Outstanding Work - Builders and painters who work like surgeons...
When I hired the company I'm going to tell you about I checked their references and each person I spoke to gave glowing reviews. Every conversation gave me the sense that Krisztian Ocsko was someone very special compared to most builders, painters etc. He was someone whose work ethic and sense of craft they truly valued. He has the sensibility of an artist who cares about the quality of the work he is doing.
If you’re looking for a reliable, detail-oriented professional who treats your home with as much care as you do, then you can absolutely trust Krisztian.
In my case what started as a small 2 day job – fixing a leaky skylight and some other work – turned into an 8 day collaboration simply because Krisztian and his colleague were a pleasure to be around - and because they did great work. Every day I would ask whether they could do some new thing and after looking at it the answer was generally YES.
In the end they helped me with carpentry, masonry, painting, reattaching an aerial, checking roof tiles, and even resizing some keys that a local locksmith couldn't be bothered to do because "it wasn't worth his while". His skill set is broad, his attitude is CAN DO and his standards are impressively high.
You’ll notice the difference immediately: he works with the precision of a surgeon, never assumes anything, and always asks the right questions – like whether there are any times you'd prefer he avoid noisy work, or if the paint colour bought truly matches what you had in mind. That attention to detail means you’re never left second-guessing.
Another rare quality? Shock horror...HE CLEANS UP AFTER HIMSELF EVERY DAY! No piles of dust or tools left behind. No blaring music either – just quiet, focused work. And when you offer him tea or coffee, you might be surprised: he’ll likely politely decline. Also, I'm not sure I ever saw him stop for lunch. These points are small, but save you time and keep the momentum going.
You’ll also appreciate his transparent pricing – materials charged at cost with receipts, and for his work very reasonable rates for the quality you receive.
Any downsides? Not really. Maybe that his timings can be a little vague. But on the upside: Krisztian is flexible. He’s happy to start early or stay late when needed, which more than makes up for it. And if you need a 09h00 start and a 16h00 finish each day they I know he'll accomodate that.
In short: if you value craftsmanship, clear communication, and a respectful presence in your home, you won’t go wrong with Krisztian.
Personally, beyond the work he's done he's a very nice person and I feel fortunate to have met him.
