We were met by pleasant man,booked in ,were told approx how long,showed were to get coffee and he would ring when ready,sure enough rang slightly earlier than said ,explained not wash windscreen for so long and we were on our way , couldn't ask for better.

After a poor start……,,
After a poor start where according to the technician it was Aviva’s policy not to repair the very tiny mark that was in front of the driver but did not impair the vision in anyway whatsoever. This was disappointing as both Aviva and National Windscreens had been given full details of the damage including location and photos were supplied. I had to stay at home for a whole morning waiting for the technician who took one look and promptly left giving the reasons above. Following several lengthy phone calls to both Aviva and National Windscreens I got nowhere as neither were aware of the policy as stated by the technician and was on the verge of going elsewhere when I phoned Northampton National Windscreens and spoke to the manager who agreed to send the same technician back to me. So after much time wasted and lengthy phone calls the minute repair was completed even though it did take most of my day in the end.

Didn't check delivery
Original appointment was originally cancelled. On arrival for the rescheduled appointment for 0830. I was informed that the windscreen has been damaged during delivery. Replacement was due between 1130 and 1330. Finally left at about 1430. Also the screen that was replaced was not like for like.

Lack of customer focus…
Because this company doesn't operate a proper appointments system, my car sat for 2 hours without any work being done on it. The remote location from the town centre and lack of a bus service meant I was stick there, just watching my car sitting in the parking area. Any company that is customer focused would make sure that a proper appointment system was in place to prevent such things.

Great fitters, tint too dark
I was very happy with the fitters that arrived and did the job. No fault there, their manner and time taken and end result. However the level of tint of the rear windscreen was not as expected. I did say it was tinted in the phone making the booking however the tint is much darker than previously installed. I can barely see through the rear now and it impairs my view significantly.
