HORRIBLE experience with Pacific Coast Movers
HORRIBLE experience with them - and the high reviews through UHaul is all undeserved. The packers they sent stood over me at the end of the job to pressure me to put in "5" reviews...which I did unfortunately! I had paid the extra money for the insurance to protect my belongings in transit. When movers on delivery end unloaded the UHaul boxes, they saw and pointed out to me before they took the furniture out of the UHaul box that 2 pieces of furniture were damaged, a desk that had extra heavy stuff put on top of it and no blanket for protection - (the corner of the desk broke off).. A bookcase that did not have a blanket protecting it and it got all scratched up during the move. They did say it was improperly packed. I submitted claim to insurance and after back and forth over a month later, insurance sent letter saying they don't cover damage caused by improper packing. Called Moving Help (the branch of UHaul that recommends local movers and they directed me to call Pacific Coast directly. The owner Travis, was very defensive and said I would have to prove beyond a doubt, with pictures and all or video as if I were in a criminal justice courtroom, showing his packers dropped and broke something. I reiterated that it was just improper packing that caused the damage and he says he can't do anything about it!!! His attitude and demeanor were very condescending almost threatening.....Everyone points the finger at everyone else! No one will take responsibility and buying insurance is money down the drain....DO NOT USE Pacific Coast..

Never hire AMC labor company in California even if UHaul recommends you to. Hire your own trusted labor company.
I was in Contact with Mario from AMC labor in California. He was supposed to meet me at 2:15 on the day of to load my truck and when I texted him to see if he is on his way he said that he was not coming.
He could have given me at least two hours notice so I could plan accordingly and hire another labor team and not surprise me with the bad news last minute. He was super disrespectful and ignorant.
I ended up paying more money in the end to a reliable company to load my truck.
Not to say when Mario never showed up I called moving help to report the issue but they never answered the phone.
If you get an email or call from AMC and Mario Poppy RUNNN bc he is not going to show up to load or unload your uhaul.
Save yourself the stress.
Incompetent. Untrained. Over-charged without approval
In the past, Ive been blown away by how efficient and fast movers for my past two moves were. Because lf that, I fully expected to (luck out?) And have good movers again. They're (fakely) rated highly on Uhaul.
Thanks to their slow incompetence, I did a lot of the heavy lifting (tiny woman). I trained them on how to use plastic wrap. Cover furniture. Use common sense when stacking.
They broke a glass bowl heirloom and didn't even apologize. Dragged mattresses and pillows and sofa on the dirty ground.
They took 3X as long as expected.
So even though I had a hotel room, thanks to them, I was forced to spend the night in my empty home on the cold hard floor - before my international flight - to finish moving alone.
They cost me sleep and sanity.
Then, they had the cojones to charge me for the "extra hours" - AFTER I HAD APPROVED and PAID the agreed upon hours and WITHOUT getting my signed approval.
Pretty sure it is illegal to charge me without my approval.
I will be pursuing reimbursement.
And ideally funding for my loss of glass item, furniture damage and the training time I gave them, dar too graciously.....
They Avoid Liability and You Pay for It
Under no circumstances use movinghelp.com. Hire a real moving company that stands behind the quality of their work and will reimburse damages. Want their real reviews? Go to trustpilot. It’s 1.8 stars at the time of this writing for a reason.
I hired moving help due to convenience and saw the high ratings on Uhaul.com while renting a truck. Do not be fooled though, moving help legally positioned themselves to not be liable for damages of their movers by positioning themselves as a marketplace. They then deemphasize damage risk and move the cost for insurance and backing the work as an extra cost to you, the consumer.
On the phone they claimed their review system keeps movers good and honest, but this is simply not true. The reviews are inflated because they pay you to review shortly after loading, before moving damages can be assessed.
Hire a real moving company, not this sham of a marketplace with nickle and dime movers that do not give a damn about your stuff. I lost over $3000 of stuff due to poor loading of items. My only recourse is small claims court, but I moved, and it would cost a fortune to go back to local claims court several times.
The worst of the worst
The worst of the worst. After the move, I couldn't believe the damage the movers caused. I had blankets provided and none were used (SMH). There is a reason why you use blankets to avoid the scratches. This occured with multiple furnitures including my dresser, dining table, and ottoman. Not to mention the 50 inch TV was knocked over on the asphalt (hope it works) and the glass lamp shade that shattered everywhere.
Also one mover was constantly on his phone... its moving time, not phone time and I even helped along the way.
I handsomely tipped $30 each but not knowing the damage, it would of been a lot less. Poorly executed!
Mover no-show and no way to review him
I had a mover no-show, without calling or texting me, and I only knew 45 minutes into my move because he had said that was his arrival window. Since the job was “cancelled”, I can’t leave a negative review about how much his no show screwed me. Unique Touch Pros in Portland Oregon. He still has 5 stars! How many other people has he done this to? How many more will he do it to? I don’t know but I won’t be booking through this site again. Its reviews and contractors can’t be trusted.
2 guys didn't show up
2 guys didn't show up, no compensation provided even after it was promised over the phone. Seek alternative for your move rather than at the last minute being left to move everything yourself.

