Paying over 80% more for a paid off loan
I used Minto Money for a quick $1,300 loan for medical bills and chose to pay around $240 bi-weekly to pay it off. Nowhere on the application did it say they would be charging me 500% interest EVEN AFTER ITS BEEN PAID OFF. I made payments on time and it has been fully paid for but I’m scheduled to continue paying these charges for over $8,000. This should be noted clearly before accepting the loan. I understand high interest rates if you’re not paying it off, but if it’s already paid for how can I still be charged for interest? With automatic payments I didn’t realize I was still being charged. So maybe I should have paid more attention. But how this is not considered criminal is beyond me. Why would ANYONE who needs a quick loan for bills or something that is not in their control agree to pay $8000 for a loan that is about 16% of it? I have contacted customer service multiple times but have not received a response. Unable to get through via phone number. I did not even receive the loan agreement til it was too late according to their rules to cancel the loan.

We strongly encourage our customers to take advantage of our no pre-payment penalty policy by paying off their loan early. Doing so will result in substantial savings on interest charges. Additionally, customers have the option to make additional payments towards the principal balance of the loan, which can help reduce the overall cost of borrowing. We believe that these options provide our customers with greater flexibility and control over their finances.

This is a predatory lending company
This is a predatory lending company. If you borrow 1500.00, and pay it off the next month, your payment will be over 2000.00. If you spread the payments out, your payments will be over 600.00 per month, to the tune of over 9000.00. I did not accept the terms.
