worst shopping experience
An update of my experience:
I finally received the refund via my credit card today. While it took a long time, I am relieved that Montsand’s customer service did eventually provide me with the refund as promised. I actually wore the dress on my wedding day tea ceremony and loved it. Unfortunately, I will hesitate to purchase from them again given the experience. (If i were to purchase again from Montsand, I would probably be extremely careful about sizing or sell it away if it doesnt fit, instead of going for a refund. It is too much of a hassle.)
Lastly, despite my experience, I still have to give credit to the designer for I really liked her designs. Hopefully I will give Montsand another shot if there comes a day I need another evening gown for an event.

It was the worse I have ever experienced from an online store. I bought 2 dresses last year in the wrong size. (Before my purchase, I checked to ensure that I am able to do a refund/exchange.)
I was told to mail back the 2 dresses to Montsand and make a new purchase for the dress in the correct size immediately so I can receive it quickly.
I was told to return the 2 dresses with the following instructions and it was a big mistake. I sent this package to Vietnam last September 2024, via Fedex.
1. Apparently the package is stuck at customs.
2. I used Fedex as recommended but now Montsand kept saying that I have “used the courier of my choice and now my package is stuck”.
3. Montsand conveniently asked me to pay for whatever any additional fees to get the package delivered to them.
4. It has been 7 months and I have not received any refund for the dresses.
Looks like it will be tough getting my refund. It is also disappointing that for a brand that seems to be a little known, it felt like they have no urgency to want to fix this issue. (Despite telling me in every single email that they are doing their best. However, there is absolutely no progress or proper update after 7 months.)
Please check out the link to our "Return and Policy Exchange" attached below to see what you need to do with your return. Beside that you need to follow these instructions when you ship your package to make sure we receive your package. If you have failed to follow the instructions provided and we have not received the package/ any taxes, fee applied, we regret to inform you that we cannot proceed with the refund process/deduct to your refund:
- In the "Reason of Export/Purpose of shipment”: declare the item as "GIFT- FREE OF CHARGE" and the total value is under $30.
- In the "Description of Items", you can describe your item as "woman clothing" or” woman dress".
- Country of Origin: Vietnam
- No mention of "return" in your invoice when you fill out the shipping document.
- We highly recommend using DHL/FedEx to return your package.
- Provide us with a tracking number after you shipped it.
- Please notice that according to our policy, the original shipping fee is non-refundable.
