The Options Trading Club (OTC) is the best options community I've been a part of. Unlike other "communities" that post nonsense yolo alerts and have a lot of Reddit/WSB-type chatter, the OTC focuses on a true sense of community, education, and trading with a purpose. Users are all very kind and positive towards each other. There is also a healthy mix of both moderators and users posting trade ideas everyday. In addition, users and moderators routinely bounce ideas and their thesis off each other and are very willing to answer any and all questions for traders of all skill levels. I highly recommend this community as it's definitely worth it!

The 1 star is for the following - not the emails from them (sadly, have not had the chance to give them a proper perusing) - it is for the fact that I never subscribed yet receive them (yes, I know how that works but somebody needs to at some point address the fact the this - cumulatively - is abuse of the physically disabled and injured who cannot clear out their inboxes and invasive, to say the least. More importantly, the one star is for the repeated mis-use of inaccurate term(s) I've noted in reviews - smacks of planted reviews or more sadly, bad intel/use of vocabulary incorrectly in the emails. I hope not on both counts - and do wish all the best. I won't have the leisure for very sound reasons to give a proper go to the emails for a while, but may get a break and would enjoy checking them out. Best to all of you - writers & readers.

OTC has been well worth the money for me, and in fact, it more than pays for itself with all of the trades posted for review. There is a lot of good educational materials for beginners and for those more advanced, they have a good set of trading rules to review. People on the discord also provide advice on trades, options, theories, etc. Two thumbs up! Time to get back to trading…

These guys are awesome. They post their trades, and explain their reasoning. For anyone who is just getting into options trading, this discord is a must. The admin are extremely helpful and responsive.

I just love being a member of OTC. I have been a member since the beginning and it has definitely helped me become a better options trader. I am always learning new things and discussing ideas with different members of the community.

Horrible service. absolute scam. keep on charging me after I removed my card so they save ur card info which is beyond unethical. Just a failure in life who trying to take advantage of new people. If you really want to learn just go to youtube. Absolute disgrace

Used this service for about a year. It is a relatively affordable and seemingly altruistic service.

The program is decent. Basic concepts with a little bit of nuances explained in easy to digest format. The accent makes it a little tough but the videos allow you to rewind so generally not a problem.

There are a few great people in the discord but generally speaking, it is dead in there.

Also - there needs to be a bigger discussion on risk management. some wheel strategies went great but I did not realize how bad they COULD go if the market dropped drastically - that was a terrible situation.

My complains mainly come with billing. I changed my credit card and it continued to charge my old credit card that was a pain.

I left the program and cancelled and I was still charged by Gianmarco for some large amount that never approved. I had left the program over 4 months ago. Very poor and shady practices.

I would highly recommend joining this group. The moderators are very experience, supportive and responsive to all your queries. The fees that they charged can be recoup so easy with one or two trades. Also if you participate some of their trade suggestion the success rate is very high. Good group to follow. I am already a member for a few months before i choose to review. I will surely join for a long time.

The MIM trade recommendations are great. They are not big money earners, but are high probability, slow consistent earners. When starting options trading perfect strategy.

My 100% honest and transparent review:

Probably one of the worst services I’ve come across. Like most, they use sleazy techniques to get you to join, such as a “founding membership” that perpetually has “less than 25 seats remaining”, even as a bunch of suckers flock in and claim those “limited” seats. But that’s not really a big deal. All these services do it, since they are functionally just marketing companies masquerading as trading services.

Don’t be fooled by the posted win-rate. There are tons of “open” positions that are deep underwater. Like, the Marianas Trench level deep. A bunch of $100 winners don’t mean much when you’ve also got a slew of $5000+ losers that you haven’t put on your books, because the trade isn’t officially “closed” yet.

The owner, Gianmarco, will see these as “unrealized losses”, despite the inarguable fact that you do actually realize a loss every time you roll a losing position. It’s just not realized on his personal spreadsheet. He’ll just keep rolling a loser out, racking up bigger losses, until eventually the stock get assigned. Then you’ve just got to pray that stock can shoot up 150%+ so you can get back to break-even on a garbage company. The lack of risk management employed in his strategies is astounding. And if it stays underwater for years, he still won’t count it as a loss, so he can maintain that nonsense “100% win rate”. It’ll just stay “open” forever.

In an atypical market where everything just goes up, you’ll make a small amount of money with this service. People who joined during the last “anyone can make money” bull run probably made a bit of money. Not a lot, but some. It’s a high risk & low reward strategy. When the market turns down, the strategy fails, and it fails in an epic manner. Epic like, a few losing trades will wipe out an entire good year’s worth of winners. They sell premium, so each trade has tiny upside and massive downside. These strategies can certainly work if they are employed properly, and with adequate risk management, but the person running this service simply doesn’t have the experience or ability to do so.

Yet another service run by “trader” with a losing strategy, unable to make consistent profits from trading, and instead earning all his money from membership fees paid by gullible saps.

He runs books on Cash-Secured Puts, Iron Condors, Credit Spreads, Time Spreads, and a few others. All his various strategies follow the same pattern of small gains, followed by massive losses that take the account back into the red. It appears that the general idea here is to confuse new traders with multi-legged strategies so they blame themselves when they fail, and don’t realize that the trade leader doesn’t actually know how to trade profitably. To be fair, the strategies are not complicated, but I’ve noticed that a lot of the users in the service are brand new to trading options, and they have trouble grasping the basics of the strategies used—and that’s exactly what services like this thrive on.

