The website should be fined or banned.

This site/app feels like a joke, a prime example of biased and poor moderation. If I had to sum up Nextdoor in one phrase, it would be: social media for boomers. Most posts are bland and uninteresting, but that’s not even the main problem. The moderation here is awful. In my area, nearly all the moderators are openly Reform UK supporters, and if you say anything even mildly critical of Reform UK, your post gets removed or closed. Meanwhile, blatantly racist comments like calling Green Party supporters terrorists or claiming a city will become a caliphate without Reform UK control are left up. If you complain to Nextdoor customer service about this, you just get a generic email telling you to contact the moderators!!! The very people causing the problems.

Absolutely terrible service ,They have standard checks to make it nearly impossible to confirm a business on there you own...I am a one man band ltd company .I have provided many times documents to prove who i am yet they have stalled all day to make my advert live with ridiculously stringent rules that make it impossible to get through the checks. The customer service people dont care ,,,,its a terrible platform dont waste yout time !!!

I am finding that my posts are being removed due to biased preferences by admin /moderators & Bullying irreverent comments that are directed at me are NOT removed or taken down due once again to biased choices by admin in MY village to turn a blind eye . Imo this platform is NOT a safe , impartial website & is getting worse . Such a shame , but there are other platforms that DONT tolerate Bullying or hate & I'm admin on a few so that's where I'm giving my attention going forward .

I have been in Nextdoor site for a few years. Suddenly I was suspended for standing up for old aged pensioners. Can’t remember what it was about but I wrote it’s not the oap, it’s the people who don’t work and receive benefits we have contributed for our pension. True statement but suspend as someone reported it. What a load of rubbish.

Woke website with woke moderators that do not respect free speech or a different view, if you do follow the left ideology they ban you, such a shame as in principle it could be a decent site, don’t waste your time with this site

Nextdoor is unable to verify my new account after days of waiting. Not worth bothering with.

I had my account suspended as I have been through domestic violence, so for myself and daughters safety I cant have our surname displayed.
The ladies I spoke with, Mary Jane and another women doesnt care at all, just kept quoting it was needed to build connection.
Yet when a women was sending me threats on her site they didnt care at all.
I then asked them to close my account altogether but they said they have to leave it open for 3 years until they can. Utter rubbish and infuriating.
For women I thought they would be more understanding but they are not and its all just numbers. They care more about knowing people's personal information. Very worrying

I think this company is posting locations for businesses on Google Maps. We have a business called Aurora hair and wellbeing studio posted right outside our house in the middle of the street. When I googled the mobile telephone number 07912 536410 it links to “Nextdoor” and is listed as a mobile hairdresser called Kerri-Annes mobile hairdresser based in Pontypool. Well I can tell you I don’t live anywhere near Pontypool so why is this business listed outside my house?

Posts by members vary from trivial to useful or informative. The discussions are sometimes lively. Trying to get in touch with Next Door concerning a problem with the site? Forget it!
Next Door keeps inviting me to have a Business Page. I've tried several times and given up. It doesn't work. e.g.one time my application came to a halt when it wouldn't let me enter my location. Another time I successfully uploaded an image but it wouldn't accept any of the passwords I tried. Including some suggested by Next Door. Every one of them supposedly already in use. What a waste of time

Full of people that keeps begging for job for money and lots of unsavoury characters...however, if you advise people to go and find the jobs one is in danger of being suspended.. absolute waste of space .....

I reported illegal selling of fake foreign tobacco, that had been going on for a year with multiple posts the adverts were put up by two different people with different reasons for selling the tobacco.
I received constant abuse and threats on my life which Nextdoor did not remove posts or cancel the accounts.
I have taken it to the police and have a crime number, still no response or care for others safety regarding fake tobacco sales or the threats against me.
Moderation is extremely poor especially over a weekend, no real support of care to community which makes it a seriously very dangerous site.

All of a sudden suspending the account due to ‘last name’ after complaints raised against an app user . The real reason would have been due my complaint but they have used this excuse as it clearly wasn’t picked up before.

I'm inundated with emails from this shower. I've tried to unsubscribe on numerous occasions with no success. Spam.

If I could give a zero rating, I would.

During the course of this week, I have discovered, through my own research, that a fictitious user who has published a photograph of themselves that is at least 45, if not 50 years old is trolling the site making toxic input, engaging in inflamatory dialogue and then using said dialogue to permanently ban the user from the site. I have also found that this is not necessarily one person, but may be several individuals working together to target specific members for harassment and abuse that may be damaging to their standing within the local community.

