OVH Deutschland existiert nicht mehr.

OVH ist per mail nicht mehr erreichbar.
Es gibt nur noch telefonischen Support in englischer Sprache.
Ich habe ein verfügbares Produkt bestellt und auch sofort bezahlt aber keine Bestätigung per mail erhalten.
Dann heisst es, es dauert noch ca. einen Monat.
Mit viel hin und her wurde der Auftrag storniert.
Doch mein Geld werde ich nicht wieder bekommen.
Auf meine Frage ob die deutsche Firma noch existiert wurde mir bestätigt das sie nicht mehr existiert.

Wrongfully terminated by their legal department, being ignored

Ordered a VPS as a load balancer. Was working perfectly for a week. Earlier had a support request and it was very fast. Until on 20th Nov 2025 my VPS got terminated due to "breach of contract". As logs and explanation they said that I was [allegedly] DDoSing an IP address. Can you guess which IP address I "DDoSed"? MY OWN! The IP address of a host that I OWN AND MANAGE. I have an HTTP endpoint on that host which resolves back to my OVH account, yet no response and no reaction. Support says "we can't do anything, decisions by legal department are irrevocable". I wrote a letter to their legal department, being ignored for 3 days (that would be okay for some inquiry, but that's downtime, not just some problem). Their super fast support disappeared AS SOON as I asked them to ping legal department so they can get back to my case faster, as it's an urgent matter.

Please, don't do business and don't trust this company. They tell that they protect you but then their automatic system falsely decides that you're violating something and you're done.

UPDATE: 5 days later, they still ignore me everywhere. The support team here, on TrustPilot asked me for details and VANIHSED as well as soon as I gave my account ID and NIC handle. Just no response at all. Reddit gave same result. Replied to my post within a few hours, gave them my NIC handle, account ID and name in PMs, they first got the wrong VPS and said that the matter was resolved. As soon as I corrected that they had the wrong VPS and pointed them (again) to the terminated VPS, they ghosted me. Unbelievable

I confirm the information you received via the open support tickets. When a VPS is in its first month of activation, if the anti-hacking system is triggered three times due to detected illegitimate traffic, this results in a breach of contract.

During the first anti-hacking activation, if you considered the traffic detected by the anti-hacking system to be legitimate, you could contact us so we could perform an analysis and adjust the anti-hacking detection thresholds, for example.

If you subscribe to a new VPS, we could do this, and a refund for the first VPS with a breach of contract would be possible.

To be honest

To be honest, I'm really annoyed with OVH/customer service. Every request/action takes days, and often the responses from customer service are useless because they are not helpful and often require multiple follow-up questions.

I currently have the following problem: I rented a server in Germany at the Limburg data center from OVH Global via OVH Netherlands Amsterdam and a server in France at the Roubaix data center, where I rented both servers. I connected them with a VRACK so that both can communicate via a private network. At the time, I didn't realize that if I rented an additional server in the US, I wouldn't be able to integrate it into the existing VRACK because the OVH website advertises that the VRACK service can communicate globally and across data center and country borders, but it didn't specify that this is only possible if all servers are booked via OVH US LLC , i.e., the American OVH branch. So I booked my storage server with OVH Netherlands in Limburg with a contract term and a discount.
Unfortunately, I now have to cancel all servers at OVH Global Netherlands with special termination and then rebook all servers at OVH US LLC. Unfortunately, OVH Global customer service is either incompetent or does not understand what I want from them. I opened a ticket and requested a special cancellation because it is not possible to connect the German server to the French and US servers with the VRACK service without OVH Cloud Connect, and that is simply too expensive just to replace the free VRACK service.

I'm just annoyed that I'm forced to cancel all servers because of the poor advertising/information about the OVH VRACK service on the OVH website. If OVH had clearly and openly stated on the website that the VRACK service/ adding US servers is not possible unless all servers are booked through OVH US LLC, I would have booked all servers directly through the US branch and I would not now have the hassle with support and would not have to argue about a special termination. I also do not understand why support does not simply approve the special termination, since I am remaining loyal to the company and am simply rebooking with the other branch and not switch to the competition.

These errors, the effort and annoyance could have been avoided with decent and accurate information. I now have to have everything sorted out before November 15, 2025, and rebook all servers so that I can copy all data from the old storage server to the new one without data loss and without having to pay for the old storage server for another month and can book the new one directly.

I am still hoping to find a solution so that I can rebook my server with all discounts at OVH US LLC.

