I absolutely loved the NHC diploma course. It was incredibly in‑depth and far exceeded my expectations, not only covering core nutrition but also study of herbalism, iridology and TCM, a real grounding in holistic healthcare.

The tutors were brilliant and supportive, and the student community made the whole experience even better. The clinic weekends were a real highlight, getting to observe and take part in practical clinic work, was great for confidence building.

The course has been genuinely life‑changing for my own health and I have now set up my own private nutrition clinic. The course is great value for money, flexible enough to study while working. I’d wholeheartedly recommend.

I have just completed the Nutritional Advisor course. It's a really well put together course. The assignments are challenging but they help to really make the knowledge stick. My tutor Sam was very supportive, knowledgeable and friendly. It's mainly an online course but there are opportunities for in person events. There are monthly zoom calls where all students are invited. Caroline, the principle, is very knowledgeable I was lucky to see her at work during an in person event where she worked with volunteer clients in front of students. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to have a good foundation in nutrition.

Before choosing to study Nutrition at the Natural Healthcare College I spent some time researching various college offerings. I chose this course for many reasons, firstly it is accredited by the NNA (Naturopathic Nutrition Association), the course content was extremely comprehensive and the principal Caroline was very helpful and informative. Although the course was challenging at times, the level of support available made a real difference. The course is also great value for money considering the in depth course content, e mail support throughout and the one to one tutorials. I would recommend it to anyone considering this path.

This course is perfect for anyone interested in deepening their knowledge about nutrition, as well as digestion and blood sugar control. There is a lot of content and I would say having some knowledge of the human body would be advantageous, however, not essential. The college is small and connected, with lovely tutors who want to help you and want you to succeed. The material is very much paper-based, but with some podcasts and useful videos of previous lectures. If you are prepared to put in the hours and like this style of learning, go for it! I believe the college are in the process of updating some of their content, which can only make the learning better. I thoroughly enjoyed this course.

I have just passed stage 1 of my nutrition advisor course and am very happy. When I called the college and got through to Caroline before I enrolled, we ended up talking for half an hour, and she came across as very genuine and down-to-earth. I felt good and decided to go ahead with the course.

Throughout the course, Fiona (student support) was very patient with me and answered emails promptly, which was much appreciated. I have decided that I want to move to stage 2 and feel hopeful!

I thoroughly enjoyed studying Stage 1 naturopathic nutritional therapy. It is a challenging course with a lot of material to get through but well worth it!
I suggest taking part in as many extra tutorials as possible as it’s tricky studying alone and these really help. The college itself and the support provided is very personal and the team really are very approachable.
I want to thank my tutor Sam particularly for her attentiveness and encouragement along the way.

If you want to get into the deep waters of nutrition this course is for you. In depth knowledge, professional tutors, high academic level.
Be prepared for serious but very enjoyable studding.
I have done a few other nutrition courses, but Natural Healthcare College by all means is the best.

Before enrolling at the Natural Healthcare College, I contacted several naturopathy schools, but none of the conversations resonated with me—until I reached out to the Natural Healthcare College. The Principal, Caroline, answered my call and immediately put me at ease, addressing all my queries and providing the reassurance I needed. Our conversation confirmed that this was the right choice for me.

I enrolled without hesitation and began my course in December 2020. Every aspect of the program was thoroughly enjoyable, and I proudly graduated in December 2021. What set the Natural Healthcare College apart was the way they tailored the course to suit my personal circumstances. As a single mum, I found that the college's support system was invaluable in helping me balance my responsibilities, ensuring I had everything I needed to complete my studies successfully.

The support I received from my tutor, the practical tutorials, and the college staff was exceptional. This strong foundation has enabled me to confidently practice as a Nutritional Advisor, and I continue to receive guidance from the college. As a Health Ambassador for Southwark, this training has equipped me with the skills and knowledge to support both fellow Ambassadors and members of my community.

I'm excited to continue my journey by pursuing Level 2, with the goal of becoming a Naturopathic Therapist, and I look forward to further enriching my practice with the college's guidance.

I started my journey on Stage one of the Naturapathic Nutritional Therapy Diploma to become a Nutrition Advisor.  I was motivated to learn more to understand the fundamentals of healthy eating, healthy living and to support myself, friends and family. The course provided indepth learning through the modules, completing assignments, regular tutorials, practical skills days and  Podcasts.  

The course took much longer to complete due to personal circumstances and I was given the time and  flexibility I needed to take time out to focus on these. My Tutor was supportive and accessible. I  learnt a lot and look forward to continuing my learning on Stage two of the Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy Diploma Course. 

