They kicked kids out of the movie for…

This is absolutely outrageous! A group of young kids, just trying to enjoy the Minecraft movie last night (5/4/25), got kicked out for laughing and having fun at the movie. It’s hard to believe that a full row of people who clearly knew each other were removed while others, who were actually disrupting the film, faced no consequences. The manager's aggressive behaviour by shouting and cursing at this young group, and even threatening to call the Gardaí is completely unacceptable. This group was simply following the lead of others who were enjoying the experience. This situation was an embarrassment for Omniplex Roscommon and obviously need to consider the experience and attitude of the staff they employ. It's disappointing and embarrassing to see such poor treatment of customers at OMNIPLEX ROSCOMMON, a cinema, which we longed for so long in the town.

Wigan Omniplex rip off
Initial 3 month price was soon increased then further additional costs to sit in any but the worst seats. Sorry but we’re too d cd any in Wigan and we won’t put up with it. Wife and I have now cancelled, doubt we’ll be back. Greedy little piggies

The lady asked me what drink I would like I tell her " 1 slushy Fanta and one coke zero" she hands me 2 mixed slushies I tell her what I ordered and she gives me 2 coke zeros and than I repeat my order for the 4th time to her and she poors out the 2 slushies in front of me and starts yelling at me, I ask for a manager and she makes me walk over to him and he didn't help at all he gave me the quote " silent treatment" and than finally speaks to us and says you changed you order 7 times when she mixed up the order 2 times and asked us very rudely to leave when we bought tickets and refused to refund us, 1 star (dundalk)

Impossible to cancel or get hold of…

Impossible to cancel or get hold of anyone directly.
I have paid the 3 month minimum and want to cancel my subscription as I have moved away from the area. Have messaged using the online form with zero response, and am unable to cancel from the manage subscription page. If they charge me again I will file a chargeback from my bank.

Shocking. Money grabbers.

When you opened your cinema in Wigan I jumped at the opportunity to have an OmniPass and couldn’t wait to enjoy cinema again as it’d been a while since we’d had a nice cinema. However, you’ve just got so many things wrong. Firstly, you led people to sign up for the OmniPass at £12.99 a month and forced us to sign up for a minimum of 3 months. However, after month one you put up the price to £15.99 a month. I naturally believed I would still have mine for the original price as I’d signed up from the start, but after looking back over my bank account it’s clear now that you started charging me £15.99 from month two!! I signed up at £12.99, not £15.99 and the fact you’ve done that without even consulting me is terrible customer service. The fact I was contracted to 3 months before I could cancel, but you went ahead and altered the price from month 2, it’s just really bad for you to have done that.

Not only this, but you’ve now added a fee to the seats?! What are you doing!? Do you not have anybody working for you that knows about customer retention and satisfaction? You could genuinely write a ‘How to’ on annoying customers. The issue with the additional fee is bigger than what you think though. Customers are booking the free seats, but then sitting in the seats with the fees, causing disruption during the film and bringing about an unsettling atmosphere in the cinema. I went to watch Gladiator 2 yesterday and a group of younger lads couldn’t sit in their purchased seats because some older lads had sat in theirs. They then were separated either side of my friend and I, to which of course we offered to move to allow them to sit together. However, then we were on edge thinking perhaps we too were now in somebody else’s seats. It’s just chaotic and a genuinely awful idea.

Following on from the disruption during the film, the idea of a beer during the film is attractive to some, but when it’s taken advantage of it quickly becomes a problem. There were 3 really loud men at the front of the screen constantly up and down purchasing beers and stumbling back to their seats, speaking loudly and dropping their glasses. If you’re going to allow people to buy alcohol, it should surely be limited to avoid a club-like atmosphere during a somewhat sacred place like the cinema screen itself? At the very least, you need to reassess how good an idea it is to allow glasses into the screen – the simple alternative is a plastic cup, surely? Not only was there disruption in the ways I’ve described, but also obnoxious people sat in the cinema laughing, talking loudly, and just making the experience of the cinema truly uncomfortable for everybody around them. Why aren’t attendants going into screens to check on cinema etiquette and asking people to leave or at the very least issuing warnings? It’s just a free for all.

Finally, I purchased a drink for £5.40. I’ll say that again, £5.50. Five pounds and 50 pence. I went brought the cup back to the desk convinced that it must be free refills – it is not. This is extortion, genuinely, and I think it’s only right to report this to some sort of trading standards. I assure you I will be taking in my own drink from now on. I even asked for a tap water a couple of weeks ago because I’d forgotten my bank card, but this needed to be authorised by a manager. Tap water! This surely ought to be something customers should be able to request without manager approval or charge? I was told this is usually not allowed. Just awful to treat people like this.