Worst customer "service" experience…
Worst customer "service" experience EVER. Literally EVER.
Avoid this company at all costs.
1) made a reservation for a MORNING move/2 hour loading help. no contact from movers for nearly 24 hours. When we finally got a response it was for movers to show up "sometime around 10 am" or before noon. No commitment to a more specific time. In most definitions 'morning" would be before or by 10 am. NOT only that, but they tried to shake me down for a "heavy object" exorbitant fee for a small stackable w/d that WAS NOT part of the quoted fee. They also seemingly did not like that we are on a 2nd floor unit. When I asked about a more specific time, they told me to ask for a refund and that they could not help me, leaving me without a mover. No response after that.
2) I then tried calling Moving No-Help. I waited for 38 minutes on hold only to be disconnected. I waited for another 1 hour and 47 minutes on hold before giving up (I have a screenshot as proof).
I tried their 'live chat" and waited for 21 minutes. That was after the chat said it would be ONE minute wait to start the chat. Then I got someone who took 3-5 minutes to review each response I gave trying to explain our situation. Sloth slow.
"Kristy" said they are a very small team as if that were the rationale behind slow to non-existent responsiveness.
I repeatedly tried to explain that I was concerned about rescheduling via their service if I had to wait 24 hours to get a confirmation and then risk the same lame cancellation. When she just couldn't seem to understand my most basic questions, I asked if I could SPEAK with a person and she didn't even reply appropriately to that but instead she said "we don't have control over rates movers charge". So I wasted another 40 minutes combo on hold plus the chat for no result.
I then had to CALL to get the cancellation processed.
All told, I probably spent 3 hours on trying to first confirm and then cancel White Glove Movers (who are scammers).
my recommendation is to use ANY other business to help you with securing a mover or moving help than Moving No-Help.com.
3 hours later and I still don't see a refund transaction either following the cancellation.
Moving No-Help is a useless and careless broker for moving assistance and I'd advise you to avoid doing business with them at all costs.
Every word from them highlighted that they have no control over anything that can HELP a customer.
THE WORST experience ever.
Customers basically have to pay the fees only to get a hold on a reservation not an actual confirmation or actually confirming service. So customers take on all the risk that money will debited for services that everyone else seems to claim are out of their control to secure.
If you use Moving NO-help.com you will be gambling with movers that will cancel and leave you scrambling to make other arrangements at the last minute.
JUST DON'T RISK it.
A company that has such poor systems in place for a customer to resolve issues or ask questions doesn't deserve your business.
I decided to not risk reserving moving help through this company and therefore spent 4 hours talking to other companies. The result was that I secured moving assistance but at twice the cost because it was short notice.
So it's worth repeating: don't do business with Moving No-Help.com

Austin local movers never showed up or responded I was refunded however I had to pay more to find movers same day due to movers never answering or canceling the move do not book with moving help!
These guys are the worst
These guys are the worst. The movers never showed up, even after I was texted the night before. I flew across country to meet them but they never showed.
Customer service is not helpful and they get indignant if you complain.

We had the worst move this time around, the movers caused a lot of damage and were not professional starting from the owner to the employees. I opened a case on the movinghelp.com website at the suggestion of a Uhaul employee, but movinghelp.com won't do anything if the owner of the moving company won't do anything. The owner responded to the case saying he would issue the partial refund I requested, but now he went ghost. They charged me another fee for doing a review when it was actually supposed to be refunded but Alyssa on the chat kept referring me to my bank even though it's a credit card not a bank card. She disconnected the chat after I said I didn't need anything else, and as a person who works on a chat team...that's rude. No wonder they have terrible movers, their company has terrible service. I booked the mover I had issues with due to another company I found on their website canceled the day before our move because 2 guys got in an accident. I hope they're ok, but something like that shouldn't cause you to cancel a move appointment. Honestly it felt like everyone was acting up because it was Memorial Day weekend and they were ready to party like it was New Year's Eve or something.
Terrible Service!
I booked moving help to handle my loading and unpacking in two cities. Movers cancelled both times at the very last minute leaving me stranded without options. Customer service is entirely unhelpful in resolving any issues. Buyer Beware!!

