So here's the thing - we've been renovating our nursery for what feels like forever (it's been three months, my husband would say I'm being dramatic, but he's wrong). We went through this whole phase where we couldn't agree on ANYTHING. He wanted modern, I wanted cozy, we both wanted something that wouldn't look ridiculous in five years when our daughter inevitably covers everything in crayon. Anyway, I stumbled across the Isar while procrastinating on Pinterest at 2am and something about that rounded ceramic base with the tapered fabric shade just spoke to me. The 4100K natural white was exactly what I wanted - not too warm, not that harsh daylight that makes everyone look slightly ill. At $235 I had to convince myself for about a week, but honestly? Best decision of this whole renovation. It's been almost a month and I find myself just... looking at it sometimes? The matte ceramic finish is gorgeous, the proportions are perfect at 21.6 inches, and it gives off this soft Nordic vibe that somehow made our whole color scheme come together. My one tiny complaint is the box was absolutely massive - took up my entire doorstep and I had to awkwardly shuffle it inside while holding my coffee. But that's literally it. My mother-in-law came over last weekend and spent ten minutes asking about the lamp, which is ten minutes she wasn't commenting on our paint choices, so really the Isar has already paid for itself in sanity savings.

Okay so I'll be honest — I spent probably four months just staring at this lamp on the website, adding it to my cart, removing it, adding it back. Buying lighting online felt genuinely ridiculous to me. Like, how do you know what the light actually looks like in your space? Photos lie. We all know photos lie. My sister bought a chandelier from some site a couple years back and it showed up looking like a prop from a community theater production, so I had reason to be cautious.

But I kept coming back to the Fira. Something about those clean lines just worked for what I was picturing in my entryway. I have this long console table near the front door that needed something with presence but not bulk, if that makes sense. Most floor lamps are either too fussy or look like they belong in a dentist's waiting room.

Three weeks in and I'm genuinely pleased. The metal construction feels solid — not flimsy, not hollow-sounding when you accidentally bump it, which I did twice while moving furniture around. The geometric shape photographs even better in person, weirdly. Warm light, good spread.

Minor thing: assembly instructions could be clearer. I stood there confused for about fifteen minutes before just figuring it out myself. Not a dealbreaker, just a small frustration. Four stars, would recommend.

I ordered eight Nordic LED ceiling lights from Nook Lights. The lights are spectacular, even more impressive than the pictures on the website. Their customer service is superb. I highly recommend Nook Lights!

I couldn't find exactly what I wanted for the track light for the new small worship room at the church plant. Very unique and great quality which was affordable. I had issue finding the track for this specific light but the customer service communicated in a timely manner and walked me through. I had to return one of the lights because I didn't need it and the return process was very easy as well.

Stay far away from this company. Bought a bunch of the “dimmable” recessed lights. First off they do not dim went back and forth with terrible customer service reps and never solved it. Then all the lights started to flicker every time they were put on. Since I’ve had the lights for over a month they refused to replace them. Absolutely ridiculous “company policy” to save them the hassle of dealing with their faulty products. Probably the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. They do not stand by their product and now I’ll be stuck paying thousands to have them all taken out. STAY AWAY and spend a few extra bucks with a different brand.

I ordered a small table led light that is meant to look like a folded book. It arrived absolutely soaking wet and predictably the person I gifted it to couldn't get it to work. This above and beyond "customer service" that reviews refer to told me that we had to try to charge it on a different charger (that they didn't provide) and then send video proof of it charging in order to get a replacement or a refund. When I went to their website to check on specs of the product, not only had this lamp disappeared, but their entire "table lamps" section was empty.

According to google maps, the address listed on their website (1975 84th Street, Brooklyn, New York 11214) seems to be residential. This is an indication a dropshipper, proof that we should never buy from a company who doesn't have public reviews on their website! The exact product I purchased can be found for half the price on B&N as well as plenty of dropshipping sites, so I clearly just got suckered in by the facade of legitimacy and higher price tag.

EDIT: The company has reached out to me (possibly via AI assistant) to try to get me to change this review. This indicates to me that the positive reviews found here are from customers who had to escalate their issues to this level and then agreed to improve reviews for replacement products and/or refunds. This is NOT an ethical way to run a business.

The question is 'What made your experience great'. The long answer is " customer service that is leaps and bounds ahead of practically any other company I have dealt with in a long long time". The short answer is 'Oliver'.

Do not be fooled by the Fake 4-Star reviews! This is not a New York based company, maybe an importer at best. This company represents cheap knockoff products directly from China. The quality is horrible, the products arrive with no instructions and no mention of Nook Lights. Any verbiage is in Chinese including the remotes we received with the fixtures. The specs online were completely off from the actual product, resulting in rewiring of our entire job. Oliver in customer service is an AI Bot. This was easily uncovered when we had issues by the canned responses. There is no phone number, address to this company which has to give you pause. Buyer Beware!

I ordered a lamp, and when it was delivered, the shipping company left it in the middle of the driveway at night. When I arrived home, I ran over it, damaging it beyond repair. I contacted the company, and they offered to send a replacement at no additional charge.

Absolute scam. Took my money and shipped an absolute piece of junk from China.

Nooklights sells electronics products/appliances that are Not U L Listed . Licensed electricians will not install anything that is not U L listed as the appliance will not pass inspection. This is a really unethical sales practice and feels like a scam. I cannot use these items and They will not refund my money. I would not do any business with this company. Buyer Beware!!!

There are every few companies that understand the importance of Customer
Service. NookLights understands the importance and goes the extra mile. They credited back by money and responded to my request in a timely manner. This was my first time ordering from this company and I will look at them in the future for any lighting purchases.

Customer Service has become a thing of the past. Nooklights takes it seriously. While I would have preferred communicating by phone, Oliver from customer service answered me promptly. I felt they went the extra mile. Though I haven't yet ordered any of their products, they look great, and the pricing is more than fair.
