From start to finish, Nina has been absolutely fantastic. She has been professional, knowledgeable, responsive, and incredibly supportive throughout the entire process. Buying or selling a home can be stressful, but she was always there to answer my questions, keep me updated, and reassure me every step of the way.

I honestly don’t think I could have stayed sane without her! Her patience, dedication, and genuine care made what was at times an overwhelming experience so much easier. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and I always felt like I was in safe hands.

I completed 20 reviews as requested and was expecting payment according to our agreement. However, despite multiple follow-ups, I have still not received the agreed payment of $40.The lack of response and delay in payment has been very disappointing. Based on my personal experience, I would advise other freelancers to be cautious and make sure payment terms are clearly agreed upon before starting any work.Until this payment issue is resolved, I cannot recommend working under similar arrangements. My experience with Move Places Real Estate has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. As first-time home buyers, we trusted the agency to guide us through the process, but unfortunately, we were met with poor communication, misrepresentation, and a complete lack of accountability.

1. Solicitor Recommendation: Move Places recommended a solicitor for our transaction, but they failed to do any meaningful work on our behalf for a staggering 8 weeks. Every time I tried to reach out for updates, the solicitor would not answer calls or emails. Eventually, we had no choice but to fire her and hire a new solicitor, who was able to get everything moving and complete the process within just two weeks.

2. Misrepresentation of the Property: We were initially told that the flat came with a garage, which was a significant factor in our decision to make an offer. I even followed up with an email to the estate agent, Laura Doyle, and she confirmed that the flat did, indeed, come with a garage.

3. The Truth Comes Out: A week before we were set to complete on the property, our solicitor asked about the garage, as they hadn’t seen any mention of it in the legal documents. It turned out that the seller’s solicitor had no knowledge of a garage, and it was confirmed that the garage was never included with the flat. This was a direct misrepresentation by Move Places, yet instead of taking responsibility, they tried to blame us, claiming it was our solicitor’s fault for not catching the mistake earlier.

4. Managing Director's Response: When I escalated the issue to the managing director, Jason Harris-Cohen, his first response was not to address the misrepresentation but to tell us that the flat was still a “great price” without the garage. He even sent over examples of similar properties without a garage, completely missing the point. We were sold this flat with the expectation of a garage, and this was never communicated properly.

5. Compensation Offer: After further back-and-forth, Jason did offer a small compensation for the confusion, which, while appreciated, did not make up for the stress and frustration caused by their negligence and lack of professionalism. And was also minuscule compared to the value of a garage.

6. Parking and Access Issues: Upon collecting the keys, which was over an hour away from our new home, we asked about the parking situation and how to access the gated complex. Jason assured us that the parking permits and gate fob would be sent to us ASAP, and if they weren’t, he would cover the cost of replacements. Fast forward over 4 months—numerous parking tickets, and still no permits or fob. After repeated ignored attempts to get this resolved, I had to threaten to visit the office in person before Jason finally agreed to cover the cost of the fob. However, we were still left to pay £200 for new parking permits and £200 in parking fines, all of which should have been sorted long before.

Overall, Move Places Real Estate has been unprofessional, unhelpful, and misleading at every turn. I would strongly advise anyone, especially first-time buyers, to avoid them at all costs. They have failed to deliver on their promises and have left us with significant financial and emotional stress throughout this entire process.

Moving places is good if you want a quick sale. They found an investor to buy my flat within a short space of time. Also, the investors took on the tenants this made the process of selling the property quickly without giving notice to the tenants. I would say use your own solicitors moving places will suggest you use their solicitors. Unfortunately I found them really slow in responding to queries and giving me updates regarding the progress of the sale, however, we did get there in the end and I’m very happy that I’ve sold the property .

Nina was a great help throughout the process and always quick to respond to any emails or queries.