I have just graduated as a Nutritional Advisor and am very happy I chose this college. I did a lot of research beforehand and unlike other colleges which give you a very big hard sell I found NHC straight forward, honest and friendly.
The course was challenging but I found the one to one contact calls with tutors invaluable and also loved the monthly zoom calls with the Principal where we could discuss anything but also get support and meet other students.
There is plenty of online tutorials and also loved the 2 day practical skills course which again brought the whole course to life.
This course is excellent value for money and I am really looking forward to practising as a nutritional advisor and continuing on to stage 2 when I have had a little break.

I am just in the final stages of my Nutritional Advisor diploma. I started it a couple of years ago but due to unforeseen circumstances I had to leave the course. I looked at many courses before I decided to go with this one and for me this was the most flexible, value for money yet there is no question that the standard of education is high. I have dealt with the Principal on a number of occasions and have found her to be extremely fair minded, empathetic but strict when it comes to the marking of the assignments and the standard required - this is only to be expected from a fully accredited course. I was allowed to rejoin and have been supported all the way through. This college genuinely cares about its students and wants them to be the best they can be. There is a genuine pride in their work and this is what sets them aside in my opinion from the bigger and perhaps more well known colleges. Sitting in on a Clinical Practice Day was amazing. How a volunteer comes with a whole host of issues and diagnosed diseases and goes away uplifted and with a plan to help having fully understood the potential root causes of the issues. This is what I want to do and I am looking forward to starting Stage 2 in due course. My advice to anyone considering joining is to call and have a chat with them and you will quickly decide if its right for you.

Avoid NHC at All Costs - A Nightmare of an Experience!

If you're considering enrolling at the NHC, think again. My experience with this so-called educational institution has been nothing short of a nightmare. I strongly urge anyone considering this college to look elsewhere.

From the start, my experience with the NHC has been marred by unprofessionalism, incompetence, and blatant disregard for student welfare. The college seems more interested in taking your money than in providing a quality education or supporting their students.

Dealing with principal: The principal, a key figure at the NHC, has been particularly difficult to deal with. Her communication has been dismissive, condescending, and at times, outright hostile. At one point during the course, she even stated, "I cannot see how I am going to pass you," long before the course was complete. This statement clearly demonstrated a prejudice that negatively impacted my education and created a hostile learning environment. Her lack of professionalism and apparent bias raises serious concerns about the integrity of the grading process at NHC. Other actions included wrongful termination (without stating cause or highlighting any appeals process), making discriminatory comments about health issues I was facing.

The principal also demonstrated blatant disregard for policies and procedures, instead repeatedly saying that she would do what pleases her. Infact in any of the adverse actions the principal took against me, she did not refer to any policies and procedures at the NHC.

What is worse, when I filed a complaint against her, it was HER that responded to the complaint. You cannot imagine more that can go wrong at an educational institution.

NNA and GNC - A Failed Support System: When I sought help from the NNA and the GNC (bodies that accredit the NHC), I was met with more frustration. These organizations, which are supposed to uphold standards and provide oversight, seemed to just protect the NHC. Despite the significant issues I raised, including potential breaches of the National Occupational Standards (NOS), both organizations did little more than protect the NHC. The NNA, which removed my membership without due process, and the GNC, which refused to provide transparency regarding accreditation guidelines, have shown themselves to be utterly ineffective in supporting students.

It’s also worth noting that the principal openly admitted that the NNA and GNC are "run by volunteers who give up their time to promote Naturopathy, not deal with disgruntled students." This statement alone should be a huge red flag for anyone considering a program associated with these organizations. It highlights their inability to handle serious complaints and their lack of accountability, making me question the legitimacy of their oversight.

Retaliation and Lack of Accountability: What’s even more troubling is the apparent retaliation I faced after raising legitimate concerns. Instead of addressing the issues, the NHC, in collaboration with the NNA, seemed more intent on silencing me (by witholding my certificate) and discrediting my complaints. This behavior is not only unethical but also potentially illegal.

Final Thoughts: The NHC is a deeply flawed institution that prioritizes its own interests over the educational and professional development of its students. The lack of transparency, professionalism, and accountability, combined with a toxic culture of retaliation, makes this a place to avoid at all costs. If you value your time, money, and mental well-being, do yourself a favor and steer clear of the NHC. There are far better educational institutions out there that will treat you with the respect and fairness you deserve.

