Love my Birdbuddy!
There was a problem with my camera and the Birdbuddy support team was very responsive. They diagnosed my problem quickly and had a new camera sent to me right away. I am loving watching the hummingbirds coming to my Birdbuddy. Being able to see my feeder visitors up close has been spectacular.

Graceful customer support
Even though they didn't have to, the folks at Bird Buddy replaced parts on my feeder that squirrels had broken when I inquired about buying replacement parts from their website. They reached out to me, and the only thing I had to do was email photos of my broken parts in reply... they took care of everything quickly and with me even needing to ask.

Solar panels stopped working within the first two months
My Birdbuddy was a Christmas present (2025) and I was so excited to use it. Installation and integration with the app was easy. The solar panels worked to charge the Birdbuddy for a while (giving very clear photos), but then stopped working, within the first two months of use. We went through the troubleshooting steps online with no improvement, and then contacted customer service. They had us go through the troubleshooting steps while they monitored remotely, but there was no restoration of the functionality that we had enjoyed at first. We concluded that the solar panels were bad, or the unit was bad. Customer service kept telling us to repeat troubleshooting steps we had already done, before ceasing communication entirely.
I can’t recommend Birdbuddy. It worked great for a few weeks, then stopped, and customer service didn’t have a solution that worked.
Edit, after BirdBuddy responded: We thank you very much, but at this point it has been approximately 8 months of no progress. I don't have the appetite to continue hearing instructions from Customer Service for things that we have already tried. It was clear to us that the unit went bad, or the wiring failed, or the solar panels failed, and the failure (in whichever system) occurred quite early on in our possession of the BirdBuddy. If you are interested in reaching out privately, Michael Hood was the original purchaser.

After several emails, my problem was resolved. The experience would have been better had they provided an option to actually speak with a technician on the phone.

Update on my Solar Roof
Just an update. My bird buddy was not charging. Worked with the team trying different things, and ultimately, it was determined the solar roof had gone bad. Experience was great working with the team. Subsequent to my adding my name to the wait list for a new solar roof, I removed the existing solar roof from my bird buddy, and made sure it was clean underneath, and the wire was not kinked. Put the solar roof back on, and lo and behold, my solar roof starting charging my camera module again.
