I had a one hour consultation with Louis and reviewed my tax position for relocation to Spain in 2026.

Although my situation isn't complicated, I was able to clarify the highest risks and assure myself of my timeline for my 2026 move. Louis spoke in clear and considerate language without jargon which is a massive plus when navigating this process.

Louis followed up with a detailed summary which is very useful. I will be using Louis and the company in 2026 once im in Spain.

and I were charged for a full membership, which we thought would help us a lot while planning our move.

Turns out this company isn’t available for the consults during ANY remotely regular hours. 2am was the only time slot open. WE HAVE DISABLED CHILDREN. We cannot wait up until 2/3/4 am for this!! But we DO still need help with our move.

So we have begun reaching out to other companies who offer similar services at a standard that works for people still stuck here.

In addition to this outlandish policy, I’ve reached out TWICE via email about this bc it’s suspicious at best, scammy at worst. And have heard NO response. At all. From anyone. But they were VERY quick to charge our credit card.

My advice is pay a higher rate for affirm that is actually invested in helping people, more than just themselves.

Using Moving to Spains relocation agent Eliana. I have been settled for 2 weeks and without Eliana's help I'm sure I would still be homeless and definitely not registered at the local civic offices nor have a bank account.

From securing a rental and getting it painted and a/c added to the main living areas (a lot of the bedroooms do not have AC even in the expensive rentals), opening a bank account with an English speaking account manager, making an appointment with the local civic centre ensuring I had the list of documents requested (also the go to for the officials to call as I have very basic Spanish).
I am so grateful for Eliana's help, it was definitely worth the cost and without it I would be in a complete mess and booking a flight back home.

Based on the tax & residency requirements that Louis let us know about right away, we adjusted our moving timeline a whole month later, thus saving a huge sum of money in taxes. While this information was also available online, it didn't quite sink in with so much to think about. Sometimes, it's better to hear from an expert and make that person to person connection.
