I ordered my one month subscription because they didn’t have a onetime offer, I ordered it and I was trying to find the cancel subscription, but I didn’t so i thought it auto cancelled, one month later I was charged on my account, I called customer service and they said there was nothing I could do. VERY Disappointed

I've now been a subscriber to Mystery Tackle Box for six months, and it's totally changed the way I fish. Every box is like a present coming from the fishing gods, loaded with top, notch lures, hooks, and tackle, that I would not have chosen myself everything from unusual soft plastics to crankbaits at a professional level for bass fishing. The customer service team fixed a tiny shipping error very quickly, and the value is just right for the price. If fishing is your thing, you must give this a try.

I signed up for Mystery Tackle Box because I was interested in trying out new lures and gear without having to do all the research myself. The idea is great: you get a box of surprise tackle every month, and the first few boxes were really exciting and felt like great value. The lures were effective on the water, and the included tips along with the QRcode videos were a nice feature that helped me understand how to use some of the new baits.

Still, things got a bit annoying as I started to notice a drop in quality and value. There were times when the box seemed to have been stuffed with useful gear, but several times it was full of things I already had or simply did not really need, and the alleged 'over $25 value' didn't always correspond to what I found at the stores. Shipping was generally fine, but a couple of times the orders were delayed with no information given, and the staff was friendly but took a while to get back to you. In general, if you like variety and don't mind paying a little extra for the element of surprise, it is a nice subscription, but the lack of consistency makes me rate it only three stars.

While the product may be fine, I am dissatisfied with their customer service and the "subscription". I bought this as a gift and chose the one month plan, assuming it was a one time purchase due to the other plans of longer duration. I checked my profile on my phone to see if I had a subscription and there was no information on my page about it. Come to find out they only show it if you are on the desktop version. They charged me again a month later and I immediately contacted them back the same day asking to cancel the order and my subscription. I explained how my page never showed the subscription and even offered to return the order (that hadn't even shipped) to them and they denied every request and were not helpful or assuring at all. Scam! I will be disputing this further.

Girlfriend purchased the Saltwater Pro subscription for me, direct from the company. The first package arrived and it was all Fresh water lures. They claim this is saltwater stuff but beside a rubber shrimp nothing else is anything yiu wod want to use.ven the pics of the fish that you catch with the lures showed freshwater bass and trout. After reaching out to the company they asked her to take pictures of the box and the lures which she did. They responded that Trout are saltwater fish so they sent the right package. We asked to get a call back from the manager and was told only email correspomdense at this time..

This company used to be amazing, and the value of their mystery box was phenomenal! Now all you get is cheap garbage that I doubt is even worth the price paid. In short, they changed and I do not recommend their monthly boxes anymore.

Originally wrote a tough review about Mystery Tackle Box. They reached out to me immediately to discuss my dissatisfaction. Turns out the situation was more my fault for not ordering correctly. I dealt with a great representative who walked me through the process and they could not have been better. I actually should have reached out before reviewing. I am glad they reached out I am looking forward to my next mystery box!

I was going to buy my son this for his 21st bday and have a box mailed once a month for a year. However, I was promised a $10 off code if I gave them my email and phone but it wasn’t until after I did that that it said you couldn’t use it on a regular box. That’s really shifty business practice. I didn’t want to sign up for the whole year until I saw that it was worth the money so I was starting with buying just a month. Now I’m not buying anything all thanks to a false promise and code that doesn’t work. Upon reading reviews, I see I am not the first and not the only one with this same problem but yet you continue to do this shady business practice. That’s not okay and I won’t be back unless I’m shown yoh can suddenly be trusted.

I’ve used MTB for a few years now. The subscription boxes make great gifts and are helpful if you’re just starting your fishing journey. 10/10 recommend!

Love getting something new, the same ole wonderbread spinner day in and day out gets old. Nice to switch things up.

I’m catching a ton more fish

I’ve been using mystery tackle box for years now and it’s hand down the best fishing subscription on the market. The variety and quality of lures + detailed fishing tips make it something I look forward to every month. I’m constantly losing lures but my tackle box is always set up thanks to MTB!

Mystery tackle box was the perfect gift for my spouse who loves to fish!

All around 5 stars. Customer service is incredible, and I love the variety of stuff I get every month. Going to give it as a gift to dad for dads day!!

I got my friend a 3 month membership for a Christmas present and you guys kept sending him boxes after that. I went on and canceled it to stop the charges over a month ago and I just got a notification that you are sending another box to him. I want my money back and for you to stop sending packages.

The lures are good you differently get your money worth

I bought 2 of the regular boxes at dicks sporting goods and they had the exact same things and they both weren’t that good

Baits wasn’t that good

These used to come with links/videos explaining how to use the lures and gear. To my surprise, not any more.
