Originally I paid for a whole windscreen replacement but when the fitter arrived he said that it could be repaired and he can organise the balance remainder to be refunded to me. The refund was in my bank account 3 days later.

All went very smoothly apart from the wipers, which I had also ordered to be fitted. Unfortunately, the wrong parts were delivered, so they could not be installed.

Simple and quick service
Small crack fix took 15/20 minutes and received call to say when staff were on the way to my booking. Easy and clear booking system.

Not the best level of service…
I had to return to have a piece of trim fitted correctly at the head office so was inconvenient. Also they left a lot of mess on my driveway when they finished the screen. Easy to book online and did not have to deal with my insurer at all which was good.

5 stars to the install team. I star for the back office team
5 stars. Very professional at their Swindon depot when it came to installing my new windscreen.
1 star. However, a complete shambles with their booking and back-office team. Took a week to get the right insurance and approval, so missing the original booking. Only to have the engineer arrive under the impression that it was just a stone-chip repair, not a complete windscreen replacement. On top of everything, because of the make of my car, I would not have been able to have a home visit; it would have had to be at the local depot.
Third-world problems, I know, but you did ask for my experience and opinion.

National Windscreens super seamless service
I was directed to National Windscreens from my LV Insurers, a seamless process. The NW customer service person was brilliant in checking, explaining and reassuring.
The National Windscreen operative came well within the agreed time perameters. He was pleasant and well presented, explaining the process and answering my questions clearly.
He changed my windscreen quickly and cleanly - thoroughly tidying up afterwards, and again explaining about the time needed for the glue to set.
(He had explained that he usually changed glass on large commercial vehicles and aeroplanes, so my Corsa would not present a problem!)
I would recommend him and National Windscreens to anyone.
