I honestly cannot understand the negative reviews on here. These spices are amazing! Easy to follow recipe instructions with great tasting results. I have made many of the dishes for friends who have all commented on the restaurant quality of the food.

Sorry to say but we have made 2 meals now, following the recipe to the letter, and they've both ended up in the bin.
Would not purchase again, very disappointed.

Sadly it's a no from me. Spent ~£50 on a selection kit. Now, I love Madras & Jalfrezi's etc but these are just ridiculously hot even the masala ones (and that is using 1/4 of the spice than the recipe suggests). Masala is meant to be mild.
Each meal has been thrown away. I will now give the little pots away to my sister to see if she has a better experience.

Now my original review was I purchased the 2 pack Garam Masala & Shahi Chicken Masala . I have been eating Indian since the late sixties and I know what I like . The SCM is meek in flavour and does not add anything , the amount of cream the recipe says you put in is a joke 300ml way to much. I have tried again tonight and my opinion has not changed overrated and over priced. Luv to here from the company. Thanks

These curry powders are fabulous! None of the fake, bitter flavour that so many ready-made cooking sauces have. We now make all our curries from scratch since discovering Mrs Balbir Singh’s spice collection - there are great recipe cards whenever you buy them and we’ve made some outstanding dinners! One tip - you’ll probably need to increase the amount of spice powder mentioned in the recipes. We don’t like our curries especially spicy but we use 3 teaspoons of the Shahi Masala mix and 3 of the Garam Masala when the recipe calls for just one. That aside, we’re absolutely delighted to have discovered this brand. Oh and one more thing - the customer service is second to none. Every email I’ve sent has been answered quickly, with all the information I’ve needed and with the utmost politeness and good humour. Really impressed all round!

I ordered the butter chicken blend mix and Garam masala m and with this received the butter chicken recipe. I followed the recipe to the letter however, the spice was out of this world!!!! I made this twice and have come to the conclusion that the use of the butter chicken spice blend within the menu is doubled up! To use 5 teaspoons of the blend to marinate the chicken, followed by another 5 teaspoons in the sauce, is extremely excessive! Being of Punjabi ancestry, myself and my family couldn’t finish our portion due to the excessive spice

Really disappointing expensive spice mixes. Purchased a kit with several different curries, but they were all overpoweringly hot (despite following the recipe to the letter), but no depth of flavour with a very watery consistency. All 3 curries tasted exactly the same. Happened to comment that I had been disappointed on Facebook, hoping for some pointers or shared experiences from other customers, and the company were extremely aggressive and then deleted the whole post because I asked why their response was so aggressive. Avoid avoid avoid!

Spent £85 on the kit with recipe cards the coconut curry was watery bland I tried to then make tandoori chicken they were hot they weren't nasty or nice just mundane kinda boring, I will try a couple of more things if I'm not happy with those the whole lot is going in the bin. Very disappointed at the moment.

Ordered 6 pack meat feast collection + Biryani limited edition
Received spices plus 6 recipe cards no illustrations to show what the dish is supposed to look like
Chose to do the Shahi Chicken Masala on a day when i could devote the time with all the measuring out etc with no distractions
When cooking this i was a bit dubias about the time the chicken would cook for 35 mins in total to long for cubed chicken breast in my opinion
The end result was a curry that looked more like stroganof than a curry there were no subtle layers or depth of flavor
I followed the recipe to the letter and i am experienced cook very disappointed with end result
Won’t be trying any of the other recipe’s perhaps put the cards and spices on eBay as only opened the two needed for this one experience

Bought a small selection of spices - rogan Josh, garam masala, tikka rub and butter chicken curry from this company and can only say that I am so impressed with the wonderful quality of the spices and the attractive tins that they are packaged in. I don’t think I’ll be going back to the other brands I’ve tried over the years any time soon. I would highly recommend them.

Excellent spices, been using a year now and placed a few ordered.

Shame about points system thou unable to use vouchers when offers are on. Offers seem to be on most of time so when can you use vouchers?
But overall very good spices and would recommend.

I've been using their spice blends since the start of the year and they are top class!

Hard to pick a favourite because every time I cook somethings it's amazing. The spices are great quality and it's a good balance of convenience and "real" cooking

Customer service is great, and delivery super quick.

Products are nicely packaged in little tins and make great presents.

I really can't say enough good things about Mrs Balbir Singh!
