Unfortunately have had a really poor experience with this online school.

Screening reviews - be warned that TCES is taking lengths to challenge and screen truthful reviews based on families that experienced a poor educational rollout at TCES. Before considering this school, connect with the SEN whatsapp networks and facebook groups to connect with parents who tested this school and ended up on a backdated timeline of education due to poor provision at TCES online.

I currently work at NOS and the staff are absoloutely incredible! Both the teachers and team of therapists are very dedicated to supporting young people at the school and have the most patience, expertise and understanding!

Both of my children attended this school. My Son was there through years 10 and 11, when he arrived at NOS he had EBSA and was completely withdrawn from his education, written off by a school that didn’t want to support him and he wasn’t even leaving our house. Through his time at NOS he was shown kindness and support by teachers with a deep understanding of EBSA and of Neurodivergent pupils. He thrived here, he achieved GCSEs we were once told he would never get, and now he’s an outgoing confident young man who went into the world with all the tools he needed to succeed thanks to the schools approach and his teachers care and support. My daughter spent 6 months at NOS in her crucial year 11, she had 30% attendance in year 10 and in year 11 at her school and she too was broken by the system. In the space of 6 months running up to her GCSEs she was supported, cared for and given the education she deserved in the way that she needed it. She achieved 8 GCSEs all passed thanks to the hard work and dedication of her teachers at NOS. We cannot thank the school enough for everything they have done for us.

It's 5.30am in the morning, and we can't sleep due to the stress this school is bringing on this disabled family.
There is very little understanding on my Sons disabilities, and we now have to beg to get our son removed.
They have sent us threatening emails saying they will involve the police on his behaviours, but his behaviours are due to his complex needs, and they knew this when they took him into this school three years ago, because its on his EHCP.
I work with disabled children myself and am proud to say I would never add trauma to already traumatised individuals.
For anyone getting success from this placement, I'm happy for you, but for this family its total hell. I'm safeguard trained and am very concerned at the attitudes of senior staff, its very unprofessional. They have never been interested in putting right or attempting to attend a meeting to take our concerns on board. They only want to advocate for their school to draw money in. The phone is always thrown down on us, and my Son is at breaking point with it all.
He has 10 diagnosis and just one is autism, so he clearly needs to know the plans for the day in advance, but they can't even do that now.
If I can save another family from this total hell we are being put through, then please think twice about putting a vunerable child within this school. We need to safeguard our children.
I can prove all I'm saying here, so I'm not just writing rubbish.
They dont work with parents, and writing a threatening email to us expecting us to support them is un-exceptable after the way we have been treated. I have now shared this threatening email with the hospital.
If your kids are in this placement and you dont feel its right, fight, as the damage done to our children can last a lifetime for them.

NOS has been an amazing school for my child. They are able to do all the learning they would in a mainstream school, but from the comfort of home. The staff make regular contact and keep me up to date with what is happening. The therapy groups are also great for my child. They love D&D. We would be lost without NOS

We as parents have had to beg the local authority to remove our Son from this horrendous school.
They allow children to abuse staff, with no consequences, teaching our kids that it's okay to have serious behaviours. Our Son has ,10 diagnosis, and they have taught him nothing in 3 and a half years.
If you want respect from your children, please don't allow local authorities to spend the money for your child's education on this rubbish. This is no replacement for a proper school.
All my son does is talk abusive to staff, not lessons. They go against your parenting, and laugh at you when you are angry.
This needs to end.........

My child is learning very little, and gets told he's doing well.
I would never recommend this school to anyone. This is only for children who are academically able, and want to achieve.
There is a serious lack of information between staff, leaving my child misunderstood, when he's a seriously vunerable child.
He's also given very misleading information, causing frustration. We have had to call ofstead and the DFE to report them.
The school should be closed down.

As a parent of a child with additional needs, I had high hopes that TCES Online would offer the individualised and supportive environment they claim to provide. Unfortunately, our experience was quite the opposite.

The core issue lies in poor leadership and disorganised management. Communication was inconsistent and often unclear, with frequent changes and delays that left both us and our child in the dark. Promised support often failed to materialise, and there was a noticeable lack of understanding or responsiveness to individual needs and accountability for issues encountered.

I would strongly advise other parents to research thoroughly and consider alternative options before placing their child with TCES Online.