This concerns the OVH account sf861747-ovh and ticket CS12635115.

Addendum: The ticket has been open since November 1, 2025. Today is already November 13, 2025, and unfortunately there has been no clarification to date, even though it escalated days ago, according to the ticket handler.
The day after tomorrow, on November 15, 2025, the server must be paid for again for another month, and if the server is deactivated because no new payment is made, I will not be able to transfer my data because it takes up to 72 hours for the new server to be provided, plus 2-5 days for data transfer.

I hope OVH finally gets everything sorted out and can credit me a few days for the server as a gesture of goodwill so that it runs longer than November 15, 2025, and I can transfer the data after receiving the new server.

Deutlich besser geworden

Seit meiner letzten Bewertung hat sich bei OVH einiges getan, und ich habe dem Anbieter erneut eine Chance gegeben.

Aufgrund einiger Komplikationen mit einem anderen Anbieter haben wir nach einem neuen, kostengünstigen Hosting-Provider gesucht, der BYOIP unterstützt. Dabei konnten wir unsere IPv4-Adressen wirklich schnell importieren und problemlos überall einsetzen, sei es auf VPS, Loadbalancer oder anderen Diensten. Die Zuweisung verlief durchweg unkompliziert und intuitiv. (Auch der Support war schnell zu erreichen und hat binnen 6 Stunden jegliche Fragen und Probleme klären können).

Auch das Anmeldeverfahren hat sich verbessert: Diesmal wurde mir nicht erst das Geld abgebucht und anschließend ein Identitätscheck durchgeführt, was den Start deutlich angenehmer machte.

Einziger Kritikpunkt: Ich habe während der normalen Arbeitszeiten einen Rückruf von einem Sales-Team-Mitarbeiter angefordert. Ich wurde zwar zeitnah kontaktiert, allerdings nicht von einem deutschsprachigen Mitarbeiter. Das wäre an sich kein Problem gewesen, allerdings gestaltete sich die Kommunikation auf Englisch als sehr schwierig. Direkt nach Annahme des Anrufs hieß es zunächst „A moment please“, daraufhin wurde ich etwa 10 Minuten mit Wartemusik vertröstet. Danach musste ich dem Mitarbeiter erst erklären, worum es mir eigentlich geht. Aufgrund der Englischkenntnisse des Mitarbeiters war dies recht mühsam. Außerdem hörte ich im Hintergrund etwa 20 weitere Personen, was die Kommunikation zusätzlich erschwerte. Als Business-Kunde hätte ich hier etwas mehr Qualität erwartet.

Trotz dieses kleinen Mankos bin ich insgesamt wesentlich zufriedener mit den Leistungen von OVH als noch vor einigen Jahren.

No response to mass phishing!

I found over 200 phishing sites on this hosting. All of them are located on one server on one IP address. The target was citizens of European countries. On July 6, I sent a complaint through their complaint form. And now, 3 weeks later, there has been no response, the number of phishing sites continues to grow.
Although services such as Google Safe Browsing have marked the sites as phishing, the hosting continues to host them.

Wszystko potrzebuje czasu

Wszystko potrzebuje czasu, a ja jestem w panice. Nie potrafiłem przekazać DNS do Cloudflare; Cloudflare po kilku dniach wywołało problemy przez niepasujące DNS. Do tego jeszcze responder miał problemy u tego użytkownika.

No dobrze, ochłonąłem. Widać, że jesteście bardzo zajęci takimi amatorami jak ja. Gdy skończy się miesiąc, wykupię najmniejszy 25-dolarowy pakiet jako rekompensatę. Sam jestem nonprofit. Będziemy dłużej współpracować, podoba mi się przejrzystość—jak na mój gust, trochę nachodzą boczne paski na widok pośrodku i jest ciężko to ogarnąć, gdzie kliknąć, by się zwineły. Poza tym, profesjonalnie i szybko to lubię, a reszta to tylko moja niezdarność. Mam domenę od paru lat, ale dopiero od 5 dni całkowicie ją doglądam.

Bardzo mnie ucieszyła wiadomość, że będzie mi pomagać wasza doświadczona ekipa, gdy dostarczę dokumenty. Za 10 minut będę z dokumentami... DarkSiders.pl.

Everything takes time, and I'm in a panic. I couldn't transfer the DNS to Cloudflare; after a few days, Cloudflare caused issues due to mismatched DNS records. On top of that, the responder had problems for that user.

