Very poor phone service. The person I spoke to didn’t listen and appeared to be reading from a script the entire time. I made a reasonable offer to pay off a debt, but they couldn’t respond appropriately or deal with it in any useful way. Extremely frustrating experience.

I have seen a lot of bad reviews about this company and I honestly don’t know why. I was in debt (quite a large amount) I set up a payment plan with them and realised it was way too high for me, I was so worried about calling them and telling them I need to bring the payment down and Amber was absolutely incredible, understanding and sympathetic. She really took all the weight off my shoulders.

I don't understand the negative reviews, I have been dealing with a lovely lady called Amber. I explained my whole situation regarding my debt and she was very understanding and she listened. Amber put a hold on my account until I found employment. My debt is now on its way to be cleared thanks to all of her help.

Amber is a credit to the company and deserves a bonus.

She was very empathetic and understanding at the get go and despite my situation was able to go through my income and expenditure and work out a affordable payment plan to get me back on track.

More advisors like Emily are needed. She ticked all the boxes. Couldn't be more grateful for what could have been a tough call. She was great.

The company or what ever they are I shit they constantly ring you when I told them a number of times to phone after 5pm plus they won’t accept anything lower than 50 quid if they can’t accept that then they ain’t getting anything simple as that

Was paying thr debt I owed 50 a month then the direct debit stopped coming out. So I didn't realise this had happened sent me a letter to contact so I did. Spoke to 4 different people trying to do an income of what I can afford was telling the 50 a month was affordable nope got transfered to step change. So done that they agreed with 52. A month over 36 months. Called back then they was like no you can afford 4quid a month . What the he'll. Ok if that's what you want to accept then so be it. They told be they stopped enforcement but contacted the courts and apparently its still live. Ive always made a complaint with them calling at stupid o'clock of an evening but apparently im a liar was they don't call its automatic but they still call whether it is a robot or not. Ridiculous company

Well these clowns 🤡 added a ccj supposed to be 2 but only one went on to add to the other 5 lol.They must think the threat of a ccj or bailiffs as some kind of effect what fools.Theses parasites have more chance of getting blood out of a stone considering the person they are chasing moved some 3 years ago and I will be telling them nothing because I’m sick of returning letters saying not at this address.. fools send the bailiffs I’m quaking in my boots (NOT)

Absolute scum this company is. They wouldn’t accept a payment lower than £89 a month and literally bullied me into paying it. Threatened me with bailiff enforcement. I have now applied to the court with a N245 form to lower the payments. Anybody else in the same situation should do the same.

Tried to set up a payment plan of 10 a month. My account wont allow me to set up anything below 80quid which im not willing to do. I have sent two emails and no reply. Called and left on hold. Quick to chase you for debt but wont allow you to set up a payment plan regardless of the amount to pay it off THEN threaten you wil baliffs. This place needs to be shut down. Just answer your emails and let customers set up payment plans of what they want. Your still getting the money just because its not the amount you want. Terrible service

Absolutely terrible company sent me a CCJ my ex took out in my name by a online digital signature that I knew nothing about it asked for evidence of me taking out this finance but they refused to provide it how can you go to a court with out providing evidence asked the call center woman to speak to her manager an she said managers don't speak to customers first iv ever heard of that good look with getting a penny

I have a debt with these guys and pay £50 a month because Im prioritizing other debts (council tax ect) im getting phone calls everyday from them.

What £50 is not enough? Tough council tax is the priority not some old ACI debt you brought for pennys on the pound.

Been paying each month , 3 yrs requested a offer of discount settlement as I am having to give job up I’ll health and my £100 payment will have to be reduced to £20 which means I will be over 80 when paid ridiculous responses, phone calls twice a day every day

Fully paid off my debt with them and then they decided they wanted more from me afterwards by saying i hadnt paid it

I originally gave a 1 star review. That has now been changed to a 3 star and that is only because of the chap I spoke to. I still stand by some comments I made. They never reply to emails. They had my address wrong

Mortimer Clarke Solicitors are nothing but scammers; they are a terrible company. I have two accounts with them: one I’m currently paying off, and the other they keep calling me about while I’m at work and I didn’t know it’s them.Now, they’ve sent me a CCJ pack to complete, and despite raising a complaint that they supposedly investigated, nothing changed. These people are only out to issue CCJs and ruin your credit file. Now It’s incredibly frustrating! After reading the reviews, it’s clear why so many feel this way about them. They are utterly useless!

A clown organisation that could not organise a piss up in a brewery. I have a payment agreement with them and have been paying them every month for a long time now, never missed a payment. So I changed over my bank account and all my direct debits were transferred over and all of them have been collecting their payments except Mortimer Clarke. They started to send threatening letters, I had to go on their website and pay them up to date because they could not be bothered to take direct debit payments. So we are up to date. I sent them an email weeks ago, telling them there are direct debits on my new account and they are not taking payments, they never bothered to answer and just sent another letter threatening me with court, even though all payments are up to date. So I phoned them and got thru to some idiot who was unhelpful as can be and did nothing. He even claimed that it was my banks fault, which is a joke. I contacted my bank, they said the direct debits are set up and fine and it was up to Mortimer Clarke to take payments. I have now put in a formal complaint to Mortimer Clarke and if they do not deal with it properly then off to the Ombudsman and Solicitors regulation authority to make formal complaints about these clowns.

All the bad reviews when I rung today I was expecting the worst however far from it Amy was absolutely brilliant very polite and courteous helping me with my situation told her what I had left a month sorted a payment plan out for me big weight of my mind she's a credit to the company in my eyes yes there's bad reviews on there I was in 2 minds but took as I found..

Being threatened by these on a daily basis via phone. Because I’m homeless and don’t have a postcode to offer them or know one that they can correlate to an alleged debt then they threaten me even further. Already told them dozens of times that if they are so worried about their investment that they made on an alleged debt and chose to pay off on my behalf, then to serve me with a statutory demand and declare me bankrupt. They ignore all this and keep demanding a postcode despite me being homeless and in various local authority emergency accommodations or schemes for the past three years and keep making harassing calls daily. They’ve now resorted to the automated calls like their sister company Cabot. Advice to anyone is block the number and just delete the automated voice messages each day, failing that, change your number.
This company are a risk for reward operation that risks investing a tiny percentage of an alleged debt paying it off on someone’s behalf in the hope the can threaten someone into paying them the full value of an alleged debt.

Don’t reply to emails after sending me endless,very strange outfit.
