Poor quality control
The windscreen fitted was scratched on the passenger side, which National Windscreens failed to spot before and during fitting. This meant I had to visit the agent twice, and will require a further visit to replace the defective screen.
I am still waiting for a date to have a replacement windscreen fitted.

Poor Communication, Long Delays & Inadequate Compensation
My experience with National Windscreens has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. Due to repeated delays and poor communication, my car was unusable for nearly a month.
I initially booked an appointment for 29th January, which was confirmed via email. However, on the day of the appointment, I received no update. When I contacted National Windscreens myself, I was informed—without prior notice—that my part had not arrived and that my appointment had to be cancelled.
Despite multiple follow-ups, I did not receive confirmation that the parts had even been ordered until 4th February. I was then told the earliest available appointment was 12th February—after my MOT on the 11th. Only after raising concerns did they manage to replace my windscreen on 8th February, but by then, I had already been without my vehicle for nearly a month.
Their offer of a 25% excess reduction as compensation was entirely inadequate given the significant inconvenience, lack of communication, and additional costs I incurred for alternative transportation. I also effectively lost a month of insurance coverage due to their delays. When I requested fairer compensation, they outright refused.
While my windscreen was eventually replaced, the overall experience was unacceptable. National Windscreens' poor communication, lack of accountability, and failure to deliver a reliable service make it impossible for me to recommend them.

Great service
Booking was easy and the website allowed me to change the date as needed. The service was friendly and efficient. I collected my car at the end of the day and paid my bill. I was given information about the repair and advice on cleaning the car.
When I went back to the vehicle I found a plastic part that had not been reconnected. The man was very apologetic and corrected this immediately. Great service.

Person who replaced the glass was excellent - friendly, positive, efficient and helpful, did a brilliant job. Only complaint is that 2 booked home visits were no-shows, I had to take it to the centre about 30miles away to ensure it was fitted in time, but once there it was an excellent service. New screen is immaculate.
