One Day Tests - Manchester Anmeldelser 

I used this clinic for a one-day hCG blood test at their Manchester location, but unfortunately my experience did not meet expectations.

My blood sample was taken at 10:00am on Tuesday, and I only received my results at 16:39 on Thursday — over 48 hours later. While the clinic maintains this falls within their stated “1–2 working day” turnaround, the way this is communicated is quite misleading, especially for a time-sensitive test like hCG where quicker results are often important.

There was also no proactive communication or update regarding the delay, and I had to chase for clarity myself.

I believe this is due to them not having a lab in Manchester so they have to ship it to their London labs. However it took a day for them to ship to London which I find unacceptable given I paid over £70 for one blood test.
Overall, while the service was technically delivered within their stated timeframe, the experience did not align with what most patients would reasonably expect from a “one-day” test.

Very professional service! I used the ‘walk in’ option and was seen quite quickly. The nurse taking the blood was very friendly and professional and explained the process to me. I received emails as and when my results were available. The on-line page where I can view my blood results was very clear and accessible to me. I will definitely use this organisation again as I was very impressed.

Fast, easy, painless, amazing and helpful service.

I submitted a complaint 4 days ago. The auto-response said I would hear back within 24 hours. I have not received a respionse. My complaint is about the clinical accuracy of the result. Particularly MCV and MCHC due to in-vitro swelling (I used their Manchester Clinic and was never advised this could be an issue due to logistics - their labs are only down south). Very expensive considering the slow customer service.

-To update, had a response, that referred me to the PHSO ombudsman. Surely as a private provider they should know that PHSO only deals with NHS / public bodies. They also said that I was told about the logistics at the clinic, but that's exactly my problem (should have been disclosed upon booking). On reflection I did discover a couple of results that were helpful going forward, so would probably add a star, but the comms since have been less than ideal, so sticking with the 2.

I booked a blood test at One Day Tests in Manchester as I wanted to double check a result I had obtained from an NHS test. Booking was easy online. Debra made my visit very comfortable and i was seen on time. My result came through the next day as promised, via email, but my result is also held on my account for future reference. I shall definitely use One Day Tests again should the need arise.
The whole experience

Booking the blood test was easy, with plenty of availability.
The nurse was friendly, efficient and professional. She explained the process and the test was quick and relatively painless.
The results were with me, some that afternoon, all within a day or so. The dashboard has explanations of the different results.
It shows if something needs attention.

Very fast, friendly and efficient service

Convenient route to get blood testing done that your GP won't offer due to cost or that they either don't understand your health issues or don't want to devote the time to establish potential health issues. The Clinic on Bridge St Manchester, was conveniently located, spotlessly clean and staffed by a very pleasant and professional phlebotomist. Blood drawn on first go 👍

For me this has been the only expedient route to force my GP to refer to specialists fir neuropathy treatment. After much research OneDayTests offered a one stop shop for Active B12, folate, Homocysteine testing and frustratingly now offer Methylmalonic Acid (MMA) Blood Test, which is another key test for neuropathy and nerve issues.
