ALERT!! ALERT!! Dishonest company
ALERT!! ALERT!! This company has close to zero integrity. I currently own several oilcloth coats and hats with the outback trading company label on them. I reproof them using their "duckback dressing" Recently i discovered the company knowingly lies about the net product weight in each container. The label shows net wt 6ozs. This is not correct!! Truth is...nt product wt in every container i have is 4.6/4.7 ozs. Net product wt is 1.3-1.4ozs less than than the label shows. I've personally used their duckback dressing for many years. I usually keep 12-15 units on hand. In the last 2-3 wks,..i've had online discussions with their customer service rep. I shared my findings about their fraudulent labels. I was sent an email. It said, they know the labels are wrong. They know, the net product weight is less than the label shows. They tried to explain, why there's less product in each container. Also that the labels are correct. I asked that a manufacturer rep call me. I wanted to have a science discussion. Never got a phone call. Customer service rep said they'd send me some free containers of duckback dressing....as a show of goodwill. I refused their offer. I used to love outback trading company. As a result, i now believe they have zero integrity and are very dishonest. They have no respect for their customers. They should actually get "0 stars"

Don’t buy their products
Don’t buy their products, they don’t last as holes open up very quickly on wear points after a very short period of time. The snaps are cheap and fall off for no reason. Ridiculous price for such poor quality product. I’ve thrown mine out because it’s just garbage! Don’t trying to get satisfaction from their “customer service department “ - they are just arrogant and rude. Avoid this company’s products!

Returned a coat that fit like a maternity coat. After a month still no refund. Very dissatisfied and will not shop there again.
Great Oilskin Products
I ordered my first oilskin jacket and used it during our winter storm and it was great. Not overly thick, but warm and kept the wind and snow out. I can tell that this is going to be my new favorite jacket. My order arrived quick, and ordering was easy. If you need a new jacket check out the Gidley Jacket.
Great quality pieces
I tried out the Clare Jacket in the fall and really loved it! It was durable, sturdy, & stylish. Such a fun & functional accessory, will be adding more Outback pieces to my wardrobe!

Absolutely love Outback Trading Company's products! I've used their jackets and outerwear for years for chores around the farm and they really stand up to the elements and hard use. Recently I've added some new items of theirs to my wardrobe and I absolutely love the Big Shirt fleece. It's a perfect layer to add for extra warmth or wear as a great accessory on its own. Highly recommend Outback!
Outback Trading Co Not trustworthy
Outback Trading Co. PA, is the worst company I've ever done business with. I ordered and paid for a hat on Dec 8th. They quickly took my money but here we are Dec 18th with no hat. I contacted the company today and Tori had absolutely no desire to help me or answer my questions, just blamed the post office and told me to talk to them. However, according to tracking, they haven't even received the package yet! I guess it's ok to take people's money then lie to them. Absolute worst company I've ever dealt with. Based on my experience, I do not recommend them to anyone.
Outback Roswell Hat Ordered Ran Enormous vs Size Chart, Cumbersome Return Process
Ordered a hat from the company (order #296344), a wool Roswell model size M. The size chart said a medium was size 7 1/8, but hat received (with M tag) was at least a size 8, well over an inch too large. Return process was difficult, requiring a return slip print and a trip to USPS (even though it was delivered via UPS). Every step of return process was cumbersome.
Based on this experience, I recommend you buy from a different company, no matter what your're buying (hat, clothing, accessories, etc).

There is no filter for size option. So if you want to find anything in your size and it’s a popular size, you’re wasting your time.
Outback doesn't care about customers
I ordered a hat on March 25th for a trip I am currently now on in South America. I have both a family history of skin cancer and a sensitivity to petroleum products so I need natural fiber hats. On March 29th I noticed I had not received a shipping email. I contacted the company and was told that my order had failed to process. I then requested that since they had failed to process my order, which was obviously not my fault, that they expedite the shipping for my hat so that it would arrive before I left the US on April 7th. I was told they would "contact the shipping department"...the package was shipped ground...not expedited. When I learned this I wrote them again saying how this was unacceptable and they offered to cancel my shipment and give me a 10% discount on a future purchase...what good is that to me? The hat arrived on April 7th while I was at the airport. I then had to pay 80$ to have the hat shipped to Brazil. Now it's stuck in Brazilian customs in São Paulo and I may not have it at all on my trip. I have arranged for the hotel I'm no longer staying in to send to me in Rio if it arrives before I leave for the Pantanal. This is all their fault because their computer system failed to process my ordered. They could have expedited the shipping and they didn't. They could have sent me a second hat with next day air and recalled the first one but they didn't. They could have shown an ounce of interest in caring about me as a customer but they didn't. They are a garbage company who clearly doesnt give a shit about failing their customers. I've now spent 180$ on a hat that I've never seen let alone put on my head.
I was so disappointed in their return…
I was so disappointed in their return policy. I ordered a size that was too small, I placed a call to customer service and was shipped a larger size. Unfortunately, this jacket was way too big. I was not told by customer service at the time of my exchange that that would be a final sale. I would have asked for a refund rather than risk having a jacket I can’t wear. Horrible!
Horrible Customer Service and unexpected cost
Placed an order. Paid $50 for shipping, then got an email from FedEx asking for $50+ for customs. Emailed the company to either return or cover the additional cost but they haven’t responded to any of my messages. It’s frustrating.

Pictures showed just the hat and was received with a strap. Tried hat several different times and it felt like it fit okay so removed the strap which included two tabs inside hat. First time wearing hat for about an hour and left red mark across my forehead. Something in material? But could not return as removed tabs, which never would have happened had they shown accurate pictures. I don't like sneaky people and would not do business with them again.

I was under the impression this product was made in New Zealand or Australia.

Outback mailed order to wrong city and then charge me for my mistake when it was returned.
Lost money due to faulty shop.com integration on the outback site
I ordered a hat from outback trading. They shipped it to the wrong address (they did NOT verify my shipping address). What happened was they pulled an old address from shop.com. I demanded a return, and they blamed me for the problem (even though the problem was their faulty integration with shop.com) and told me I can only get a refund if the item was returned. Luckily it was. I spent $89.84 for the hat. They refunded me $81.18. Again, blaming the customer.
