I have spent a year asking for my account to be deleted, each time they say they will and do not delete. Worse, I recently found out they sold my data. DO NOT SIGN UP ,EVER!

Don't get tied up in taking out ads in Nextdoor. It is truly a scam. The platform is difficult to navigate, and the lack of clear analytics is confusing. I was charged for a bogus amount of "impressions" for an ad. If there are any class-action lawsuits against Nextdoor let me know.

Be careful if you try to advertise on Nextdoor. Nextdoor changed its business ads policy starting from around July 2025. Now they charge me about 200 CAD every week:))
Their business ad pricing is nowhere to be found. The ads are not effective, with almost no clicks, but they are charging for performance ( views) instead.
My bad, I wasn't careful enough when I joined their ad company.

I reported a pedophile who moved into our neighborhood and was suspended for “not using my real name.” My account is linked to my email which included my first and middle name. I have ZERO problem sharing my legal name, but it’s interesting you try to keep your children safe and this is the response? What a joke.

Nextdoor car consistently fails to follow its own guidelines. Moderators are mostly tolerant of politics that do not fit their guidelines. Removing a post is generally done by penalizing users the moderators don't agree with and not based on their own guidelines. I reported many posts that were national politics and they remained on the site for comments. Very, very critical of center and center right views even when they are based on facts. There were also users communicating with others using short responses that many didn't understand... Nextdoor allows this to take place when honest and open communication should be the norm.

They deactivated me because I would not upload personal information and DL etc. They are data driven and a big censorship organization. There is no privacy at this site. It is AI driven so you get what you don't pay for.

No two sided conversations on this app admin ban for voiceing your view no idea why people use it

Our business had over 45 favorites this year, massive engagement and recomendations from the community.

My friend company that he shut down in 2022, and never made a post, or was on nextdoor but had 3 favorites around 2021 managed to win the 2025 best of next door award. A few of the companies did. Wish I could put photos here showing it.

They are impossible to do business with, they charge you without warning, they may have some impressions, but the results are not anything. After a number of months, I received zero calls, emails or texts. And then they charged me without warning, and would not refund me after I finally had to write to technical support in order to quit them and it took them 10 days to respond. By which time they said the ad had been running so no refund. They are just worthless. I am so sorry I ever got involved with them.

I provide very important information and support for our neighbors every morning. Unfortunately, there are moderators that are very bias towards conservatives views.
My account was suspended once again because of a post where I clarified a false statement by another user. Along with a link proving my claim.

Next door is the most unethical company I’ve ever had experience with. They actually are using AI simulators to create thought-provoking subjects to defraud their advertisement by inflating their membership numbers. They’re a fraudulent company and they’re gonna get caught with their pants down here real soon so about my company you need to be careful with your money because once you pay them and they are shut down by the federal government you’re out that money Just look at their site. It’s Ludacris. It means nothing to a neighbor yet all you advertisers are flooding it with the lack of knowledge that they have almost below one review writing and you give them your money thinking that you’re reaching the neighborhood and you’re only reaching simulated AI Shame I hope soon they get shut down legally

Next Door is not a good app. My biggest complaint is they allow posts that promote one side of an issue but remove any posts that are on the other side. Political statements are okay if they express one extreme. Religious comments are removed but anti- religious posts remain. Horrible epitaphs are okay, but bringing up a local issue like a high school teacher being reassigned for a comment he made about Charlie Kirk is removed and the writer’s account is suspended because bringing up that fact apparently isn’t of interest to the local community.
To summarize, Next Door is censored by biased, irrational “neighbors.” No thanks.

The moderation is poor; done retroactively, instead of proactively. inflammatory posts are left to poison the site until someone clicks the "report" button, the response time to which can be days. This has created an atmosphere of hatred on the site.

The chatbots, adbots, romancebots, begbots, GoFundMebots, dataminingbots, scambots...all running wild.

The AI that posts news stories to engage people in conversation is insane. Inflammatory news items about sexual orientation, items to offend religious people, political news... Again, the moderators/review team only seem to check in every couple days

The AI loves news stories that use pictures of car accidents. To get a conversation started, AI will ask: "what do you think about this car accident?" ... "A teen was killed walking across the street, what do you think about that?" (We think you're a sick freak)

I will wager there's a story like this in every city: someone will create an account, advertising cheap "handyman services". Use a burner phone for contact purposes. Collect cash in advance for a task, then disappear. the victim was shocked! Because this was a "friendly neighbor they met on the next door site". I'm imagining a network of people, statewide or even Nationwide, aided by ND to scam people. A Paranoid person would think ND is getting a percentage for finding victims

My personal aggravating story: new account, posted a picture of "a product they just bought", how happy they were, and here's a link so you can buy that product... I reported the post with links and screenshots proving this was a scam website selling counterfeit product. my report was rejected, because the post itself looked innocent enough. A paranoid person would think ND gets a percentage of the scam

I was banned for posting a verbatim report from the Senate Committee hearings about the Jan. 6, 2020 riot at the Capitol.

Nextdoor of highly left wing Dem. Conservative postings get flagged and removed. I left Nextdoor for this reason and recommend you not use this awful app. It really sucks.

what the hell is wrong with all these websites? I ran ONE ad, 93.00 - got nothing from it. and like it is across the entire internet these days, even Nextdoor, is pulling the same dam thing. they take your money, then automatially sign up up for a subscription! then you can;'t reach anyone. they have zero phone contact, and when you try to hit the help button or contact button it just takes you to a series of articles. I spent hours trying to find the " right' cancel scenario. this has to stop, this whole subscription bs. I can't even find a link anywhere that could lead me to an email directly to this so called company! they are the worst.. stay away. go find some human being to sit at starbucks to visit other people.

If I could give this site zero rating I would. All they have on that site nothing but Debbie Downers and they talk about the most depressing stuff all the time.
I have no clue what spam is ,im not an experienced website builder I just built a very basic website.
i just have one of those google site that I built very very basic but I do have good reviews i have a cat walking business and I just added on the laundry service and I had the laundry service advertised on next door. Yesterday I received An email from them saying that They remove my site because they said I had multiple posts and I don't know what they're talking about. that I ask people to stop talking about such depressing,Stop that let's talk about something happy and people were happy but there was one woman whose name I won't mention cuz I can't that complained. They said that I was doing multiple posts which I was because I wanted to make people happy I want them to smile I wanted to talk about happy stuff. Also they never even bothered to look at my two websites and ever came on trustpilot here they'd see I have good reviews on here for my cat walking business,They'd also see I have good reviews on Yelp,And a couple of other sites,There's not one bad review about me at all anywhere. They never even bothered to look into that at all they just blatantly accuse me putting spam,like I said in the beginning of this post I have no idea what spam is i have no idea how to put spam out there i don't send out emails to customers I don't do any of that i just post my sights in different places and that's it ,that's all I do like any place I can advertise is the only places I put my site. another thing that I didn't like,Is that,There's a woman on there,That was talking about some guy's dog its guess getting Out or he was letting it out it was something like that, and I can't believe that this woman physically Put his home address on there leaving him vulnerable for any Horrible person to come and attack him or harm him.It bothers me that someone would do something like that and yet they pick on me after I told them about it they don't even bother,To look into that,it also my thing is before they start pointing the finger at me,They should turn their hand around and see who it points at best.Because I've done nothing wrong.They need to get off of the internet
