A large proportion of our students seek higher level apprenticeships as a post-18 destination but many find the process of finding them and being successful with applications challenging.

OneBigNext opened their eyes on how useful LinkedIn can be as a tool to support them in achieving them in their desired destinations.

Today's my last day as a Digital Marketing Intern at OneBigNext, and I wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

When I started, I barely knew what running content for a UK early-careers coaching brand actually involved. Three months later, I've touched pretty much every part of the marketing work - building a three-part content strategy around education, practical tips and conversion, writing TikTok scripts for apprenticeship programmes in fields like advertising, journalism and biomedical science, and adapting that content for Xiaohongshu to reach international students trying to figure out the UK job market.

I also got to work both behind and in front of the camera - filming, editing, adding subtitles and cleaning up audio for employer interview videos, then turning that footage into testimonials, LinkedIn posts and social content within days.

But honestly, what I'll remember most isn't any single project. It's the trust I was given to own things from start to finish, and the room to build something from scratch, test it, and watch it become part of how the brand tells its story. That kind of hands-on responsibility is rare for an internship, and I don't take it for granted.

A big thank you to Sandra Davis for the mentorship and honest feedback, and for always pushing me to think about content strategically instead of just producing it. Thanks too to everyone at OneBigNext who took the time to explain the "why" behind decisions, not just the "what" - that's what really stuck with me.

I'm leaving this internship with a much clearer sense of what good marketing execution looks like, some bilingual content skills I didn't have before, and real excitement about what's next. If you're weighing up an early-careers internship, my advice: pick the one that'll actually let you build something.

I felt unsure about what I should do with my future. This lead me to joining OneBigNext. Which showed me all possible routes I could take and what is the most suitable outcomes for me. My son had a very positive and successful experience with OneBigNext. He had never applied for a job before. This was his first application. He had originally planned to apply for an IT apprenticeship.
Sandra supported him really well to understand what his strengths are. She also helped him to create his CV and coached him in how to structure and what to include in his letter of application.
The interview practice session was incredibly useful and really boosted his confidence. He felt thoroughly prepared for his interview.

My daughter was nervous about her interview to study Natural Sciences degree at Cambridge University. She was worried about what type of questions would be thrown at her and had little experience at interviews.

OneBigNext helped to build confidence, with two mock interviews from two different chemistry teachers which was invaluable. It really helped for my daughter to practice answering questions in a pressurised environment. Sandra introduced some current Cambridge students, who spoke about their day to day life and the application process.

The outcome of working with Sandra is my daughter felt more interview prepared and confident. I would like to highly recommend the One Big Next Signature programme. Our son is in his second year of a degree and was applying for his 3rd year work placement with little university support. Sandra worked with him, helping him focus in on companies that matched his skill set, developing his confidence and skills in writing applications and showing him the importance of making human links with organisations he was looking to apply to. She worked with him on creating a Linked In profile and using Linked In to build connections. She suggested extra things he could do to make himself stand out. When it came to interviews, Sandra coached him on interview technique through practise interviews, videoing of these and developing self evaluation.
Our son landed the 3rd Year work placement that he wanted and we are so excited and pleased for him.
Applying for jobs in the present climate is such a different and difficult process for young people and the training that One Big Next and Sandra offer is incredibly valuable. Thank you!

Sandra recently worked with my daughter to prepare her for an interview for college. She quickly built a good rapport with my daughter, who at times can be really shy. Sandra provided the confidence and practice my daughter needed to go her interview feeling fully prepared. This even included choosing the right outfit.
