My Life in a Book was a gift that I mostly ignored until it was close to expiring. The company didn't bug me. They sent me the questions and let me choose what to answer. I added photographs and just before it expired, I submitted it. It was promptly printed and beautifully bound. It was then mailed to me in a timely and professional manner. I was just disappointed that I had not taken advantage of the opportunity to write more. I renewed the subscription so I could really enjoy the experience, and I plan on making my next book so interesting that my kids will be asking for copies.

Super helpful whenever you have questions and love the book. The website interface could be worked on as it’s a bit tricky to make changes and format the book but apart from that love it. Such a good gift

My daughter sent me a link to create a prepaid "My Life in a Book" for my birthday last year and it turned out to be a truly worthwhile, engaging experience.
Although I'd previously made several photobooks, I'd not known of this business or its products, so it was a complete surprise - but a very good one.
After the first few few weeks, during which I really was just "finding my way" through the concept and process, I became very interested and looked forward adding more material each week. The weekly questions were generally pretty well targeted, but I quickly discovered that any that didn't capture my enthusiasm could very easily be changed to suit my preferences.
It became much easier once I became more familiar with the process and software, so I looked forward to each week's new challenge.
You do need to dedicate the time to keep on top of it, because once you fall behind for a few weeks, it can be a minor challenge to catch up.
My recommendation is to contact the "Help Team" if/when needed. I found them to be very responsive, able to quickly steer me in the right direction and resolve whatever had me puzzled.
I think it was great to be able to add pictures as I worked my way through the book, as well as to edit or replace them later during reviews.
The finished, hardcover result is very good and I'm exceptionally pleased with the high-quality, professionally printed hardcover book.

This was a very worthwhile project. I now have a document in writing to pass to my children and grandchildren,and perhaps even great grandchildren. I would recommend any one to get in done it's important for future generations to know their family members story.

I have only good things to say about my life in a book.
My wife was bought one by our granddaughters, we found it very interesting remembering things that we had completely forgotten about.any issues we came across were soon sorted out by the very experienced team at my life in a book, we had some difficulty with photographs but the staff were wonderful and soon sorted them out.our six copies arrived when they said they would.
We were so impressed with the overall quality and helpfulness of the staff, my wife bought me a book to do for myself to complete.i am nearing the end of my book,so both my wife and I are looking forward to reading what I have written.when I have finished writing.

I was a bit leery at first when my daughter gave me this gift, thinking I wouldn't have enough to say, but lo and behold, I was struggling to keep the book down to 500 pages! It was a great opportunity to reflect on my life and share stories with my children. It pushed me to go through all of my family photos and it was wonderful that I could include images and text in the book. Customer service was great; I had several questions over the last year and they were answered promptly. The books themselves are high-quality, bound books. Overall, my experience was wonderful!

I thought it was a wonderful gift idea for my Mum and got her this for a Mothers Day. We are just at the final stage now and awaiting the book to be printed. Mum found the questions quite repetitive and struggled to answer a few. Unfortunately, there won’t be many pages to the book due to Mum skipping them due to them either not being appropriate to her life or not knowing they could be swapped. Still a marvellous idea and for those who are computer literate - it’s ideal.

Great gift and concept

I assumed that the tool will be easy to use for non digitally savvy elderly people but this was proven optimistic.

The questions can sometimes feel repetitive and/or not relevant.

But all in all a great idea.

This book was a precious gift from my beautiful daughter! I am behind in writing up my answers but a lot of hospitalisation has caused that. It is the most wonderful idea for my children & Grandchildren to have & keep for future generations to come! I will be right onto it next week I hope!

This has been a really magical experience. I really appreciated how we can edit questions, skip questions, give more time, etc. They truly allow you to make this YOUR experience. Would recommend for anyone.

I love writing this book. It made me think long and hard about my life. I only used a few of your questions but I did use some to give me ideas. My daughter wanted literally the story of my life so I did it as a time line. It a great idea, I will leave it for my children as a record of my life.

I was gifted this beautiful experience by my dear Son for my Birthday, at first I was taken aback haha what am I going to write I’m not a writer ✍️ but when I received the first question it made me happy brought me back to my childhood memories & that took off so very pleased I had this chance thank you Shaun my dear loving caring Son 👨🏽❤️
Title. Reminiscing.

The whole idea for a start is wonderful. It is easy for older people to manage and navigate and helps prompt memories.
We have not finished yet so have not seen the finished product, but can’t wait!

I bought the book subscription for my wife as a birthday present. The process of going through the questions, reminiscing and attaching pictures was a wonderful experience for her.
We did have an issue with the finished book arriving without printing on the cover and initially thought we had made a mistake. However, after contacting the support team it transpired that it was a printing error. Julia contacted us immediately, investigated and assured us that it would be put right. We then received notification that the book re-print had been expedited and, true enough, received the finished copy very promptly. Julia was very apologetic and I have to say that the customer service was superb.
The quality of the book is excellent and I would have no issues recommending this experience to anyone.

This was bought for me by daughter following the birth of my granddaughter. Generally It has been good experience to write things down for my granddaughter, although I have found some of the questions a bit 'samey'.

Totally love the idea of getting this story made. I can’t wait to see the full book. I wish I had made more effort in changing some of the questions as my elderly parents found some questions hard to answer either by understanding or memory.

When my children gave this to me for Mother's Day 2025, I felt, wow, that is a lot of memories. I was so excited to get started.
I found that the questions were repetitive at times.
Had to ask about how to do the front and back cover.
I want my book to look good and read well. It has been a wonderful experience.

Amazing. Great gift for my dad and father in law. My father in law has fully embraced the experience and has found it a lovely thing to do dedicating time each week to look back on his life.
