I came across this device in the Supplement to a Sunday Paper. I took it on a short trial, but was not sure about it because I am tall (just under 2m). However, Kristen from BackHug gave me a follow up call to see how I was getting on. So I followed her recommendation regarding set up, and after a few sessions I was convinced. I signed up for an annual subscription. The flexibility to use it any time without having to book an appointment or brave the traffic and weather is a game changer. It is not a miracle cure, but it made a huge improvement to my quality of life. I used it in combination with Pilates (floor-work) and some other remedial exercises. My hours of uninterrupted sleep increased. My range of movement improved. I resumed working out.

BackHug is truly a game-changer: brilliant app, great design, fantastic customer service, and everything you want a product to do / a company to be. I’ll be recommending it to all!

The Backhug has been working wonders for my back problems.
Have been using it on a daily basis for more than a half year. The massage/physio therapy “sessions” feels great, and the constant lower back pain i have been suffering from for more than a decade, are not constant any more, and a lot less intense than before i started.
My wife is equally deligted, and the only problem i Can see is that we spend approximately an hour each on the Backhug daily, and miss it dearly when we are away.
The backhug Company are a very dedicated Crew, and fast to respond to any problems.
When i invested in the device i was the first danish customer, and a little concerned about sending a large sum of mony overseas for a product i did not know and could not try in advance, In hindsigth i Will say it is my best investment in years.

This is a serious bit of kit to have in your house. It is the only device which I have ever found which actually replicates the way a physio works on your back. I am a big lad, and most ‘massage’ devices simply aren’t strong enough to work on me. The Backhug is sufficiently strong that I don’t even need to turn it up to full strength. Similarly, the heatpad is really good. I only set it to low and it’s plenty warm enough. The app works brilliantly and the company are superbly responsive and helpful. Very highly recommended.

I have had back problems for most of my adult life , back surgery back in 1999, always have flare ups and pain , being a Nurse doesn’t help , Back Hug is a game changer for me , what a difference in a short period of time , feel way less tight , sciatica gone :)) and feel way more flexible, will be taking on a subscription now my trial has finished , amazed !

Life-changing. The simple concept of de-stiffening joints, especially in the back, to achieve a state of reduced pain, is brilliant. Because the user can change the settings, you feel completely in charge of your own physiotherapy treatment. The simple ideas really are the best. Thank you!

Really great product, my neck tension has eased

Amazingly it started to work from the very first session. When you suffer chronic pain you really do get used to trying loads of different so called 'miracle cures' and they never work, so you ended up being sceptical, but after the first session I somehow felt lighter and after second session my sciatica disappeared.

After 2 weeks of using BackHug daily I had to go on a trip away from home for 4 days and by the 4th day was back to the usual pain, so couldn’t wait to get on the BackHug.

I have a Therabody eye mask/goggles and I use them at the same time as they have a meditation session on them I can relax and then re-charge. So I am loving this time of the day.

It’s beautifully designed and very compact when folded down.

The customer service is excellent, all questions and queries quickly dealt with in a professional and friendly way.

Good online training material..

Positioning is key to getting the best out of the machine. It’s different to a traditional massage and you quickly get used to the technique.

It really loosens your back and I love the way you can tailor your treatment to specific areas even choosing more pressure on the right or left side.

I have used the backhug at least 5 times and it does help with my pains and free at the moment which is a bonus. I would highly recommend you try it. Can't use without the app. Hence 4 stars

These people are really genuine. Small company constantly improving the product and their service. I like what they are doing and so does my back! 3 of us use it regularly in this house. Very relaxing and constantly working on my spine mobility. Notably better flexibility since starting.

The trial offered was key for me. Little risk to try it for a month.

I have suffered with chronic back pain for several years with very little improvement despite regular yoga, pilates, massages, chiro etc. I have seen multiple doctors and physios, had my spine MRI scanned etc. I am in my late 40’s and in decent shape, so this lack of progress has been incredibly frustrating.

I have only used the BackHug for four days now (twice a day for 30 mins at medium setting) and it really has released my near permanent stiffness I feel in my back (which ordinarily leads to a back spasm that lasts hours at a time).

I appreciate this is a short usage period and my back can naturally fluctuate but so far this is the best intervention I have tried!

BackHug is an amazing product! Within the application which you can control from your phone there are settings for everyone, ranging from a gentle spine tingling sensation, to the serious pressure of a remedial deep tissue massage (or sports massage). And at the expense of two 60 min sessions per month, you can use the product daily or make it part of your fitness regime. I cannot recommend BackHug highly enough! For any aspiring athletes, or anyone who takes physical conditioning seriously. This product will change your performance for the better and I honestly believe it will save you money in the long run.

Professional and personal business to deal with.
Backhug time helps with my general comfort and after a session on it I often experience an increase in my mental and physical levels of energy. I’m a big fan!

I had a free Backhug trials as I've been suffering from an extremely painful sciatica on my right shoulder for 5 weeks. I went to see an accupuncturist, a physiotherapist, very expensive ones but it didn't help at all. I was very affected by this sciatica as I was unable to use my right arm for 5 weeks with many nights on painkillers. I tried backhug and I was so surprised as my pain almost disappeared after only one session of 1 hour. I had to go back again as it gave me so much relief for almost 2 days. I'm very impressed by this invention which is so efficient, I have to congratulate the whole team who developped this incredible machine which might change people's quality of life.

3rd time using Backhug and really enjoying it.
I have suffered with back pain nearly my whole life and this seems to be helping. I have tried nearly everything to help but most of the time the next day I’m in more pain, worst case laid up for weeks and can’t move but this has not happened yet with Backhug.
So I have fingers, toes and everything crossed that it continues.

I’ve had a free trial with BackHug for the last four weeks. It’s not the normal run of the Mill machine. You can adjust the settings by using an app on your phone. The staff are very friendly & professional and I’ve even had the privilege of meeting the CEO. Well organised and run company. Highly recommended. My back Felt better after use every time.