Well, I’ve calmed down. It seems you are very busy with amateurs like me. Once the month is over, I will purchase the smallest $25 package as compensation. I am also a nonprofit. We will collaborate for longer; I like the transparency—although, in my opinion, the side bars overlap with the main view and it's hard to figure out where to click to collapse them. Other than that, I like it to be professional and fast; the rest is just my clumsiness. I've had the domain for a few years, but I've only been managing it entirely for the last 5 days.

I was very pleased to hear that your experienced team will help me once I provide the documents. In 10 minutes, I will have the documents... DarkSiders.pl.

Why are we landing in the 48 hour order validation again in a timely urgent situation?

Edit: The issue was resolved in time, although multiple paths and multiple requests were needed.

This is about order number 225222001. We set up hosted exchange with you on Monday, with the surprise that our order needs 48 hours processing time. When we asked support, they told us that we absolutely had to set up exchange by Friday, as our old hosting contract expires at the weekend. The support agent on the phone explained to us that the 48-hour check only occurs the first time and not for subsequent orders.

With this confidence, we bought the necessary hosted exchange licenses on thursday (yesterday), trusting that the order would go through immediately. And we ended up in the 48 hour check again!!! We absolutely have to make the migration today (Friday 21.03.25) as our contract with the old hoster expires at the weekend. I have contacted telephone support twice today and chat support twice and they don't want to speed up the validation of our order. The fact that we were told that validation will not happen again for subsequent orders is being ignored.

If the validation can still be carried out today, I am happy to withdraw the rating. But if the order won't be processed today, our business will be impacted by that decision.

experiencing one of the worst support…

experiencing one of the worst support service with them, the entire company is desync. They close the ticket but the solution is not there. I cancelled all my contracts still they are charging my card and I can't delete my card from there as the system doesn't allow.

Absolutely dismal support

Absolutely dismal support, even when premium Support is payed for. It takes days to get an answer and the provided answers where never actually helpful, but passiv aggressiv or deflecting. Chatting with live support and one will get redirected to the ticket system... Even for simple stuff like getting a quota increased, because the button on the page is broken.

Edit: about 30 minutes after writing this i finally got my tickets resolved, correcting from 1 to 3 stars.

Uwaga na tych złodziei i oszustów OVH…

Hüten Sie sich vor diesen OVH-Dieben und Betrügern!!! Ich wollte bei ihnen einen VPS-Server bestellen. Ich habe die Bestellung Anfang November aufgegeben, den entsprechenden Betrag per Sofortüberweisung auf ihr Bankkonto überwiesen, um den Start des Dienstes zu beschleunigen, die Bank hat alle meine Daten bestätigt und diese Betrüger wollen, dass ich meine Ausweisdokumente usw. scanne Aktivieren Sie den bestellten Dienst. Ich frage mich, was ihr Zweck ist. Ich habe den bestellten Service storniert, weil ich ihnen keine gescannten Dokumente zuschicken wollte, um nicht mit irgendeinem seltsamen Kredit, den jemand unter Verwendung meiner Daten aufgenommen hat, zu Banken und Gerichten gehen zu müssen. Bis heute habe ich die gezahlten Beträge nicht zurückerhalten. Ich bringe den Fall vor Gericht. Für mich sind OVH Diebe und Betrüger. Ich habe bei einem anderen Anbieter einen VPS-Server zum gleichen Preis und zu besseren Konditionen bestellt, die Angelegenheit dauerte 15 Minuten. ACHTUNG bei OVH!!!

Uwaga na tych złodziei i oszustów OVH !!! Chciałam zamówić u nich serwer VPS. Zamówienie złożyłam na początku listopada, wpłaciłam odpowiednią kwotę na ich konto bankowe przelewem natychmiastowym żeby przyspieszyć uruchomienie usługi, bank potwierdził moje wszystkie dane a ci oszuści żeby uruchomić zamówioną usługę chcą od mnie skanu dokumentów tożsamości itd. Ciekawe w jakim celu? Anulowałam zamówioną usługę bo nie wyśle im żadnego skanu dokumentów żeby później nie bujać się po bankach i sądach z jakimś dziwnie zaciągniętym kredytem przez kogoś na moje dane. Do dziś wpłaconych środków nie odzyskałam. Sprawę kieruję do sądu. Dla mnie OVH to złodzieje i oszuści. Zamówiłam serwer VPS u innego dostawcy w tej samej cenie na lepszych warunkach, załatwienie sprawy trwało 15 minut. UWAGA na OVH !!!

