Hi, thank you for your feedback. We understand that price is an important factor, especially in an emergency situation. However, our prices vary depending on the tyre size, location, day of the week, and the brand and quality of the tyre required.

If another service supplied and fitted a tyre for €120, we cannot comment on the exact product or service provided without knowing the details. However, that price would be extremely low for a quality replacement tyre combined with an emergency call-out, fitting, fuel, staff costs and the other expenses involved in operating a professional mobile tyre service.

A price in that range may be more consistent with a puncture repair plus a call-out fee rather than the supply and fitting of a new, quality tyre.

We aim to provide a reliable, professional emergency service with quality products, not simply the cheapest possible option. We appreciate that customers have different budgets, but we believe our pricing reflects the quality of the tyres supplied and the costs involved in delivering a service directly to customers wherever they need us.

We are very disappointed to read this review, as it does not reflect what actually happened.

The tyre was replaced exactly as requested, and the initial job was completed without any issue. Shortly afterwards, the customer contacted us to say that the tyre was rubbing against the front-left suspension spring. We were then informed that the spring had broken.

Rather than leaving the customer stranded, we immediately arranged recovery from our garage, brought the vehicle back to us and ordered the required parts — including a new coil spring and top mount — so that the vehicle could be repaired without unnecessary delay.

We also offered to replace the tyre again, even though our inspection showed that the tyre had not been damaged, simply because it had been rubbing against the broken spring and we wanted the customer to leave with a new tyre and a safe vehicle.

Once the vehicle arrived at our garage, however, the situation changed. The customer no longer wanted the vehicle repaired and instead demanded an additional tyre without allowing us to recover the tyre already fitted to the vehicle. We explained that we could not provide a second tyre while leaving the existing one on the vehicle.

Unfortunately, the situation then escalated considerably. The customer entered areas of our garage without authorisation and attempted to take a tyre from our stock without our consent. We politely asked the customer to leave the garage premises, but she initially refused to do so. It was only after we began contacting the Gardaí for assistance that she eventually agreed to leave.

When leaving the premises, the vehicle was driven away abruptly and came very close to one of our mechanics. Rubbish was also thrown from the vehicle within our garage premises, and at one point the main entrance to the garage was obstructed.

We have CCTV footage and photographs documenting the events at our premises and are happy to provide these to the customer if there is any genuine dispute about what occurred.

We completely reject the suggestion that we treated the customer unfairly or refused to help. On the contrary, we arranged recovery, sourced parts immediately and offered a further tyre replacement, all in an attempt to resolve the situation and help the customer.

We are always willing to discuss legitimate complaints and resolve genuine issues professionally. However, we cannot accept responsibility for events or allegations that are inconsistent with the evidence available to us.
