Easy to order, lovely products in particular face cloths and Marushin Shima Towel which is a very useful portable hand towel square for on the go. Specialist Japanese things that are beautifully designed and useful

Unsure of authenticity
I was led to believe these were items made in Japan for general sale in Japan and this company purchased them and resold them here but the items have their name and logo on the bottom and therefore I believe they are made specifically for this company and this feels less authentic. Spoke to customer service and just told to return.
EDIT: in response to their reply please note I was first told there was a made in Japan logo and then later told it was a generic logo and the pieces are not made for them. It was hard to understand what they were saying as their responses were short and snappy. Instead of trying to explain they just tried to force a return on me. I didn’t return as it was made clear if the item was damaged in any way I wouldn’t get a refund and I couldn’t risk getting no refund and no item through courier damage. If you want 100% authenticity maybe go elsewhere.

We were disappointed to receive a 1-star review after responding to your questions promptly and arranging both a full refund and free return shipping when you said you were unhappy with the item. As we were happy to offer a straightforward return and refund, we were sorry to see that you still felt dissatisfied with your experience.
To clarify for anyone reading, all of the ceramics we sell are made in Japan by Japanese makers and kilns. We have worked directly with suppliers across Japan for many years and authenticity is extremely important to us as a business.
Some pieces may include a “Made in Japan” stamp or additional branding on the base, but this does not change where or how the products are made.
As discussed over email, we were happy to arrange the return as soon as you felt the item was not right for you.