Bitte erzählen Sie hier keine Kindermärchen!

1. Durch die Eingabe Ihrer Daten im Kundenpanel und das Hinzufügen einer Zahlungsmethode im OVH-Portal bestätigt die Bank automatisch die SEPA-Zahlungsautorisierung und die Übereinstimmung der Kundendaten. Dies bestätigt der Kunde auch mit geeigneten Verfahren zur Sicherung des Bankkontos in einem solchen Verfahren.

2. Nur staatliche Institutionen und Banken können einen Scan von Ausweisdokumenten anfordern. Bitte lesen Sie die EU-Richtlinien.

3. Wenn Sie schreiben, dass Ihnen die Sicherheit Ihrer Kunden am Herzen liegt, aktivieren Sie bitte den funktionierenden Support.
Ich kann dich telefonisch nicht erreichen, Livechat funktioniert nie, beim Öffnen eines Tickets muss man ein paar Tage auf eine Antwort warten, das Ticket wird entweder ohne Antwort gelöscht oder verschwindet ganz.

OVH hat nichts mit der Kundensicherheit zu tun. Bedauerlicherweise.
Im Gegenteil! Sie setzen den Klienten Verlusten, Stress und Zeit aus.

Ich ändere meine Bewertung nicht.

OVH das schlechteste Hosting.

Das ist es.

1. All data is confirmed by the bank when verifying the SEPA mandate.
2. This data is sent to OVH.
3. This data must match the data in the OVH customer panel.
4. OVH has no right to demand a scan of identity documents from customers! I have already reported the matter to the appropriate office.
5. When ordering/transferring WWW domains, the procedure is identical.

From what I can see, you do not know what you are writing about.
You could write such nonsense as a child in kindergarten.

I checked three other hosting companies in Germany.
The law is clear.
It takes from 5 to 15 minutes to resolve the matter. After SEPA confirmation and payment of funds.

And not a month!!!

1. Alle Angaben werden von der Bank bei der Prüfung des SEPA-Mandats bestätigt.
2. Diese Daten werden an OVH übermittelt.
3. Diese Daten müssen mit den Daten im OVH-Kundenpanel übereinstimmen.
4. OVH hat kein Recht, Kunden aufzufordern, ihre Ausweisdokumente zu scannen! Ich habe den Sachverhalt bereits bei der zuständigen Stelle gemeldet.
5. Bei der Bestellung/Übertragung von WWW-Domains ist der Ablauf identisch.

Soweit ich weiß, wissen Sie nicht, worüber Sie schreiben.
Mit einem Kind im Kindergarten könnte man solchen Unsinn schreiben.

Ich habe drei andere Hosting-Sites in Deutschland überprüft.
Das Gesetz ist klar.
Die Bearbeitung der Angelegenheit dauert zwischen 5 und 15 Minuten. Nach SEPA-Bestätigung und Geldeinzahlung.

Und nicht einen Monat!!!

Please be aware that when an order is canceled, we do not complete the transaction. The pre-authorization will automatically expire after a certain period, and the reserved amount will be canceled from your statement. This process typically takes between 9 to 14 days for credit card payments and up to 30 days for PayPal payments. The reserved amount will then be returned to your account balance.

Our security procedure allows us to use the request for justifications to attest to information provided.

For example, if you order a domain name from OVHcloud, the registry that manages the domain name may request verification of the identity of the future owner.

The requested documents ensure that the information entered is consistent with the actual holder’s information.

"downtime" doesn't count for broken hardware?

the physical hardware of our servers became faulty and did not respond. our servers were down for close to 72 hours.
We were unable to backup our data because everything basically got destroyed.

OVH offered us a 30% service credit (for one month) and sited we were only down for 1200 minutes, because technically they could ping the server, even though no one could connect.
We told them 2 days straight that there is an issue, until they finally checked and found out the hardware was faulty and unresponsive.

we are suppose to have a 100% service credit accordingly to their own literal rules SLA rules

but instead we get a measly 30% because they don't consider broken hardware as "downtime"

moving away from OVH as soon as possible.

Une catastrophe

Une catastrophe !
A se demander si la société est gérée par une IA tant il est impossible d'obtenir la moindre réponse humaine à ses problèmes. On tourne en rond dans d'interminables FAQ, et il faut payer pour avoir accès à un support un tant soit peu personnalisé. Bref, si vous voulez vieillir prématurément, faites le choix d'OVH, sinon, fuyez.
Bien meilleure expérience avec O2Switch, par contre.
