I was told it would take 4 hours and it took 3, which was handy as I was just hanging about in Preston as I didn't live in the area.

There was no where to park .I had to…
There was no where to park .I had to park on single yellow lines near to shop .
They didn't ring me to say work had been completed - they said they were too busy !
Fortunately they said it would take 4 hrs and i came back after 4 hrs ,it had been done at least 30mins before .
Apart from that staff were very friendly and they did a great job on my screen .

Fitting fine, booking process poor
The fitters in Preston were so helpful and good
The booking process online seemed efficient but it clearly did not adequately communicate with the fitters in the workshop as they had far too many jobs booked for them all expecting their windscreens to be done in the morning. I had travelled over 1 hour (another negative- too few locations so v inconvenient) so they kindly fitted me in as a priority

The technician was very efficient and friendly and the time taken for the work was excellent.
However it would have been better if an explanation had been given for a change in appointment time received by email/text less than 48hrs notice

Car off the road for almost a month.
3 cancelled appointments for replacement at home. By National
Eventually had to take the car to the Preston branch for a 9am appointment. Told replacement would be couple off hours. They would ring me once completed.
Rang Preston branch at 1pm ish no response my call ends up with central call centre they said they would chase it up but the vehicle was not currently showing the work had been completed.
Rang the complaint number (Tamworth) around 3ish they also advised the same as before.
Received a call from my complaint handler from Tamworth at 4pm ish to say the car was ready and offered me £50 for the inconvenience.
Frankly, I find your offer to be completely derisory and insulting to a customer. It does not remotely reflect the level of inconvenience, financial impact, or poor service I have experienced.
Would not use again.
Update
Looks like National use their response as a smokescreen. More than a week after responding to their response nothing!!!!!!
Must do better.

The service was good
The service was good, I had booked my car in for 08.30 but this was changed to a later time, but on the day the team got it sorted and my car was ready when I needed it by, so well done to the team in Preston

Really disappointing experience
Can’t fault the actual fitting but:
Three weeks for a fitting appointment.
Changed our booking time three times.
Customer service really hard to get through to.
Head office really unhelpful and impolite (sure they are the same office).
Preston depo dirty with toilets like something from Trainspotting.
In the future will defo reconsider not going with car insurance companies if they use National Windscreens

Avoid at all costs
Avoid at all costs. Had a confirmed booking for Monday 20th July pm, tracking link did not work and no one attended the appointment. Called head office at 4pm on Monday to find out what was going on, they couldn't reach the Preston branch but asked someone to call me back. No one did and it's now 4:30pm the next day. Have tried to contact Preston branch directly over 10 times today no one answers. Head office tried to contact Preston branch again, no one answers. Absolutely shocking service and never going with this company again.

Too many emails & texts from Head Office
Once I took my car to the garage they did a great and professional job. However, I was inundated with emails and texts once I’d made the booking and on the day of the appointment was contacted by phone, as the engineer was off sick, to ask to bring my car to the garage - they were proactive and I was able to do this and the job got done - but it would have been more convenient on the drive. Stop bombarding customers with email & texts from Head Office once the booking has been made.

My fitting times kept changing
My fitting times kept changing. The waiting room was very dirty, and the inside of my car was covered in black marks.
