Mixam was an amazing experience for my…

Mixam was an amazing experience for my first book! The support team was always there to not only answer all my questions but they could physically jump in and fix an issue. Fast efficient service through the whole journey. Could not of finished it so fast without them. We had 1 small issue after I recieved the books but the QC team handled it fast and and fix the issue quickly. I highly recommend them, great service, amazing quality and excellent pricing comparatively.

Major printing delays

I placed a printing order for several books on October 10th for a client, but the order didn’t arrive until January 27th due to repeated printing delays. Each time there was a new delay, it was left to me to contact Mixam for updates. Whenever I did reach out, I was assured the order would ship within the week, which ultimately never happened.

Getting in touch with customer support was consistently frustrating, as the phone lines often disconnected before I could speak to a representative. When I did manage to reach someone, however, the representatives were helpful and did their best to provide information. Eventually, Mixam upgraded our order to expedited shipping, which I feel was the bare minimum given the length of the delay. I also requested a discount and was offered 5%, which I never received and do not feel was adequate considering the inconvenience and frustration caused.

Hi Jake,Thank you for your feedback. Just to clarify that this order was placed on December 10th, not October.
We’re sorry for the longer than expected delays to the estimated dates during our very busy December peak season. While this period can impact turnaround times, we understand the inconvenience caused. Production is now fully caught up, and timelines have returned to normal.
For future orders with a fixed deadline, please let us know in advance so we can best advise on timing and options.

I made my first order in November and…

I made my first order in November and although the books were slightly delayed they arrived close to the estimated delivery date. I sold out of my books and made a second order December 5th for 50 additional books. They were estimated to arrive December 17th and I was very happy because I was planning to sell them at Christmas gifts. They did not arrive until January 25th after having to reach out myself and get updates about multiple delays. No real excuse for the delay as well. I missed out on many sales because of their errors. I was offered a partial refund which I have yet to receive. VERY unreliable company but good price.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us. December is our busiest period of the year, and during this time we can experience temporary production delays that may extend into January. In some cases, schedules can also be affected by essential machine maintenance. But we are all caught up now.

Terrible communication and missed deadlines

I’ve never experienced such poor communication from a company. I sent email after email that went completely unreplied to, and to make matters worse, it seems they blocked my phone number. Every time I called, it wouldn't go through, yet it worked instantly when I tried from my sister’s phone.

Because they wouldn't answer my calls or emails, the only way I could get a hold of anyone was through live chat. I spent weeks getting the run-around from chat agents who took zero accountability. Even though my order was over a month late due to their own mistakes, every person on that chat insisted the best they could do was a 5% refund (doesn't even cover the taxes).

The only reason this isn’t a zero-star review is because of an angel named Scott who finally took my call and had the decency to offer me a full refund.

It shouldn’t be this hard to get a response. If you have a deadline, stay away—unless you want to be ghosted, blocked, and ignored for weeks on end.

Your order was placed during our busiest peak season, and as with all custom, made to order products, production and delivery dates are provided as estimates. During busy periods, response times can be longer across all channels, including phones.
To be clear we don’t block any numbers and whilst we may not be able to answer or call back immediately when volumes are high, we do offer alternative channels pf communication on our phone message and we can see that after calling and leaving voicemails, you reached out via live chat, where our team continued to assist you.
To resolve the situation, we issued a full refund as a gesture of goodwill but still completed and shipped your order. We’re glad to hear you were happy with the books themselves and appreciate your mention of Scott, who helped bring this to a resolution.

The product is outstanding

The product is outstanding, however there is a slight issue on one of the pages. It was well packaged and shipment arrived on time. Communication with customer service and the production team is incredibly slow, as is response time. They did a reasonable job of addressing concerns, but response time is not the quickest. Over all a positive experience and we will use them again. The first time printing a book is a bit of a learning curve, that hopefully will work out smoother the next time.

Response times can be a little longer during peak season, as your order was placed during one of our busiest periods. As all of our products are bespoke and made to order, production and delivery dates are always provided as estimates to allow the time needed to produce each project with care.

Good quality for photobook.

Good quality for photobook.
But at the beginning some issue with the program for Advaced editor. Good tech support with AI. But very very very very long upload to have the visual in the Artwork after saving the edition in the Advace Editor. Lot of wast time just for waiting every time for the page to uplaod and the Preview a d proof to be done.
Otherwise, very userfriendly to use create layout in Advance Editor.

Other thing that bother me in the advance Editor is the No possibility to creat my own template. I would like create some and save those in the template window to use it again easily for other pages.

Perfect price and excellent print…

Perfect price and excellent print quality. I honestly have nothing to complain about.
I initially printed only a few copies to check the colors and overall result, and I’m extremely happy with how they turned out. Seeing the final product helped me decide on the next steps, and I will definitely be printing 100–150 copies.
Five stars from me ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Beware of estimated delivery times

I have been helping clients print books for over 15 years in Canada, the US and Europe. Never have I had such poor customer service. A book that I was originally told would ship December 11 actually shipped January 13. I was informed of the initial delay of one week but not of subsequent problems.
When I followed up, I received a 5% refund. This was welcome but didn't make up for my client's disappointment. I understand that Christmas is a busy time but would have expected this to be reflected in the initial schedule. Always better to under-promise and then over-deliver.

Our delivery dates are estimates based on production capacity at the time an order is placed. During particularly busy peak periods, such as the festive season, schedules can change as we replan production to accommodate volume and unforeseen factors. While we always aim to communicate updates as quickly as possible, during these periods we may not be able to do so as promptly as we normally would. For this reason, we strongly encourage customers to let us know about any fixed or critical deadlines at the very start of the order process, as once an order is in production it can become difficult, for us to make adjustments later on. That said, we understand your point about expectation setting, and we appreciate you taking the time to share this perspective.
We’re glad the goodwill refund was received and despite the challenges around timing, we hope you’re pleased with the finished books.

The shipping/delivery date got bumped 2 times. Once the order arrived, there was a printing error.

From time to time, production schedules do need to be adjusted, and occasionally pages can become mixed during the binding process.
