We started feeding Shadow NutriCanine in Jan 2026. By March she was a different dog; her coat returned to its original black colour, from grey ( we attributed to old age) and was fuller. By May she was doing zoomies, and running ahead of us on walks, which she had not done in years.By summer she was back at the dog park chasing her ball like she did when she was a puppy. No one believes she is 13 .5 yrs old. The photo was taken May 30, 2026. We attribute all the changes to the nutrients and balanced diet that she gets from her NutriCanine food, ( we order chicken, salmon, pork and lamb and rotate through these each month).

My Maltese has food allergies
My Maltese has food allergies. Nutricanine provides human grade dog food made with Salmon and Lamb which he is not allergic to.
His stool comes out good. They are convenient to store (frozen) and easy to serve. They throw in treats and a storage container to serve the food from.
I make dog food myself so my expectations are high. Nutricanine is the best unprocessed dog food I know.
My dog loves it.

Great food even for a picky eater
As my pug is a picky eater, it took me a while to find the right food for her. I went through countless reputable brands, tried the veterinary prescribed diet, and even cooked her food myself. When she first tried Nutricanine she immediately loved it, and has been eating it for over a year now. She also lost some weight just with the switch to Nutricanine. Very happy with the quality, and my dog is happy and healthy.

It is packed with healthy ingredients which you can see in the bowl- pieces of potatoes, rice, peas, blueberries mixed in with healthy, lean protein. My vet approves as do I. My dog is thriving. Nutricanine is the best cooked food!

My pup is …or more acurately « was » an extremely finicky eater…
My pup is an extremely finicky eater (maltipoo)….or I should say… « was » a finicky eater. Since we introduced NutriCanine, she jumps face first into her bowl and devours her meal. Her overall behaviour has also changed….she is back to being a playful puppy with a wagging tail. I was skeptical that food could do this, but I am now a believer. Top quality food, great customer service. I would highly recommend this Canadian company. We appreciated receiving a ‘little extra’ gift with each delivery. Also purchased the dental powder they sell as a food topper and our super fussy poodle didn’t mind it…dare I say liked it?

One of the best food out there
NutriCanine have been feeding our dog for more than a year now !
She was very selective on her meals but she has instantly accepted their recipes. Except the beef's one since the recipe has changed.
We wanted something made in the country with ingredients from here and without any additives or non natural ingredients as much as possible and NutriCanine was the winner !
The monthly subscription, the differents recipes and the fact that it could be mix up or change between every order is a real advantage that keep us using NutriCanine.
Except all that, some points need to be mentionned though :
- our dog did not like the new beef recipe since it has changed ;
- we had 1 or 2 orders that was delivered with late so it was all defrost but the customer service was quick and effective to replace them with no cost ;
- prices might seems high for most people but the recipes are made all natural, size for your dog daily needs and keep it healthier than all industrial other foods so it worth it in the end ;
If you care about your dog health, do not want to have issue in his/her late age, NutriCanine is one of the good alternative out there !!

Two Paws Up from Buddy!
We've been feeding our doodle, Buddy, NutriCanine since December 2024, and it's been a great fit. Like many doodles, he has a sensitive tummy, so we went through plenty of trial and error with different foods. Buddy was more than happy to oversee the taste-testing process. 🐶
We were looking for dog food that was gently cooked, nutritious, minimally processed, and free from unnecessary additives. NutriCanine checked all the boxes. We also love the convenient add-ons like treats, supplements, and even dog ice cream.
Their customer service has been consistently friendly and helpful, and as a bonus, they're a Canadian company.
Buddy has yet to write a formal review himself, but we're pretty sure a spotless bowl is the canine equivalent of five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🐾

Best dog food on the market for picky eaters!
We brought Buddy home from the breeder’s and tried just about every food on the market from kibble to canned, but he wouldn’t eat any of it. I used to cook food for my previous dog because he had so many allergies, but it was a lot of work that I didn’t want to have to do again. I started researching companies that gently cooked human grade food and found nutricanine. I was amazed at how many questions they asked about Buddy until I realized that they tailored his food for him and made sure he got the correct nutrients and calories to suit his breed and activity level to ensure that he got all he needed without extra calories that would make him overweight, which is a real problem with Pugs. When the order arrived, I put 1/2 the package in his bowl as directed but as soon as I peeled the seal back he could smell the beef and got up on his hind legs dancing around while I finished. He followed me to his feeding area jumping up and down trying to get his head in the bowl all the way. No wonder though. You can see the quality of the food and identify everything that’s in it. Ground beef, actual pieces of vegetables and no fillers or artificial flavouring. Finally we had found something that he would eat, but after about a week he started turning his nose up at this food that he was gobbling up just a few days before. I called Nutricanine and they were so helpful. They suggested that maybe his problem was that he got bored. After experimenting for several weeks, we finally came up with a plan that had Buddy eating everything we put down for him, including stuff that he had turned his nose up at weeks before. His problem was that he got bored the flavours easily so we now order every flavour they have but rotate them every day so he never gets a chance to get bored. I was worried that the company would get frustrated with me changing the order every time until we got it right and rushed deliveries so he’d have something to eat, but they never lost their happy, eager to please attitude! They provide a level of service that I thought was long dead with companies nowadays. Buddy & I highly recommend Nutricanine to anyone that wants to feed their dog real meat and vegetables that hasn’t been highly overcooked to the point of mush, like most dog foods on the market, at a reasonable price delivered right to your door!
