Great coaching and very detailed, ran very well.

We had high hopes for On The Ball Academy, but unfortunately it did not live up to what was promised. The training is not structured or consistent, and the kids are not coached properly. Sessions often feel disorganised, with little individual attention or clear development plan.

Another major issue is the lack of proper match play. For a football academy, children should be regularly playing games to learn teamwork, confidence, and real match experience — but this never ever happened.

What concerns me the most is the huge difference in how children are treated. Some kids clearly receive more attention and opportunities, while others are overlooked. This creates an unfair and discouraging environment, especially for young players who are there to learn and enjoy football.

Overall, it feels like fees are taken without delivering the quality training and equal opportunities that are advertised. I wouldn’t recommend this academy to parents who are looking for proper coaching, regular games, and fair treatment for all children

A week prior to the camp my son fractured his foot (playing football). I informed On the Ball but no refund was issued. Avoid.

I run a Newcastle based U11 team and travelled to Glasgow to play against On The Ball Academy. The experience was second to none and was well organised by Ryan & Dominic.

The lads that were playing were obviously coached very well and showed excellent knowledge of the game.

I would definitely recommend that anyone looking to improve their football knowledge and skills get in touch.

I used On The Ball for my son during the summer break in the season. He loved the sessions and really benefited from the personal one-to-one tuition. The sessions are fun and focus on improving techniques. Would highly recommend.

My 2 children attended the football camp at Brinscall during the summer holidays and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very well organised and a lot of fun in addition to building on their footballing skills and confidence. Originally booked them in for 2 days but my eldest (age 9) insisted on going back for day 3 he enjoyed it so much. Wouldn’t hesitate book again!

Thank you to Callum and Justin for the football camp during the summer holidays. My Son is always playing football and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
They made it exciting and different everyday, Callum is great with the kids and a fab football coach. Thank-you again.

Took my son for a 1 to 1 taster session with Callum a couple of months ago as he wanted to brush up on his skills in time for the new season.

He enjoyed it so much we have been going ever since! The half term football camp was excellent also.

Callum is a great coach, very professional and all ready started to see the results from his sessions in both my fitness and skill. Cannot recommended Cal enough, get your sessions booked in before he is fully booked through summer as I have no doubt this will be the case!