In one case an elderly person was targeted by another member and their followers to abuse and harass the elderly person. That person has a criminal record for their activities against the elderly person from over 12 years ago, and had been instructed by the local police not to contact them. That instruction was repeatedly ignored. It is possible that this individual is still actively abusing and stalking their "victim" by whatever means possible and for no good reason. They were certainly very active on Nextdoor and involved family members and others.

Negative, harmful and defammatory input is permitted to run for considerable lengths of time.

A post regarding targeted abuse by several members of Nextdoor was made by the elderly person to alert the community to the abuse and threats made against them. Of course, none of the abusers were identified by name and the elderly person concerned, never would consider such foolishness. Amazingly, all abusers spontaneously came forward, making further abusive input and at the same time, revealing their identities as the abusers. Why? I commented on their extraordinary behaviour and reminded them that I had not named any of them, and queried why they had self identified.

A recent request for a Subject Access Request (SAR) was made. The results were pathetic and did not give an accurate record of the individual's history on the site. Nextdoor is required to keep data for three years. The SAR spanned, just two years. Biased, abusive, defammatory, aggressive and inflammatory two way dialogues were omitted, giving just the responses of the targeted person that further biased their profile.

The fictitious member used by Nextdoor members to ban the elderly person from the website had cited three dates that the member had been banned in the past. That individual was nowhere to be seen, and neither was the input. Why? The member had not been banned in the past, but had left the site due to the highly toxic behaviour of some of the members.

Avoid this dreadful website as it is highly compromised and quite toxic.

NOTE: Nextdoor has an history of ignoring Trustpilot reviews and not responding to the hundreds of negative reviews. Why? This is a sad reflection on what should be a positive and friendly local community. It is not, and the two executives are both based in the U.S.

ALSO OF NOTE: The address given on this website is inaccurate. The address shown on Companies House, is: 12 New Fetter Lane, London EC4A 1JP. Two officers: both female and residing in the U.S.A. So, who is present at the Fetter Lane address? More to the point, are those two persons still with Nextdoor?

Numerous resignations and the two women were appointed in May 2024 and September 2025 respectively.

Little wonder that this website is running out of control.

Truly awful website. Avoid like the plague. Once on you will never stop being pestered with emails. I've even had an email conversation with their customer care and 5 months later they start coming again.

This is about the U S app, Oregon specifically. Many complaints by me about this app. It’s all a fake. The people all are afraid to criticize, they are controlled in this highly joke of an ap. Sensitive folks reporting anything they find offensive. Just remember, even if you’re offended, I don’t care. It doesn’t make YOU right! Censorship is bad there. Scammers are excessive, advertisements are excessive, people begging and bumming .. enablers galore( who need to get a life). Not an overall useful app by any means. Not an organized app either. One of the worst for crybabies.

Unfair and biased moderating of neighbours. But they are ok with the countless con men on there with no real qualifications and fraudsters. These people disabled my account and told me my name wasn’t real. After I shortened my surname and added a ‘Miss’ this when I saw 100’s of neighbours with real life dodgy names.
Terrible site should be abolished!

Nextdoor when I pointed out to them that a group on their platform was not working properly, because the function for leaving this particular group wasn't available, I told I selected(cash-in-hand) job by mistake whilst trying to navigate their site which to be very blunt is not layout well or clearly for newbies, but reporting my issues of not wanting to be part of the (cash-in-hand) jobs seems to annoy Nextdoor, rather than removing my listing manually from their admin site, they just placed suspicious activity detected on my account, making it impossible for me to use the site at all, all attempt to try to resolve this fell on deaf ears with Nextdoor, my listing is still showing up in Google search on their site, and tonight I found out my Nextdoor account is indefinitely blocked for breaking their rules, reading up online about Nextdoor has revealed that my case is not an isolated issue, 1000s of people have similar issues with Nextdoor, so my question to trading standards and other relevant uk authorities which allow companies to operate in the UK market, is it lawful for companies like Nextdoor to target me and others like me for punishment and discrimination because I don't want to do (cash-in-hand) jobs??????
Is it Nextdoor policy to force people to do cash jobs or is it just some employees on Nextdoor doing this of their own backs??????
SURELY IT MUST BE AGAINST UK LAWS FOR THIS PRACTICE TO BE TAKING PLACE, AND IF IT IS, WHEN WILL AUTHORITIES INVESTIGATE NEXTDOOR???????
