Excellent online experience with this company. Website easy to use and prices competitive. Order processed quickly. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong shoes and returned them via Royal Mail. Refund came through as soon as they arrived back with Northern Runner. Very rare to find a company which refunds with such efficiency. Hat tip. Will use again.

I have wide feet (2B) and they had lots of options for wide feet. I got very good discount on Brooks trainers. Fast delivery as well.

Refund in 1 working day! I was very impressed - sent parcel back on Saturday, received paypal refund confirmation at 2pm Monday.
The product and initial delivery were spot on too.
The only spot in the ointment was having to pay for return postage, but I can live with that with such excellent service

Delivery of boots was fast. The boots were faulty due to a manufacture fault but the staff were amazing at sorting it out. Chris responded to emails immediately and although the company couldn't replace the boots, i received a refund. Wouldn't hesitate to purchase from this shop again.

Have bought shoes on three occasions for Northern Runner, delivery and service always very fast and efficient. I've had to return a pair of shoes with a manufacturing fault to them before, they responded immediately and sent me out a replacement pair right away. Would not hesitate to keep on using Northern Runner.

Ordered a pair of Hoka Clifton 10’s. Best price I found online. Expected delivery 18th but arrived earlier than expected. On the 16th, signed delivery. Great email communication through purchasing process. Very impressed as a first time user of Northern Runner.

I ordered a pair of Hokas 13 weeks on the advice of a podiatrist as I have mild plantar fascitis, they recommended Hokas Gaviota 5 shoes (£135). I researched these myself and they are highly recommended for comfort for this condition. After 13 weeks of wearing them only for walking the wear on the entirety of both shoes is shocking, bald of tread in some areas and worn down most other places. I provided evidence of this to Northern Runner who dismissed this out of hand even when quoting the consumer rights act to them, stating they were the wrong shoes for me and I should get a 'normal' shoe they did everything to squirm out of a refund and provided the worst customer experience I have ever had. I have no refund or interest from Northern Runner. I will never buy anything from them again.

I am really impressed with this company. I have returned three pairs of walking shoes which did not fit. Refunds were made so quickly. If I go to Newcastle, I won’t hesitate to visit the shop. Well done!

I had a truly disappointing experience at this store. From the moment we walked in, we were completely ignored, despite the staff looking directly at us. We stood there waiting until a lady finally came out from the back and asked if we were being looked after. She was kind and took us aside to arrange a gait analysis, but things quickly went downhill from there. She asked a colleague, an older man with a bald head, to assist us. However, he seemed uninterested and told her he’d be a few minutes without offering any explanation or even acknowledging our presence.

Instead of helping, he busied himself with pricing items and stacking shelves. There was no communication or effort to make us feel welcome. After waiting around feeling completely unwanted, we decided to leave. The entire experience was a perfect example of terrible customer service. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
