Very frustrating
It took 2 hours to initially key the application with no help and no contact numbers; clunky and frustrating system. Post submission - very difficult to get hold of office staff for help and again a clunky system. I question whether the underwriter fully understood the case and if he/she didn't made no attempt to pick up the phone to discuss. After going around in circles we needed BDM intervention to get an offer issued.

Took 2 months to get an offer
Took 2 months to get an offer. The only thing good about Mpowered is the rates. Most times when you call there’s a long wait until someone answers and the underwriting process is diabolical- in 27 years of being an advisor , I would say the experience of using Mpowered is one of the worst I’ve experienced. The bdm is also no help at all.

Not all mortgages are written equal !
We felt everyone deserve an equal treatment. Lender turned up for this foreign national couple when the computer literally said no! What seemed impossible eventually became a journey to a new beginning for a hardworking family. Amazing work from Simon and Teri.

Offer within 20 minutes!!!
I have used MPowered a few times now and in each case the mortgage offer was issued very speedily, the last application took 20 minutes from completing the application to offer. Technology is pretty simple to use, intuitive and easy to upload documents where required. Rates are competitive too, definitely use again!

very very different to every other…
very very different to every other lenders system, and not particularly clear or strightforward.
It's quite difficult to get help on how to work your way through the strange system. Not easy to find a contact number to get help

First time using them
First time using them. Only reason it's 3 star and not 2 is because (eventually) an Offer was issued. Poor service overall, starting when a BDM didn't get back to me as they said. Repeated requests for more and more forms when it was abundantly clear it was easily affordable. I don't think they're empowered at all, as a result of their funding model.

Good underwriter
I had a very bad start with its BDM and the complexity of its IT system, but Somy from the broker support team was very helpful, and the underwriter, Teri, was especially patient. My clients are first-time buyers (FTB), and the source of their funds is complex. I had numerous calls and emails with Teri, sometimes even 4-5 times a day via email. She replied to me straightaway and sorted the problems one by one. The clients nearly gave up two times, but we finally completed this deal with Teri’s help. My clients and I owe her a big thanks, and we will recommend her service to anyone who needs it. All the best.