The membership fee is relatively low, but that doesn’t matter. The $247/yr you pay for this service will be nothing compared to the amount of money you’ll lose by following the alerts.

If you do decide to join, make sure you employ your own risk management strategies, since Gianmarco does not have any. If you use your own stop losses, you might be lucky enough to end up break-even on the alerts (or slightly positive in a bull market). Over any meaningful length of time, however, you will likely lose money following the alerts issued here.

Don’t be fooled.

Tl;dr: Small wins, huge losses. Losing strategies. Avoid.

A little story about how I came in touch with OTC:
After trading for a year now, mostly successful, I missed realizing that we're in a global recession, also inflation and the Ukrainian war impacted a lot the stock market. Combined with some unclarities I had with options trading and by following the wrong 'Guru' David Jaffee, I made some unfortunate trades (PYPL and SHOP) which I - despite trying to fix them over the course of 6 months - couldn't repair anymore. The result was, I wiped out almost my whole account. Unnecessary to say that I had 6 months of sleepless nights, got depressed and all that. I dared to look out for new strategies, because I still believed in options trading, so I found OTC. After some weeks of checking out their strategies and participating in trading idea discussions, I found it really excellent. I'm now a member since more than 4 weeks, and I booked winning trades constantly, sometimes every couple of days, sometimes daily. Also, since a few days, Gianmarco is testing a new strategy, which worked excellently so far, and made us book daily wins! So far, I can genuinely tell that, together with Brad Castro's Leveraged Investing Club, this is the best and most candid option selling discussion and idea platform I've found and I'll definitely stick with them. The yearly fee also is nothing compared with what you get from them and you can recoup most of it within a few weeks if you follow the strategies. I think, though, that it makes sense to have at least an account size of ~5.000 - 10.000 $ minimum for being able to follow the trade recommendations.

I really like this community. I have bounced to several option discords that try to give you the fast money but I see that it's not a good consistent lifetime way of trading for me to while working a full time job and being there for my family. This group shows you how you can trade and not spend hours and hours all the time and make profit in this unpredictable market. It's not a hand holding discord but I feel like that is the way to learn also better. I plan to stay with this group for a long time.

This will be extensive. I believe that OTC is a great starting community for new option traders. It's a new community as well, just started in 2021 and I have been with OTC for several months. I agree that I absolutely made money and the monthly pricing of 19.99 is not bad. However, depending on your account size you can get a minimum of 3% return over 1 calendar year.
The pro is that it gave me more confidence to trade and put some real skin in the market but you get what you paid, that is the community. You are basically following the trades ideas of specific individuals based on the screeners they have chosen on a specific system of criteria. If you are like me and like to learn about options or stocks, a lot of the material that OTC is spitting out is not ground breaking but can be seen from a lot of option strategy that is already being implemented. Community is very nice, open and true there is some drama here and there but we are all people at the end of the day.
The Cons, everything is self-taught and you would need to be a go getter to progress in this world of trading. There is no direct mentorship but you can ask questions. In the end of the day, they will not give you a straight forward answer maybe because they want to sell some courses for extra cash. If your trade goes against you, you are pretty much soloing that trade at the end of the day; nobody is holding your hands. My biggest suggestion is going with OTC they do have a 30-day money back guarantee or something like that… But if you feel like its lacking in content don’t be afraid to jump ships. Again, love the community and people. But I am here to learn and make some money.
Summary, you can grow in OTC and grow out of it real fast. Great community and people. Low monthly payment of 19.99 may vary over the months. You will make some money or at least reduce the risk of loosing a lot of money. It’s a learn at your own pace. You put what you get out of it. It’s a community and not really one-on-one. They do have courses but take it with a grain of salt. You can follow their trades and will get more confidence but once it goes against you pretty much solo. Biggest take away is don’t put your emotions on your trades and always learn how to manage risk. The 1% rule will save your butt in multiple occasions. The market is a probability game based on human emotions. As traders your job is to learn historical trades and have a just cause to enter and get out. Never play the long game unless you have a game plan.
Just sharing last piece of insight, the people you are playing with are other retail traders and the big hedge fund 1%, dollars and dollars of money. This game is about who is going to lose money you or them.

It’s okay. I don’t find it useful and believe there’s better out there .

I was recommended Stock Element and I’m more happier with their quality & price .

OTC helped me build a critical foundation in advanced strategies that have helped me grow my account exponentially over the last few months. The community is very active and insanely supportive of novices. Lots of quality learning material and wisdom in that discord. Highly recommend.

I was joining OTC a few months ago to receive some interesting stock picks and maybe advance my trading.

There are a few members which are really helpful and will give you good feedback. When you are a beginner the education section will be helpful for you.

However the main reason for me to leave OTC again is the trades offered in the journals. The advertisement is a 100% win rate, which is true when you consider rolling deep in the money options further and further. There are trades which can’t be won and trying to turn them into winners will only cost performance.

There are still plenty of good trades. But not my style of trading and no 100% win rate as advertised.

Gianmarco is an amazing, generous instructor and person. As a fairly long-time member, I highly recommend joining this community - you'll learn a lot, and you'll be in great company while doing so :)

I am learning more and more each day. Follow some trades from here and add from my own experience. Great information.
