My experience has been amazing and the treatment that I have received has been outstanding. Harriet has helped me with my recovery from getting back to walking and now back to rugby.

I've been to Varney Physio a few times over the years, the most recent visit was to get some advice/treatment on a long standing meniscus injury in my knee from playing sports over the years. Steve was excellent at taking the information about previous injuries and giving advice/a rehab program to get my knee feeling normal again. I also had a historic Achilles tendon rupture on the other leg which he also wanted to address as I had kind of given up trying to get that any better. But Steve gave me a renewed encouragement and a plan to continue building in that in to the future.

My experience was excellent in every way with this company. I had a severe case of plantar fasciitis in my foot. After a couple of sessions with Tom Green it has gone.

During my time at Varney Green I had the pleasure of working with Steve Kirman, he was great from the first initial consultation to asses the issue with my knee. Steve took time to find out about the injury I had, how long it had been going on, what profession I was in and what lifestyle I lead, all important factors for treatment to ensure it was correct. With the physiotherapy side of things Steve always started off asking how my injury has been and how the exercises/stretches had been at home and if appropriate would change, I am now fully recovered and have a better understanding of what I can and can not do to keep me injury free. I would more than recommend Varney Green for their great service

I had a sports hernia which wasn't going away. I saw Tom and within 9 weeks was back playing football again. Had to see Amy too for a bit of acupuncture on my lower back, but am now playing pain free.

Ive been working with Steve Kirman for around 5 months now, fixing and restrengthening reoccurring issues with my S1 and L5 discs. I am extremely impressed with not just the confidence i have regained with using my back after the 5 months of physio, but Steves care, knowledge and passion for the job.

Ive been to many physios for many different sports and work injuries in the past 5 years and Steve is by far the best I have come across. So much that now if i did pick up an injury, id feel more confident in my recovery.

He knows his stuff. I highly recommend.

I’ve had some a recurrent quad injury for a few years which I’ve never really managed to get over. Booked myself in at Varney Green initially with Tom who diagnosed the issue and helped me build strength up again. Tom referred me to Steve who really helped to push on my rehab and put me through my paces. He incorporated a lot of different muscle building exercises for me to do away from the physio room. Within only a few sessions I had noticeable strength back and was ready to get back into football. The help what both Tom and Steve have provided cannot be faulted. Everyone at Varney Green is so welcoming and want to help you. Excellent team!

During my time at Varney Green I had Steve, he’s was great from the get go, down to earth, honest and full of insight of questions I asked. With the physiotherapy side of things Steve always started off asking how my injury has been and once we had our chat get straight into stretches, massages and and exercises I can do after the session, with simple and straightforward explanations.

I would like to thanks Steve Kiman for all his help and advice. Suffering with a sciatic nerve issue which was very painful and I had difficulty walking, as a referee this was not good. With treatment and exercises and advice over the last 10 weeks, I am back referring. So a big thank you to him. I would highly recommend him. This is the second time of using Varney Green always friendly service and polite, always greated with a smile.

My son had been suffering for quite a while with an Achilles injury. Waiting for and NHS appointment was proving long so we took the decision to book privately with Varney Green. It was the best decision we made. The care and attention both Aimee and Steve showed my son was amazing. The knowledge and professionalism was fantastic. After completing a course of shock wave treatment my son is now pain free and back to doing his sport. He is now more aware of what he can and can not do exercise-wise and this is only strengthening the area of injury. I can not thank the team enough.

I was recuperating from receiving a new hip in March 2024. The operation was a successful but I still felt that I should not still be walking with a limp. I contacted Varney Green Physio at the Harlow LeisureZone to see if they could help me. They booked me in with Steve Kirman who from the very start put me at ease and over the 4 sessions I have had with him I have improved 100%. Steve was always positive in telling me how much I had improved week on week which you do need to hear - believe me ! What a lovely guy, and would certainly totally recommend him.

I've been suffering a really bad hip problem that has plagued me for months with constant pain and sleep interruption. Chiara initially helped me with treatment and exercises but when that didn't work as well as she'd hoped she escalated the issue to Tom who recommended a steroid injection. That work brilliantly and a few weeks on from that I'm 95% pain free and the issue is slowly subsiding. So grateful for the excellent care and the staff's pleasant way of being supportive and understanding.

I have been trying to get back into playing football after snapping my patella tendon (3+ years ago). My knee was riddled with pain after game 1 so I went back to physio. My initial assessment with Steve showed that my Injured leg was still significantly weaker then the other leg. Over the last few weeks I have been working with Steve to strengthen the leg up and have now been signed off as the pain has completely gone and I am back playing football whilst sticking to my rehab plan laid out by Steve. Can't thank Steve enough and would 100% recommend Mike Varney to anyone in need of physiotherapy.

I have been going to Varney Green Physio for nearly 18 months for monthly checks and help whilst awaiting surgery and I have never had a bad experience, very professional and friendly and always feel relaxed and refreshed after a session. Definitely recommend Harriet she is always happy to listen and always offers top notch professional advice on exercises to help and will always go the extra mile to get you help. Definitely a recommended service.

I've been seen by Matt a few times over the past few weeks, and it's really been the kind of deep tissue massage I'm after. I won't say it's relaxing, but it certainly has helped reduce those 'knots' of tense muscles that generate low level discomfort that you just end up living with. You might end up swearing while he's doing it, but you'll certainly feel the benefit! Highly recommended for those that are looking to bust those knots

I had a sports massage from Matthew Sheppard, his knowledge and skill was remarkable. He listened to what I do for a work and what exercise I do and targeted the linked areas. Fantastic!

I don’t usually write any reviews so this is quite new me. about three years ago, I injured my right shoulder I was 66 at the time and like most older people I couldn’t be bothered doing anything about it so I suffered the pain. I stopped playing tennis because I couldn’t lift my arm and I stopped going to the gym but carried on working, some days were a struggle.then a friend work, said why don’t you try Varney Green in Harlow and gave me the phone number. I rang and booked an assessment the following week. I was introduced to my practitioner Tom Green after discussing my history, Tom gave me a scan and diagnosed I had a ruptured rotator cuff then gave me some options one of them being an injection I agreed to have The injection. a week later I had the procedure Which was painless, and Tom told me it usually takes a couple of weeks before I feel The benefit,
I can honestly say within a couple of days I had no pain in my shoulder, and could actually put a shirt on without a struggle It has only been just over two weeks and I have gone back to the gym. I know it is early days yet. But I can’t recommend this clinic enough thanks to Tom and the team. I’ve got my life back.

This studio is simply excellent! Steven helped me massively, I came for a rotator cuff injury in October and he treated me also for a subsequent ribs injury. I believe he has magic hands, he knows exactly what to do and managed to get me out of a really bad injury to the point that I don't feel I have ever been injured. He was compassionate but firm with his plan for my rehab, his treatments always left me feeling like I was making good progress and helped to alleviate the pain I was in. Excellent practitioner in an excellent studio. Thank you very much.