There are S*XU*L PREDATORS on this platform / RepWest Denies Coverage
I brought to their attention the egregious acts of an undersigned/insured company via the u-Haul MovingHelp.com platform and was gaslit about the claim, my interactions after being physically, mentally, and emotionally threatened by their insured and ultimately denied by ReWest. I am a young woman and had no choice but to use the MovingHelp platform but typically had positive experiences and was not expecting a predator to enter my home. They were unequipped, unprofessional and one of the movers even THREATENED TO RAPE ME IN MY OWN HOME. RepWest was informed of their clearly reckless behavior from the time that they arrived and still deny my claim without any proof of their reason for denial or consideration to the extent of damages. DO NOT USE MOVINGHELP.COM NOR RELY ON UHAUL CARGO COVERAGE OR THE SAFELOAD COVERAGE OF THEIR MOVERS. They propped their feet up on my U-Haul truck laughing and yelling loudly late at night smoking cigarettes. Every single time I asked them to quiet down or brought anything to their attention (damages and them dropping and banging my property included) they would become combative, yell and make excuses for their behaviors and completely disregard me. One mover used the MovingHelp rating system as a way to manipulate and threaten me in to giving a positive review in lieu of him acting on his threats of sexual violence. RepWest, however, continues to use the positive review against me despite the fact that I have repeatedly articulated clear concerns of my safety and that the mover specifically threatened me in to doing a positive review whereas common sense says they know where I live and during this move they also boldly bragged about committing other crimes further showing a complete disregard for law enforcement. All of this supports and substantiates a pattern of behavior that validates my claims of their movers damaging my property.

If anything goes wrong you are all alone. I made a reservation on movinghelp.com and the moving company did not respond to my emails, text messages, and calls. They did not show up either. After realizing that they are not coming I had to cancel the reservation, delay my move while the truck is at the door, and find last-minute help for double the average price. What's worst is that MovingHelp.com does not allow customers to leave reviews for cancelled orders. So, all of my trouble and the unprofessional work from the moving company goes unnoticed, not recorded, simply ignored by MovingHelp.com. MovingHelp does not care about customers, avoid them!

I do not recommend using Moving Help for any moving, packing, or unloading services. In my experience, they are highly unreliable for both customers and businesses under contract with them. If you run a moving business, it's essential to know that even if your workers show up and complete the job, IF the customer REFUSES to provide the payment code, MOVING HELP will not ensure you get paid. To avoid overworking your employees without the assurance of compensation, I suggest exploring alternatives like Facebook Marketplace, building a website, or using other platforms that protect hardworking professionals. Moving help collectors customers payment get their cut so their efforts to assist other moving businesses associated under their site is not taken into consideration. That's your problem if you don't get the payment code that they have to provide the customer to give to the businesses to get compensated for the labor their workers put out. Good luck with small claims court because after filing that basically only the customer is protected. Really disappointing and unjust!!
The helpers were good... but
The helpers were good. I got an email to review the movers and there was an option to tip. I was unable to complete the review without giving a tip. I gave $20 to each of the two movers. Later I found out that tips given online do not go the movers, they go to the "boss". Tip the moving helpers in cash.
Horrible experience
Horrible experience! We were already going through a traumatic move forced out because we were in employee housing and my husband no longer worked for the company.
Th movers never confirmed the day before. So I ended up calling another company and booking with them. Well I should have stayed with that company. But Mountain Time Movers sent a text short.y after I booked with the other company. Being a person with integrity, I decided I should stick with the people I originally booked and made a commitment to huge mistake when they finally showed up late, they did a walk-through quickly, then stated they needed to connect their dollies and would return. Never came back, but we’re in my house long enough to steal two gold necklaces. Mountain Time Mvets has zero integrity and Hires thieves. If your thinking of doing business with moving help.com I strongly advise you do not.
The6 have zero customer service. I was never able to reach anyone to either. Confirm my move or to discuss the problems about the movers and get a refund horrible experience I will never do business with movinghelp.com or mountain time movers again.
