It is always nice to be in the right, and it looks like the general consensus on this truly pathetic offering agrees with my thoughts. It must be really cheap, because it is truly useless, but then the group controlling the school my son goes to is only interested in money, so the kids can suffer as long as the company is raking in as much as they can, and spending nothing on boring stuff like this. Most people thought the previous system was nothing to write home about, but we know better now. Utterly counterintuitive, slow and literally completely missing aspects that previous systems included.

Both the app and website are shocking. The service is great, but it rarely loads or it takes agggessss to load. The app is rubbish, crashes a lot. The website just hangs and times out.

Been like it for years, can't see it improving.

I don't receive notifications from this app, I miss out a lot of what's going on, I've got my settings set to messages and don't receive anything

Absolutely terrible app & website.
Needs so much technical work.
Website & App spins when loading.
Homework, if more than 1 attachment, cannot select and view each item.
No further details shown that teachers have apparently written with regards to merits / bad points.
Had this since October, wish they had stuck with Satchel!

I love using it. I love seeing how my daughter is doing at school and any upcoming homework. Booking and paying for school trips is easy, and topping up money on my daughter's account for dinner and seeing what she spent it on.

App is not really fit for purpose. It's glitchy and now crashes every time I try to read a message. As another reviewer said, I can't stop the dinner money balance messages even though my child doesn't have school dinners. Why on earth schools pay for this app when the reviews are uniformly awful, I don't know.

One star is too much for this system. Message area littered with notifications to top up accounts for lunch money! My boys take packed lunches and there is no way to indicate this to stop notifications.

Very slow! Am unable to get a simple download of a timetable for each child! Clunky no ability to feedback issues.

Is far quicker to access messages from school via email as opposed to logging into the app, selecting messages then cIicking the one visible message (possibly having to scroll up to see new messages if more than one)

Have now silenced all notifications and am seriously considering deleting the app totally. Arbor had its issues but this system is in no way fit for purpose!

Dreadful app. School went from class charts to MCAS. Rubbish. Doesn't notify announcements properly. Doesn't allow kids to receive announcements from the school like class charts did. Buggy, slow and pretty much pointless

Cheap and tacky!

Very slow to load, the app is even worse and will not download on everything.

Bring back the days of planners!

Absolutely dismal. Their infrastructure is obviously utterly inadequate.. both the app and website are excrutiatingly slow.

If an app takes 25 minutes to log in and then further 1-5 minutes every time you change the page, is it any good? Whom ever decided to switch to this app must have carried out zero due diligence.

App works 5% of the time, when it does work it is as intuitive as a chocolate fire guard. Can't add cards for payment on the payment screen, so how can I pay?

Always down and like using software from windows xp! Absolutely useless! Try to add monies into school diners account , reminds to select type of payment , however it shows no options and cannot even type options in!! Absolute waste of space and another show of how the government are either cutting costs or pocketing from the system !!

This is possibly one of the worst apps I have ever had to use. It constantly logs me out doesn’t let me even use the app sometimes because it forgets my passwords. I’ve had to change my email address on the app three times. I’ve changed my password around 12 times and it still does not recognise any of my information. I wasn’t able to see any of my sons end of year reports last time I haven’t been able to top up his dinner money for the last six monthsthis app is useless. Do not use it. It’s crap.

The bit I have to interact with is dinner booking. Not only is require lots of extra clicks to get where you are going, plus it requires credit added, it doesn't confirm changes of meals. Terrible usability. Open it up to check what is for lunch tomorrow, accidentally click on "pasta" and exit and your kid is stuck with a plaste of soggy yuk. Also doesn't show you what you have purchased in terms of extras so you have no idea if the frantic "pay for the school disco now" messages apply to you or not.

Literally the worst platform I've ever had the displeasure of using.
My daughter's school recently switch from what I thought was a pretty shocking communication platform, to this absolute monstrosity. The functionality is just awful and the overlay looks like it was knocked together by a Y7 student learning python. Cannot wait for her to graduate to secondary School where they use Class Chart, which a superior in every way!

Awful app. Named school has ditched Satchel One (amazing) and gone for this App instead. 500 positive behaviour points cut down to 233 (prize at 500). No support for the students or instructions given. Now can’t monitor Homework as only teacher names are given and not the subject. 30 points of English Bedrock complete but still shows incomplete. You can’t get rid of completed homework without attaching a file..!! Probably a cost cutting exercise when comparing the cheap interface. Harder for parents to monitor the children. 👎

Sadly cant give this zero stars, truly awful platform, I can't believe schools actually pay for this. I have to use a laptop to pay for things as, when viewed on a mobile, part of the frame covers the checkout button. Being mobile friendly should be step 1. Who puts a scroll bar on the left of a column?? The best thing about my daughter leaving school? Never having to use MyChildAtSchool ever again.

Useless product and app cant even add dinner money to my sons account

There have been constant issues with the app since we got it and no way as a parent to log issues with support. The latest problem is where multiple announcements come through on the same day, you read the first one and all subsequent ones disappear. Sometimes they reappear days later but generally they are just lost. Same problem on the web log in and via the app.
As a parent it is difficult to use, the UX is pretty awful, and as soon as one problem is fixed, another one appears.