Oh and put the heating on. It’s always freezing cold in the screens. Maybe put some of the money you steal from customers towards it?

I’m gutted that OmniPlex has turned out to be such a terrible cinema experience, but I guess Wigan will have to await a new cinema once the town centre is complete.

Head office and General Manager do not engage

I have emailed a few times and have not yet received a response from High Wycombe or the Head office email address and would appreciate someone engaging with me to address my complaint. I went to the cinema on 9 December 2024 and did not see the film as screen 7 was broken. I asked for a refund since I live over 35 miles away and would not be able to benefit from the "complementary" tickets and was given the general manager's (Jeremy) email address as I was told refunds were dealt with at the head office. Since then I have been waiting for a response. The "contact us" function is not working on the website and I have been told that the cinema is in financial difficulties, which from my experience is unsurprising!

Omniplex, antes Moviplex, me han estafado 39,99 euros (el 17 de septiembre) por un servicio que JAMÁS recibí. LLevan dos meses con buenas palabras diciéndome que cobraré, pero esto nunca sucede. ¡Maldigo el día en que confié en ellos!

Omniplex - Mahon Point (Cork)

We went with my 8 year old son to the cinema. Got the sweets, popcorn and drinks. When we sat down my son wanted to seat between the 2 of us. As we got a big bag of popcorn it was awkward to share it as my son was in the middle. Went to desk and asked if i could get an empty paper bag... They told me that their stock is counted and that they could not give me one empty paper bag, really??? a paper bag?? there's no logo, barcode or anything to be counted for!! what a joke. Next time i'll bring my popcorn and food from home or I won't simply come back

Went tonight was really disappointed

Went tonight was really disappointed, there was a stench of fish in the foyer. My son got a hotdog it was tiny, for 5.50. We were in screen 10 and there was a big mark in the middle of the screen, was very off putting. Basically not a patch on cineworld. The tickets are cheap, but you get what you pay for. Will not be going back.

Deadpool at Wycombe Omniplex Cinema

I went to High Wycombe today at 1.30. I went to machine to buy a ticket. It showed all normal seats were booked but during the film there was only 9 people in the cinema only 4 in the normal seats. I had to buy a more expensive seat, not sure why?

OMNIPLEX SUNDERLAND

Went to the Omniplex Cinema Sunderland this morning with the grandchildren to watch IF, very clean, Staff friendly and free parking validated for the nearby Sunniside car park.
The kids loved the experience and so did I to be honest, you can't beat the cinema surround sound and we should all step up and support our local cinemas. £10 for 4 tickets for the kids club, highly recommended, we will definitely be back.. Thank You.

Customer service is not suited for all needs of customers

Not suited for needs of all customers
you have to order your food and drink of a touchscreen there’s no option to order from the counter as some people prefer face to face due to disabilities and needs . one of the counters could of been open to take orders instead of all being for collection therefore can’t really comment on customer service cos it’s all technology . The woman who checked our tickets seemed nice. Other than that we are thankful to have a cinema again in Sunderland

Money lost

Booked 2 tickets to Despicable Me 4 @ Omniplex balbriggan online. I didn't realise that I accidentally booked the wrong date and didn't realise till we arrived at the cinema. Staff weren't that helpful and were unable to refund. Lost €30.00, what a disappointment. I recommend being careful when booking and pay they extra so that you are able to get a refund or exchange tickets which we didn't.

Omniplex Larne - 5 Stars All The Way

Omniplex Larne -
Currently a Gold Member with the omni pass and have been an omni pass member for over 3 years now and I Love it.
Where else can you watch Every Movie in the Cinema for £9.99 a month?
It truly is Unbelievable Value for money - Now some people seem to be confused as they think its an UNLIMITED Pass to watch the same movie more than once, this is not the Case - The Omni Pass allows you to watch Every Movie in the Omniplex Cinema, whether its 1 a day or even 2 different movies on the same day as long as you haven't booked the same movie away you go. Using the (My Omni Pass App) on the Mobile Phone in my case (iPhone) is so easy to use and very user Friendly - I Love it.
Onto the Staff -
The staff are ALL Fantastic - The Manager - The Supervisor all the way down to the friendly staff behind the till...
All very friendly and happy to chat away to you.

First visit to omniplex

Just been to the new Sunderland one today and apart from a few hiccups on the way into the movie with my booking I found the place quite nice, clean, tidy and the staff were very helpful and polite as a disabled customer the girl helped me to my seat with my things etc and I was impressed with the self service screens and choice of drinks and snacks
