Ein sehr zu empfehlendes Mietwagenunternehmen. Die Vermietung beginnt mit einer sehr freundlichen Dame des Shuttleservice. Vor Ort ebenfalls freundliches Personal. Überrascht war ich, dass ich (statt des in Aussicht gestellten Toxota Aygo oder ähnlich) einen komfortablen Hyundai i20 erhielt mit einer Austattung, die keine Wünsche übrig gelassen hat. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Owners-Car.

Car received was filthy and had not been cleaned inside or outside during covid peak. Car also did not have a full tank of fuel (roughly 3/4). Upon returning car, they found a scratch on 2 doors (not done by us) and we were charged €350 to "repair". We were told that it had not been the first car that week that had come back with scratches so is a possible scam by the company itself or external party. Either way, not a pleasant end to our vacation through no fault of our own.

This company (in Menorca) is incredibly slow and badly organised. We waited an hour just to be picked up from the airport to go to their offices - a journey which should only take five minutes! Instead, there was chaos at the airport pick up, with multiple queues in different places and no-one in charge of what was going on. Everyone was confused. The queue for the "premier" service, where you don't need to go to their office because they drive your car to meet you at the airport, was just as bad. When we arrived at the office we still had another wait... In total, this company wasted approximately two hours of our time. Time that we could have spent enjoying our holiday. Please don't waste your time with this Owners Car.

Horrible. Firstly no signs or information when you exit the airport. Spent 30 minutes trying to find their obscure shuttle bus. When we got there, told we can’t pay the deposit with American Express or debit so ended up being forced to pay £100 for insurance. Lesson learnt, won’t use a cheap company again. Will also watch out for the fuel deposit as per other reviews.

Following on from review about fuel - exactly same thing happened to us 5/8/19.
Didn’t use car much but did return full. Couldn’t physically get more fuel into car - overpaid at pre pay filling station and had to go back in get refund.
Fuel gauge was 100% full. Only a couple of minutes from hire return office.
Told everything was fine and I would get refund to my card within 24/48 hours.
Refund for fuel was minus just over €15.00.
The car was full ! I’m not bothered about the money BUT I am bothered about being ripped off !
Pink return slip which was given to me was a very faint duplicate and wasn’t clear, had a few numbers on it but could hardly make out what they were. since returning I’ve examined the form again- there’s a bit with 718 in a box ( this was actually 7/8 ) that’s what the guy wrote down for fuel. He got me to sign form and omitted to tell me that in his judgement fuel wasn’t full. However it was 100 % full! I’m not looking to cause trouble for this company but there is something very unpleasant going on.
I should have taken a photo of the dashboard - the fuel gauge was showing a tiny bit over 8/8. Initially paid €76.20
Refund to card was €61.00 - I’m no maths teacher but €15.00 isn’t close to an eighth of €76.20. Will be interesting to see how many reviews mention a similar issue.
Sent 4 messages to company but no reply.

Would of given a 4star but paid £62+ fuel deposit and I have received only half of it back despite returning the car with a full tank. I have contacted the company but I am still waiting for their reply, let alone getting the full deposit back. The car itself was beautiful, though would have been really useful to have been shown around it particularly as it was late at night when we arrived to pick it up. Sorry Owners cars I am unable to recommend you due to the hassle of getting my money back.update: when I dropped off the car the owners car representative said everything was fine. He then gave me a receipt which apparently, according to O.C showed I returned the car 5:8. Beware of this scam. If you do use this firm then you really do need to take pictures etc and take time to check your receipt before leaving the premises. Will never use them or DoYouSpain again. Disgusting behaviour all for the sum of £30+ gain

Based on my personal experience I can highly recommend Owner's Cars. I rented a car with them in May 2019. On the first night someone scratched rear bumper of the car, pretty heavily, but only the bumper. On return they ignored the scratches and everything went just fine. Very nice guys.

El precio (incluido el seguro a todo riesgo y entrega en el aeropuerto de Mahón) muy bien. El coche no estaba todo lo limpio que debería y apestaba a ambientador. Con los días, dejó de parecer un baño portátil. El resto muy bien.

Very pleased with Owners Cars at Mahon Airport. Shuttle van ready outside the terminal, no waiting at all at the desk and nice clean car ready for us (with free useful beach parasol too!). Returning process also very smooth and helpful and friendly staff. Perfecto!!

Das Auto war ok und genau das gebuchte. Preis war sehr gut. Ca. 90 € für sieben Tage auf Menorca ohne Kilometerbeschränkung.
Kleiner Nachteil (aber das wurde uns vorher gesagt): Man muss von Flughafen mit einem Shuttlebus zur Mietwagenstation fahren.
Großes Minus: An der Station mussten wir eine Nummer ziehen und warten, bis wir aufgerufen wurden. Das hat dann MEHR ALS 1,5 STUNDEN gedauert, obwohl nicht übermäßig viele Kunden gewartet haben. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr desinteressiert und langsam. Obwohl genügend Personal da war, wurden nur zwei Schalter besetzt.
Weiterer Minuspunkt: auf dem Voucher wurde die Abgabeadresse mit dem Meetingpoint am Flughafen verwechselt (könnte aber auch an Rentalcars liegen, über die wir gebucht hatten). Und auch Google hat die richtige Adresse nicht gekannt. Also war auch der Weg zur Abgabe sehr nervig.
Die Abgabe selber war dann unkompliziert und zügig.
Auch noch daneben: Die Kaution iHv 850€ wurde nicht nur geblockt, sondern abgebucht.

Insgesamt also owners cars Menorca besser meiden!

Cannot recommend - poor customer service. Car hire in Menorca. Treated with total disinterest at the desk - as if customers are a nuisance. Didn't show us the car at all, and it proved to have smaller luggage capacity than we paid for.

Anyone thinking of travelling to Cala Galdana - Minorca and needing a rental vehicle, then give OwnersCars a visit.
Very good service at the best rates on the island. We had a brand new Opel Mokka for 4 days for 145€ with full comprehensive insurance covering everything, which had we rented through Europcar would of cost us 550€.
Jordi, who runs the office on his own is extremely helpful and doesn't push to give unnecessary extras. By the way they do a fair 'Full to Full' fuel policy.
