Watch Your Drinks
On Wednesday 8 May my daughter and friends were for no apparent reason escorted out of the club by security. Once outside my daughter collapsed and became unconscious. Her friends phoned me to tell us about the situation. As she was unconscious we told her friend to call 999 for an ambulance. The club manager then came on the phone to advise that she had probably had her drink spiked and that calling an ambulance "would take too long". When someone is unconscious why would an ambulance not be called as the quickest way to get medical attention rather than having to rush him/her to an A&E miles away, only to wait in the traditional NHS queue? Obviously not calling an ambulance would avoid any official record of the incident and club being made. My daughter is only now a week later getting her memory of the incident back and has been struggling with headaches since.
If you decide to go to MooMoo I appeal to you to always be in the company of friends, be extremely vigilant of your drink being spiked and if possible have at least one person in your group not drinking in order to keep vigil. Do not go to the toilet, or anywhere else, alone. It is a huge risk and luckily in our case it was only the after effects of the spiked drink that had to be suffered. It could have been a lot worse.
