I don't normally write reviews but I found the Nisba Academy course useful as a starting point to understand shariah-compliant investing.

It gave me the confidence to set up my pension and now considering other investments.

The founders are approachable and provide good aftercare support in terms of things to consider when you come to make your own investments.

I went into this course as a complete beginner, with very little knowledge about halal investing, so I genuinely didn’t know what to expect. What I really loved about the course was how approachable and easy to understand everything felt.

It was honestly such an eye-opener for me. I’ve come away feeling much more confident, with a solid understanding of the fundamentals and a much clearer idea of how to approach halal investing going forward.

I’m really glad I took the time to do this course. It’s given me a strong foundation to build on and has definitely made me feel more prepared to continue my investing journey. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who, like me, is starting from scratch.

I bought the Halal Investing book & believe it is absolutely essential reading for any muslim in the UK who wants to understand how to get into investing. Its very practical whilst still providing the conceptual knowledge to understand what you are doing. I have bought a few books before this one & it is by far the best I have read.

Although initially hesitant, I'm grateful that I had decided to take up the Nisba academy course. The delivery of the course content is made easy to understand regardless of whether you have little or no knowledge in shariah compliant investing. The support provided throughout the programme was great when it came to answering any related questions.

I would not hesitate recommending the Nisba programme to anyone interested to learn more about halal investing and how to practically apply the knowledge learnt into your personal life.

A worthwhile investment for YOUR financial future!

One of my goals for this year was to improve my financial literacy. I’d been following Nisba Academy for a while, so when I saw the finance course come up, it felt like it came at exactly the right time. I already had some basic knowledge and had started taking steps myself, but there were definitely gaps in my understanding and some decision-making paralysis. The course helped me understand the key concepts, connect the dots and, most importantly, reframe how I think about my finances more strategically. I came away with much greater clarity and confidence in making those BIG adulting decisions!

Ahmad and Adel were excellent teachers - knowledgeable, approachable and really good at breaking down what can feel like complicated financial topics into something understandable and practical. I particularly valued that everything was considered through the lens of Islamic finance, which can sometimes feel overwhelming to navigate on your own. The wider Nisba team were equally supportive, with access to 1:1 mentors and a WhatsApp group where we could ask anything. There genuinely was no such thing as a silly question (and I definitely had a lot of them!). Communication was great, responses were timely, and support always felt easily accessible.

The course is about empowering you with the knowledge and tools to develop your own understanding and make more informed decisions for the long term. It is an investment, but for me it was absolutely a worthwhile one, and I feel much further along in my financial literacy journey than I did before. A huge thank you to Ahmad, Adel and the whole Nisba team!

5 weeks to change your life

Taking academy course with Nisba has been an excellent experience. I’ve learned how various account types work, what halal investments look like in practice, and how different asset classes fit into a long‑term financial plan. This knowledge has helped me connect everything back to my own goals in a meaningful way. The Nisba team has been incredibly supportive from start to finish, making the learning journey smooth and enjoyable.

I have studied about investment in general for more than a year with a free course (Rebel Finance School) which was good but when it comes to Islamic investments, I was kind of stuck. I read blog posts like IFG, I opened an account with different platforms but never started any investment. Then I came across Nisba Academy on Reddit (have not heard anything about it before, weirdly!) and I decided to go with Nisba Academy and subhanAllah, the value that the team has given is worth every penny if not more. The learning objectives are very clear, the mentors are super helpful, very patiently holding the space for us to learn this complex topic. The whatsapp group is a great discussion platform. I am now more confident in taking actions to actually invest and alhamdulillah after 5 weeks with Nisba, I can see the numbers in my investment accounts going upward already! I would definitely recommend this course to everyone. I wish the Nisba team the very best and may Allah swt grant them endless rewards in this dunya and the next, ameen!

I was sceptical when I first started the Nisba Academy. I was not looking for knowledge, I was looking for implementation and the ability to invest with confidence.

The course is structured beautifully and takes you step by step so that you understand your financial situation and goals.

I feel that not only will I be able to invest with clarity in sha Allah, but I can also impart this knowledge to my family and friends.

I highly recommend this course to anybody who wants to get financially literate and start their investing journey.

I've personally done considerable research into the Shariah investment space and had I been aware of this course earlier it would have fast tracked my learning... Informative, course is at a good pace and the team are very responsive to queries as well as being readily available.

Amazing service, well structured course and provides adequate knowledge for a safe and halal start in this complex world of finances which was not designed for Muslims .

Adel and Ahmed have been nothing but outstanding. Their knowledge is broken down into small and absorbable chunks and they take you on the journey of understanding rather than throwing information at you. If you don't understand anything, they explain it to you in language that you can relate to. They are always keen to learn and improve on their offering, which is so refreshing to see.

Truly they are a shining beacon in a very murky world.

I signed up for the course as a last-minute decision after having such an excellent pre-course meeting with Adel. I had no plans to do the course, and at the time, the cost felt quite high for a short-term course. One thing Adel said really stood out to me: “We are an educational body. We don’t sell anything” (apart from their book, which is also educational!). That gave me a lot of confidence in the organisation and its intentions.
Alhamdulillah, I am so glad I decided to go ahead.
I still have a long way to go, but I genuinely feel the course has given me more confidence in my financial decision-making. It helped me funnel my goals, prioritise my spending, and make more informed decisions about which accounts to use and where to bank, with an actual rationale behind those decisions.
It can get quite technical at times, but the team is always there to help. There are no restrictions on asking questions or getting support. No question is too silly (believe me, there were some!). Every question was answered as though it was a serious and valid one.
Honestly, the support I received during and beyond the course made me emotional at times. I didn’t even know this kind of service existed. In a world where it can feel like everyone wants something in return, it was really refreshing to experience this genuine desire to help.
Whether it’s the email support, live course, post-course meeting, or the free tools on their website, it is clear what Nisba’s goal is: they want to see Muslims become better and more confident with their money.
I wish I had done this course in my 20s instead of my 40s! My whole financial trajectory would have been different. I feel happier knowing that my children now have access to better information to help them make better financial decisions without the need to compromise our Islam.
I would happily recommend Nisba to anyone and would love to see more Muslims become financially literate so that we can be wealthy and stay away from interest at the same time. It starts with knowledge, then action.

My husband signed me up for Nisba Academy. I literally had no idea about finances, never mind Islamic finances. The course gave me a superb understanding which I have now been able to implement on behalf of myself and my children. I have been able to productively plan for the future and no longer worry about pensions etc. I have even set up pensions for the kids!

The Nisba team were lovely to deal with, humble guys. No question was too silly to ask. They are all very approachable and an accessible team. They are still assisting our cohort after finishing the course. For someone like me who needs a bit of reassurance, this has been great. May Allah reward them for their superb efforts. I would definitely recommend the course to others.