I decided to study with the Natural Healthcare College as I needed a college that was affordable (others seemed much more expensive) and one where I could manage the study around my work and kids. I also liked the fact that I did not have to sign up for 3 years. As I was considering a career change but wasn't completely sure, the Stage 1 Nutritional Advisor course gave me the opportunity to get a qualification and see if nutrition was something for me without the 3 year commitment. Plus the added bonus of a qualification from the first stage. While used to studying, the course was challenging (have a degree in international commerce and accountancy qualifications) but still found it really informative and enjoyed the learning, so much so that I have started Stage 2.
The costs were fully explained by email and a call informing me how they keep the costs as low as possible with any additional costs for help over and above to be payable. Thankfully with the detailed notes and tutor calls I didn't need any extra help.
I have loved attending the Clinical Practice days, which are truly inspiring seeing how people with so many health conditions affecting their lives can be helped. My advice would be to call the college and have a chat and then make up your mind. The college principal is really passionate and inspiring. Even if you only complete Stage 1 you will have a wealth of information for your own health.

Excellent course, clear instructions, encouragement and guidance from Tutors. Learning takes place through a variety of ways - which I found helpful to take in the knowledge and advice. I’m thrilled to have passed Stage One, and I can also see how much more I need to learn - so my path is now confirmed!

I'm at clinical practice stage atm and I'm really enjoying this course. I think it's reasonably priced, flexible, gives lots up-to-date, science-based info, and has very helpful tutors, especially principle Caroline that is literally mothering me. I have had a couple of personal issues and was given a lot of flexibility in many aspects. Even if its a remote learning, I've never felt like I couldn't reach and get more help. Yes, if you want a proper personal tutorial, you have to pay, but whatever questions I had, I've got answers for free even for my personal and family health issues, Caroline was always there spending her time trying to help. You have to pay only for extra clinical practice workshops, the man ones at clinical practice stage are included. I had to resubmit a couple of assignments and, yes, I had to pay for tutors spending extra time on them. It's a small college and the price is already good, they need to make sure our work is up to standards as they have go through accreditation every few years. I've never felt I was downgraded on purpose, and was always given lots and lots of detailed feedback and advice. The course is not easy, and requires quite a lot of time, effort and self organisation. I have learnt a lot and very happy with my choice

If you are looking for a small college whose focus is on people, and really helping you as a student get through to being a confident and competent nutritional therapist then I would highly recommend the Natural Healthcare College.

This was the only college where I could afford the fees but that doesn’t impact on the quality or standard of teaching. The course is self led so you need to be motivated, but the real benefit for me was that I could work through the corse content around work and family commitments. If you’re not sure whether to commit, just do the nutrition advisor course for the first year and then you can decide once that is complete.

The final year is 100% focused on clinical practice getting us ready for the real world. It is thorough, comprehensive and leaves me feeling confident and ready to go.

I can’t thank Caroline, and all the other tutors, enough for where they have brought me over the past 3 years, I can’t believe how much I have learnt.

I spoke to the Principal before I joined and she was very transparent about all costs and also the time needed to dedicate to the course. Stage 1 is a level 4 with level 5 elements and was not easy but I found the 1 to 1 contact calls with my tutor invaluable along with the group zoom session run by the Principal and Fiona who help with any aspect of the course and give us a lot of encouragement. The value for money for stage 1 compared to other courses is outstanding. I actually did fail one part of the course and as explained I did pay an additional fee to complete an additional case study but this was clearly explained and it was absolutely the right call and helped me complete the rest of the course and my exam. You get a lot of tutor input and I have learned so much from my times there. This is a college who genuinely cares about the quality of their graduates and the enrolment form which is only 2 pages long is absolutely Crystal clear on any additional costs. This is also clearly laid out in an initial email along with prices of books etc and also cheaper ways to go about sourcing. I feel ready to use my Nutritional Advisor in practice and am already saving up to do Stage 2 of this course. If you are not sure just pick up the phone and speak to them. there is never any hard sell and you can then decide if this College is for you.

The courses are mostly remote learning but do have minimum contact requirements with tutors and at tutorials.
You can do just the level 4 nutrition advisor course, or go on to do the much more in-depth nutritional therapist course. This is a very practical level 5 course which includes a year of clinical practice involving a lot of hugely useful and informative case study work with tutors who are also still active practitioners.
The feedback can sometimes feel hard – passing this course is no push-over – but it is always fair and constructive, and aimed at improving the way of informing and educating future clients.
I looked at other courses before doing this one and I am glad I chose the one I did. 4 stars rather than 5 only because the format of the course notes is a bit old fashioned, but I know work is already underway to improve that.
