Upselling
Went for laser surgery to just generally see better due to getting older. I was convinced it wasn’t the best option and was upsold lens replacement. It seemed they wanted me to sign up straight away and a man who was there before me got up and left saying he couldn’t afford the lens replacement so I was prepared for upselling. Eventually I contacted them again and said I really wanted laser and I became eligible and suitable. Not sure how that changed but that would have to attend and go through all the test again. It was 2 weeks later. What’s changed. I went there for laser so are they saying they didn’t do those tests. Just a cautionary tale for those who are thinking about their eyes

Cannot recommend Optimax Maidstone enough. Recently had LASIK surgery. From consultation to surgery to aftercare- everything was smooth and swift. All the staff are lovely, friendly and very professional. I can see!!! Thank you

Got Lasek eye surgery on 11th April 2025 at Optimax Glasgow. From booking my consulation over the phone to attending it. Attending on the day of surgery and so far my 2 aftercare visits, i cannot fault the level of care every single member of staff has shown me. From general chit chat, to giving me all the relevant info and always answering any question i had for them has always been excellent.
I had a video call with the surgeon pre surgery and on the day of surgery, Dr Malcom Samuel is so relaxed and keeps you calm, definately the right man for the job.
The surgery went seamlessley, was only in the operating room for a matter of minutes, before i knew it the procedure had been completed succesfully.
The aftercare has been amazing, arrived early for my appointments as i travelled nearly 2 hours to get there and it was no hassle to see me earlier than my allocated time.
Also the amount of medical drops they give you to administer at home is more than enough.
If everyone has the same experience as i have had, then no one should make any complaints and should only say positive things. I cant stress enough follow the post treatment care to the letter and you should have no problems. Do not think you know best, you leave yourself open for a longer recovery period and you are only to blame not the experts at the clinic. Please invest in a very good not expensive set of sunglasses, as the people at the clinic know what standard of glasses you should buy.
My wife has been so impressed she ilhas now decided to see if she can get her eyes lasered.

Great experience at Optimax Glasgow - Nicola who I dealt with was very friendly and organised everything for me diligently.

I had Lasek done on the 17th March and I couldnt be happier with my vision. I would encourage anyone to do it! Its great not having to wear glasses.

Optimax Manchester were amazing!
From someone who was incredibly nervous and couldn't even touch their own eyes. They talked me through everything. Were never pushy. They understood what a big decision it is. And helped me every step of the way. The staff in the Manchester clinic in particular are the reason I'd recommend them to anyone. Thoughtful, caring, considerate. And went above and beyond. They also remember things about you and take an interest in you. Which is rare, but in any form of business, matters! They make customers feel reassured from the initial consultation!
Having Lasek meant there was a longer recovery time, and throughout the entire time they and we're on the other end of the phone any time I had any questions or concerns!
Cannot thank and recommend Optimax Manchester enough for everything!

Optimax Maidstone
I have Lasik eye treatment 3 months ago after a long time of debating about it. The team at Maidstone were fabulous, friendly and informative, which made me feel at ease from before to after the procedure.
Being nervous about having it done they went through everything step by step.
I always heard people say "best thing I've done and wish I had it done earlier" well i can now agree with that!!

Excellent service, appointments on time. Aftercare after cataract surgery was very good.

I had lens replacement done in February and from the very first phone call to been discharged i have received the utmost professionalism and such quality care. The Leeds team have become like a little family and I’m sad to leave them now but i have their reassurance that they’re always here for me.
My only regret is not having it done years ago as it’s changed my life it’s amazing.

LASIK
I had LASIK in the Glasgow branch in Oct 2023. From start to finish all staff were amazing. On the day of the procedure I was quite nervous but the staff and Dr Samuel were awesome and did everything the could to make me feel at ease.

Preocendure went well and aftercare has been great.

I have no complaints about the procedure or the care during it. However I am concerned that in a follow up appointment I was told I needed an additional procedure (around £300). I didn’t have it done and when I went back the following year I was told it wasn’t needed.
The administration of after care appointments could be improved

Had lens replacement in Liverpool april 2023 .I would recommend the liverpool office 100% and all the staff were excellent and very friendly and professional . Also after care was 100% positive

Staff very friendly and professional,made me feel at ease,but with an assuring attitude, really pleased with aftercare,as I had my laser eye surgery 5 years ago,but my right eye had regressed so I was able to get it done again at no extra expense.
Think this is the only company that offer this life aftercare.
